Tuesday before Thanksgiving PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

If you're hosting you already have that list and plans in place and you're moving forward. For those that celebrate Christmas, you were warned yesterday that the day is less than a month away!

I'm going celebrate my ta das today, join me!

Peeking in, though I should be busy getting ready to get otd.

Nice to see you, Twins!

My dbro and dniece are arriving tomorrow. He's a bit of a difficult person, but last year, he came for Thanksgiving and it was generally a positive experience. Dniece is neurodivergent and needs some extra care. We're hosting the Cs as well as a random friend or 2 so 10-11 people will be around our Thanksgiving table.

Tomorrow, I'm leaving around 7:45 a.m. to travel 2.5 hours north with dd26 to a breeder to pick up . .. . Fable, her new yellow lab puppy. 8 weeks old!! I'm so excited. We went up about 3 weeks ago to pick her out. I'll arrive home about the same time that dbro will arrive, so no time to rest up or prep for his arrival tomorrow. He will be here until Saturday morning.

Today, I have the weekly get together with 3 friends this morning, (K, S2, and J). At 1-2, I'm meeting with my personal trainer - just started last week. I was sore for days after our last meeting. I thought of you, Twins. I need to prep for class and then I'm teaching (online today) 4:30 - 5:30. Then, 3-4 dinner guests will arrive around 6:30 for Tuesday dinner (Thursday dinner in the past). Yes, we're hosting that tonight -- and then hosting dbro + dniece Wednesday - Saturday, as well as other guests for Thanksgiving dinner. (This is after we (1) hosted Dd29's bday dinner last Friday - though just the girls and us but a bit of cooking - and (2) hosted community group 4-6:15 on Sunday followed immediately by hosting dinner with the Cs and dd26 6:30 - 8:30-ish -- I'm hoping my introversion doesn't implode at some point this week. . . . ) Other things to do today: grade drafts for my AIW class (in person), start laundry, pay snail mail bills, reserve bnb for next trip to IL, social email catch up.

Have a great day all!!

Slept in till after seven nearly 7:30 felt wonderful.
It is raining outside I swept leaves of half of the driveway so I could get the can out with out fear of slipping on wet leaves.
Got the trash dumped and the can is out to the curb now.
Next after coffee I need to do the other half of the leaves on the cement driveway.
So glad I did as much as I did yesterday on them.
Also glad I got the floors vacuumed.
& worked a bit on the kitchen off and on between chores yesterday.

I have not done my QT journaling or any of that stuff I do early on before day lite.
It might wait till dark-thirty today.
Ddoggo has been out already.
I finished up a forest green dish cloth yesterday to add to may collection I'm keening them in around metal basket with colorful tissue paper
in it that brings me joy!

It is great to read your posts.

I slept in until 8 a.m. and have been lollygagging a bit. I had nearly 10K steps yesterday and was tired. Dinner was lovely, wonderful to see Z and family. Baby is five months old and cute as a button. Round cheeks and beautiful smile too. She was a little off. Z took her upstairs to quiet for a few minutes. I love seeing him as a daddy. Not much clean up, I have table back together.

I already went out to take dh's shirts to cleaners. Not sure why he was keen for me to go today - almost zero chance he could get them back tomorrow afternoon, and them we're away until next Thursday.

Since I had such a productive day yesterday, today is, of course, an off day. I need to get through a.m. routine and perhaps do one or two things on my list for the week, but I don't have great expectations. Tomorrow I'll need to push. And Thursday, Thanksgiving, packing and last minute stuff.

Helia, I'm off with my trainer this month, hoping to get back next month. The gym is moving and I could only work out once a week so decided to save my $$ for now. Dh has changed to a gym closer to home, and I may do so eventually. Do you like your trainer?

I need to finish a.m. routine first...

Waving to Nancy who is a powerhouse this week! I don't think I could keep up with you.

And a big way to bw2 also. Worrying for you, dd, dh, dmother. Your attitude is just the best. I need a lesson!

Hi, all

helia brings the happy word "puppy" in today. Great name. We'll hope to hear all about Fable's upcoming adventures.

bittersweet has enjoyed her visits from distant family by now - looking forward to hearing about all of that.

My day has been dominated by a visit from HRH's friend traveling through. They are being technological at the moment, but will go out to eat together later.

Just checking in. I wrote a post earlier but lost it when chrome browser decided to not play nice. Then it wouldn't let me onto the SHE board at all. This happens about once a week. I switch to using brave browser for a few hours and then eventually chrome browser will let me access she board again. OHS well.....

My day has been filled with activities that interest me. Family, cooking, gardening, creating. It feels good to feel good again.

I had 10K steps yesterday.
Today I have been to the store & did errands got most of it put away.
I still need to take a few things to the basement freezer.
Got the mail.
We had rain but it stopped.
Counters need attn. still.

Tried to do donation drop off but they no longer take em on Tues. & Wed. That was a bummer.
I did not have much so that was good.

I did find a couple diff. sizes of boxes for card files so I'm glad I stopped there and went in the store,

Have not walked yet taking a breather after shopping and unloading the rig.
Glad I found some items I did not find last time I was there and they had my Rx back in stock yea!
