Rose, I try to at least start a list the night before and get the appointments out of the house into my head. This a.m. I had body work at 10 a.m. and dcleaning lady was coming around ten. So I had to do some straightening up for her, walk dog, and eat breakfast before I could take off. And since we were out last night and got home around 10, I went straight to bed and didn't get a look at today - other than dcleaning lady and body work.
I have a workout this afternoon at two.

Re: Thinking Cap Thursday
Update the place I get tires & batteries has em in stock.
Dson is going to help me get it going to take in for one and set up the charger I have here.
[I cannot reach it.]
I have picked up after the doggo in the back yard.
Finished a hot pad ends are woven in on the knitting project I was doing.
I need to remind myself to get under the couch more often like once a month at least.
Had some lunch.
Did a quick damp mop of the click it together floors yea!

Re: Thinking Cap Thursday
good afternoon - cleaning angels came - it was a touch up from last week - I had it pretty good before but now all the floors are washed again.
we are going to have lunch and then work on what needs attention.
I still have to exercise
mom still has her pt to do.
it's cold and sunny -
hello d twins, wonderful - body work and cleaning angel..
hi d rose glad you are taking a break - that's great! I understand about the ADHD!
hi d Cathy - omelette sounds delicious
you did the dishes - a job that is unenjoyable and is still done is Good work!!!
hi d lady - I agree with ou and everyone that social media is addicting - If I could only stick with what I wanted to learn in the first place.
I am so happy for you and your dh. just enjoy the moment - praying the meds are what is lifting the fog!
hi d Nancy I am sorry your jo Ann is closing - ours is closing but it doesn't hold good fabric anymore - I miss the quality that fabric stores used to have - ours has turned into a large craft junk store. I wasn't surprised to hear it was closing. yay that those tires and batteries are back in stock.

Blessedw2 I didn't get any further than emptying and refilling the dishwasher. There are pots and pans waiting for attention. They are still waiting. They are not done.
I tried to have a nap. I read for more than an hour. I tried to close my eyes. Nope. I think 2 p.m. is too late to try again.
I truly think K in C is gone from here until either your current President in no longer living or no longer President, whichever comes first. Her last post was the Sunday night before he officially took the oath. I would love to see her post again, but totally understand why she isn't.

I think we are taught that if we do some of the job that it's like not doing it at all. Not True!!! it's part of baby steps.

Re: Thinking Cap Thursday
mom - has sat all day - refuses to move from the couch - first it was tv and now she is reading - I am going to have to do physical therapy with her. I might wait for dd older to do that with her. She has mom do yoga moves but can't understand that mom is unsteady on her ankles and will fall - she needs someone next to her.
I did a nice cleaning in the laundry room - much nicer - it needs a good deep scrubbing but I did a surface cleaning - washed the surfaces of the walls, sink, washer and dryer, floors, behind washer and dryer.

Re: Thinking Cap Thursday
I cannot see the hill snowing up there we got one or two flakes.
I fixed ddoggo's food for the evening.
So glad it's peaceful in the house now I turned off the TV.

Thinking on my meal plans and snacks for later.
Plus net project to knit up.
It's warmed up a bit so when it's snowing I can walk ddoggo to the corner she will like that!
But down 1/4 " in no time walked to the corner & dson came & put the charger on my truck for me &
changed the light bulb in my butterfly room for me too.
Then went out with ddoggo again and finished walking to the the other corner.

Re: Thinking Cap Thursday
I miss Kathryn, and I think about her DD and the dgrands often. As blessed said, whatever she needs is what I wish for her, but I have to say, we have a lot of mixed views here, and I think we are an unbelievably respectful and tolerant group. I wish I could remember who said this, but someone in public life once said something like -- "What happens in YOUR house is much more important that what happens in the White House." I think we all live our lives with that philosophy.
However... ... what happens in MY house is not much of anything. With this confession, I hope y'all will not kick me out of the village, but y'all, I am truly turning into a vampire. I mean, not literally, but those are the hours I keep. I should find some sort of night shift job. It IS embarrassing, and I was telling DS, and he said, in a spooky voice: "As night falls on Collinwood..."
Last night I watched TV till around 3:00 a.m., then read till about 4:00 a.m., then stayed in bed till 2:00 pm this afternoon!!!
I know... it's ridiculous.
OTOH, I just came across something on FB that talked about "Grief Paralysis," and apparently, it is not an unusual thing. I think it started with a quote from CS Lewis about the "laziness" of grief. Several of the posts talked about feeling this way after several months. So maybe it's just another thing I have to get through. I can do anything I HAVE to do, but as I told DS, no one is going to punish me if I don't vacuum the floors. So, the vacuum cleaner continues to sit here in the den... and the Christmas tree is still up.
The Christmas tree isn't entirely a laziness issue though. The multicolored lights and the sparkly ornaments continue to make me smile, and I did make myself a vow that I would leave it up as a sign of faith, a reminder that God IS with me, until I get a clean bill of health from the biopsy. Two weeks from today, the biopsy will be DONE. And maybe within another week, I will get a good report.
So today I've done a whole lot of NOTHING.
I talked to DS and did my walking while I talked to him on the phone.
DDIL called and asked when I would prefer DGD to go to our preacher's house and play with her grandson. They are big buddies, but he lives out of town, and he is ADHD, so I think the preacher loves to have DGD to help her keep him busy! She may go after school tomorrow, or she may go Saturday. I told ddil it made absolutely no difference to me, so ddil is going to ask DGD which she prefers. Today, DGD has her first gymnastic class, and she is sooo excited about that. (I OTOH desperately hope this does not develop into a gymnastic or cheerleader future. I just think there's too much emphasis on body image and too much peer pressure in those high school sports. Around here, anyway. I hope she stays involved in sports. Which also will be taking her time Monday, and ddil asked if I could take her to softball practice Monday, until DS and ddil get out of the chiropractor's office.)
I need to at least finish getting dressed... I do have on pants, LOL... but no bra yet, and I should go get the mail. (DDIL thinks I should have a mailbox again, but I don't want to deal with changing my address, and my goodness... if I didn't have to get out of the house for the newspaper, there's no telling how long it would take me to ever get dressed.
I sound just like your mom, blessed...

Re: Thinking Cap Thursday
I feel like I've not had time to turn around today. From getting house ready for cleaning lady, to body work, to dd calling in between to chat, to getting to workout, to dropping off a check after, then to CVS and my script costing way way too much and finally home. So when I got here I needed to walk ddog then call insurance co (they did an override this time, and in the future I need to get a three month supply) and dh had arranged (two days ago, he says he told me
) for a guy to come talk about putting built ins in our laundry room. So finally, I'm getting a chance to post while he hangs out with this guy on the porch now. We decided to try to go out for dinner, but considering it's the night before valentine's I'm not sure how sucessful that will be. So whatever. I don't know how long this dude will stay talking - dh bowls with him.
I'm beat. And I got an email from someone who told me his email in our directory doesn't get checked, so he didn't receive (ha ha) prior invoice or reminders about HOA dues. That's worth an eyeroll. I sent info on to the woman who can update that, but reminded him we like to keep it updated, so can he log in and check phone numbers etc.
I won't say today was wasted. I had a great workout even tho the young trainer went home early with possible stomach virus, and the owner guy had two of us working out at once, alternating back and forth. He offered to reschedule, but I hated to do that.
I need to go back to CVS in the a.m. and have them run script again and should be $50, not over 1K.
I've CUOP but I just don't have the bandwidth to comment. Enjoy seeing all you - I miss Kathryn and hope she will come back through someday.
