Re: Much to do Monday
So -- I've been to the doctor -- more in J&C, but maybe this will be a good thing.
I am waiting on call back from nurse at gyno office.... missed her call while I was with family doctor...
I've talked to dmom and daunt, and Dcousin, re: funeral plans for tomorrow. Harriet -- surprisingly, I am not nervous about going to the funeral. I rarely see this side of my family, but I love them very much and they are really wonderful people. Especially with this great-uncle being the last of my dgrandmother's siblings, I want to go. My dad was probably closer to these two cousins than any of his others, certainly during my lifetime. I will meet dmom at my church at 11:30, funeral begins at 1:00 after visitation, and we will probably go to the cemetery and possibly eat with family afterwards.
(Dcousin because daunt/her mom was confused about what time I said funeral was. Also daunt asked me if dmom and I could pick her up, and of course I said yes, but Dcousin says "I don't know why she said that. You get your mom and I'll get mine." (Again -- daunt is having memory issues.)
This funeral will be about 20 minutes away -- town where my dad grew up and cemetery where my grandparents are buried.)
Right now, I'm feeling "okay" about tonight and tomorrow night even. DS will be going to dbil's and will go to the NYE gathering with cousins, "as long as we aren't staying five hours" DS said. LOL -- I told him I agreed -- maybe we would spend a few hours with them, no more than 2-3 hours, and then we'd make our exits.
Happy birthday to Twins' dad and Ken In Canada! Hope you both have a great day.
Twins, y'all get all the celebrations over with at once, don't you?
I'm swapping dgrands in about an hour. DGS has to get a haircut. I told DS to bring DGD over when he gets DGS. Still kinda nervous about being home alone, you know. I need distraction. Then we go to dbil's at 6:00 pm. DDil is not going; she still feels flu-ish.
I have finished the laundry, except for folding towels and underwear.
I'm still planning to take the tree down on Wednesday, hoping to start the new year free of Christmas hanging over my head. Would like a totally clean slate, but there's no way I can get the biopsy done and forgotten about before the new year.

Re: Much to do Monday
Happy birthday to the board twins today!
Twins Dad & Mr. K in C.
I took a couple of items to the basement one Nativity wall plaque my gran made.
Another item a sign let it snow & fall on the opposite side.
I have another sign that also says let it snow and that one needs to go up a leaning sign out front.
I have a break after our walk I crocheted a section on a bright green hot pad
watched a history show while my lunch cooked and the enjoyed that.
Ddoggo is having her nap now. [She is 10 gotta luv fb to help know that!}

Re: Much to do Monday
We are experiencing a wonderful weather day (74F bright sunshine) before the winter weather arrives. I've heard the words Winter Polar Vortex to describe our weather next week. We still have flies and other insects flying around outside so i know we need the cold weather to happen.
We went on a mini adventure. We drove to get drinks from drive-thru coffeehouse that we have never been to. DD13 got mango smoothie and DH got unsweetened black coffee. I stuck with my daily DDrPepper.
DS16 continues with his normal life that include a dozen phone calls to me. I could write everything he is doing today but that is too many words.

I must have patience

Re: Much to do Monday
Always blame or invoke the dr when possible, blessed. "The doctor says... .." is a phrase that takes the emphasis off of you and puts it onto the relationship between doctor and patient. Also helps when you can honestly remind, "You/we promised the doctor... ..", which makes the doctor sound like a good guy, not a mean old slave driver or something.
I took a nice walk and saw mostly my own family, pacing myself when I noticed others walking my way. I'm looking unfamiliar and just don't want to explain during this time of flux. Missed seeing ddil, who was still working, and their dog. Poor oldest granddog has been in hospital overnight since I've seen her. She seems well.

Re: Much to do Monday
you are truly brilliant d harriet!!!
the walk sounds lovely d harriet! praying for your ddil's dog. glad she seems well.
dd's are struggling with each other as well - that hasn't happened in a long time.
one calls and then the other. the both are struggling. I can just be there with a listening ear

Re: Much to do Monday
I did crocheting on the edging of a project I set aside a week or so ago.
More to do but that's enough for now.
I need to consider dinner.
Sorted out some more knitted items I made before and put in a tote.
Found the cards for a card file set up and possible box solution.
Found a few more items to put down stairs of holiday stuff.
I got up early enough that I am feeling it now and it's to early for a wind down.
I need to get more steps in also.
