Wow! One more week until the holiday, and 2 left for the year!

I am taking a break to mentally switch focus.
DD13 is at school
DS16 is at work. I made him 2 hoagie sandwiches to eat on his drive there.
DH just left to attend a funeral 1/2 mile from our home. I made him a good breakfast (eggs, sausage, hot link, hashbrowns) so I know his bsugar is stable.

I'm awake now.
I have been updating auto pay info. 4 of 6 done and the others are not due till spring so I have time.

Morning…

I love mincemeat anything!!!

Been to class, coffee with the girls, $ store and groceries.

My Christmas begins on early Christmas Eve when my son family comes for dinner. Christmas Day for us … Sweetie and I will be celebrated by ourselves.

I am done with the exception of making my cheesecake and sweet potato casserole which I will make on Monday. All I’m left to do is laundry and daily routines.

I am glad to be done… I’ve even put away several decoration boxes I’m not using back in the attic.

--get checks to temple with holiday bonuses from cemetery (take when I go to funeral)
--take ck to foundation to transfer cemetery funds to investments
--possible shopping in specialty shop for gift for dfriends who have us over on Christmas Eve (they have exquisite taste and don't hesitate to buy themselves beautiful things. She also bake, cooks, decorates beautifully. I trend toward consumables but am perpetually stumped. It really should be a "thank you" gift for entertaining us but she buys wonderful things for me for my birthday)
--stop at CVS to talk to pharmacist about my script that is perpetually backordered - should I ask doc for different meds?

Still on a.m. routine here but at least I'm moving.

Dh and I burned some cardboard and 4 paper bags full of paper/recycling. Finally had a day with no breeze.

Dh delivered all the local cards and one person showed up to pick up his card.

Dh boiled some eggs for our lunch. He was in the mood for egg salad and I love 2 hot hard boiled eggs occasionally. Nice lunch for an overcast day.

Dishwasher has been emptied. Floors have been spot mopped.

the nausea meds (most of the time) are a Godsend - dh didn't want to take them but once he did he said it made a difference for him. I used to have to take it and now dd younger, with her pain disorder, has to take them when it hits (usually before the pain hits).

I do hope you feel better sweet Harriet! Sorry that happened!!
so cute that Tobias wanted to make you feel better as you rested! Well done on getting the kiddos gifts done!
no adult gift giving is a relief. We stopped that a few years back and it has made it so much easier.

it's been wonderful not going to mom's this morning! brother is still there and it's been wonderful! He said she is doing great except for not as steady as she should was.

I might make an appointment with the local hospital exercise building for suggestions on strengthening her body again.

I did dishes and then dh did the rest! I thanked him for helping - I don't know why he had his undies in a bundle before but I am so relieved that (for now) he is busy and happy again. I am just going to enjoy it. His brain is great and I am so happy for the moments we have like this.

dh I can see can easily turn again - I went to get rid of a plastic bag on the table and he stopped me - not happy- same with his big bag of recycled cardboard - it's a tight large brown bag of cardboard sitting on the dining room table. I told him I had tons of plastic bags so I would be glad to take it - he in the closet in the plastic bag holder - I get rid of three stuffed grocery bags every week - he stores them in the garage. Next put dogs away bc brother is coming over

I will look at mom and get her in a bit. I am tempted to let her stay there this afternoon but she always get sick if I do that.

how his boss is doing

He is doing well. He did greatly reduce his movement for a week of two right after he broke back in 5 places. Then he started doing things while wearing back brace. At first he could only walk to his pickup and drive slowly. He kept pushing until he is almost back to full activities. He does have DS16 do a lot of the activities that jar the back (driving skid steer, tractor, etc). His boss has multiple projects on going that he is personally overseeing. He is building a home for parents to move to so they can be closer (they live 7 miles away). The plan is to have a complex of homes for multiple generations living near each other and homes that can be passed on as the generations come/go.....thinking of Harriet family living near each other.

Why does it seem I don't get much done? Maybe it has to do something with DS16 calling me several times this morning to talk. I get started doing something and then I stop and listen to DS16 tell his concerns.
Me: You need to get off the phone and be a good employee.
DS16: I am being a good employee. I am driving across the pasture to pull fence post. Whether I am talking on the phone or not doesn't influence what I am currently doing.
Me: You were driving the skid steer last week and the track came off. Maybe you need to pay more attention?
DS16: DBross said it wasn't my fault the track came off.
Me: Okay. But get off your phone unless you have a reason to use it while you are being paid.
....and while I am typing this, DS16 calls me again.

[ ] Take dd her Christmas present. (and some lemon squares as a treat.) It is an appliance she needs NOW (actually many, many, months ago but she's stubborn and spent ages trying to fix her electric kettle, then trying to find another kettle for free or used, and, in the meantime, likely wearing out her frother which she's been using to boil water because she won't boil water in a microwave and is too distractable to do it on the stove in a pot.)

I am delighted that I remembered to put my phone in my pocket while playing wool with my spinning wheel that counted for some
exercise. So windy out we just went round the block. I had a smaller 1" around branch come down hit the iron railing but no damage.
I moved is from out of the front yard. Good news leaves are off the gutter covers in front now yea!

Ddoggo was fine outside in the wind but inside she went to her safe room the window less bathroom.
I'll be heading back to the basement for another batch of spinning.

it's sunny and 51* outside. Winds are supposed to die down in an hr. or so we will
go out again after that and finish up a walk as ddoggo did not yesterday b/c some one
was target practicing.

LM can you say I have to finish this task of _________ to dson I cannot talk long.
Or I'm waiting on a call.
