Re: Where is your wallet Wednesday?
I usually have it in my coat pocket during the winter when I'm wearing a coat with big pockets. If it isn't in there, it's in my craft bag. Dh and I have a routine every night when both vehicles and the garage door are all checked to see if they are locked. There have been a few nights when this hasn't been done, so I try to make it part of my routine to do it before it gets dark. Right now that time is when I am getting supper ready.
Today is Walmart day and I will be trying to get dh some blades for his razor.

Re: Where is your wallet Wednesday?
lol my wallet is still wet from the dogs dropping it into their dog bowl -
I do have to get cash for Friday - I don't think dd younger can come until dinner.
thank d cathy for starting us!!!
I never thought about my wallet as being part of a routine-what a great idea!- I don't have a purse (my good one finally stopped being a good one)
I have dh's dr. appointment - I might do Christmas cards in the car while waiting. The drs. office is always filled with overbooking.
my husbands wife and her sister are coming in to take mom out to lunch - I just thought about: I didn't call mom about her meds last night and I worry she will take 2 doses of meds.
Musts calling the restaurant for Friday for mom.
cash
prep thanksgiving
gas car
hello everyone

Re: Where is your wallet Wednesday?
We made it to NJ with no problem. Though the airport wasn’t busy I noticed Sweetie was a bit stressed. I asked the United desk at the check-in that Sweetie has Alzheimer’s if we might board early. Much to my surprise I was told the airline considers that a disability and we could board right after the people in wheel chairs did. Since there were no one in wheel chairs we boarded first. That made all the difference for Sweetie.
Had no problems renting our car and we were pleasantly surprised that the Newark airport was no more crowed than usual. Both the Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway do take cash,, but I was able to purchase an easy pass programs for just the two days I would be using the tolls.
It’s been interesting to see how Sweetie responds to the area we grew up in. So far so good as he tells me everything is vaguely familiar. Spent a good part of the afternoon with my brother and his lab. It’s obvious to every one, including Sweetie I need a dog.
My brother just went through two back surgeries two days apart several weeks ago and it’s good to see how well he is doing. The older my brother and I get, the closer we become and we have always been close to begin with. I love being home! Everything is so comforting to me and brings such happy memories. Most of the leaves are off the trees, but the Maples are still holding on to many of their.
Fall has always been a favorite season for me.. love the sights and smells of leaves piled along the sides of the roads. Today I will take Sweetie down to the ocean where we will walk the boards.. as in board walks. I will take him to our neighborhood so he can see where we grew up, including the houses we grew up in. They sit wide by side.
The weather is cold, but sunny and bright.
Waving to y’all… we are off to start our day.

Howdy lovely ladies!
I was up on time did my QT & journal page & lists.
Had some food.
It's is foggy & frosty out here this morning.
I need to get the cheese cake and pie & cheese cakes out of the freezer to the fridge and get em cut before I take em to the fam. dinner
plus a few 11 is the count. Glad I got the other pie! LOL! There will be one other so that makes 4. Plus cobbler Dgd is making.
I have pies up from the basement freezer now and in the fridge.
I am Waiting for it to get a bit warmer before heading outside.
Cleaned out my wallet so all I'd good there.
I mixed up bread dough & it's rising in the oven now
So glad the sun is out now here today!

Re: Where is your wallet Wednesday?
How wonderful to be in such a familiar setting and "feels like home" RR. I'm glad you made this visit, and glad you now know about an accomodation for dh. I know that would lessen my own anxiety about boarding!
The weather when we will be in NYC is cold but not frigid cold, and not rainy. The last two years we've gone in Nov./December we have had rain, which really makes it miserable walking places. We'll spend Saturday with dd: Bryant Park Market when it opens in the morning, probably a trip to the Cloisters - the Metropolitan Museum of Art branch in upper Manhattan devoted to the Middle Ages. It's apparently very scenic too because it's on the Hudson River. We'll see a matinee show on Sunday, dinner on Monday night with dcousins and dd, and an evening show on Tuesday p.m. Dh wants to try to set up something with the other dcousins - the first above is a first cousin which we reconnected with, and we haven't seen them in several years up there. The second set, dh is closer, but we also saw him last spring when our flight overseas was rescheduled and we set up lunch. The second set are second cousins, and are both retired now, so they could potentially have lunch or brunch too. But leaving Friday open - there's potential travel complications on the day after T-giving - Sunday we only have the show. Monday is clear except for dinner but OTOH museums and shows are closed on Monday evening. And Tuesday open except for evening, and Wednesday until later afternoon. I'd like to get to the NY Public Library - I totally love that building. Lots to do there.
I've been lollygagging and need to get busy. Most important thing that I can't do at home and can't do tomorrow is to go to Staples with returns. (Do you sense procrastination here?)
I'm almost a little OCD about my wallet and credit cards but it doesn't keep me from occasionally losing them. And rings. My wedding ring. Because I don't wear rings at home I sometimes take it off at home without thinking about where it is. I think that I'll remember, then I don't.
Waving madly at everyone!

Re: Where is your wallet Wednesday?
It was actually just a calendar — the little 2-yr calendars you carry in your purse — but it sure was driving me crazy. Now let’s see… yes… wallet is right here on the kitchen counter where I leave it unless I am taking my big purse out with me.
Dgs just left.
I’ve got to get busy with making dressing.
BBL!

Re: Where is your wallet Wednesday?
I have been a little teary eyed every so often and then happy - very interesting.
--------------
I took 15 minutes to myself - laid on the couch to read and put xmas music on- then dd's big dog came over and gave me a big wet kiss all over my face-i couldn't stop him -I had a good laugh about it! I looked at what I wrote (erased it) and realized there is nothing I can do about things except do my best. feeling so much better!!!
