How are you setting the scene at your place on Sunday?
Are you looking toward visitors arriving, or travel out for worship, or for meeting needs?
Is there some upcoming plan for the week that needs your attention now, maybe with scheduling?
Or will this be a cucumber-slices on the eyes, feet up, fluffy bathrobe kind of recuperation day?

Re: The Sunday Scene
Oh, thank you for starting us out Harriet! I am so glad you are feeling better these days!
We're partly sunny and going to mid fifties today.
I think we only have dinner out tonight with neighborhood friends? Not sure what else dh might have on his mind.
We were out for a big swath of time yesterday - left here at 1:15 for the show, which was much enjoyed. Afterward went to A and V's house and then on to dinner with a third couple. We walked down to dinner - A and V live on a big hill and the walk back was a cardio challenge, but I made it. So that got me to nearly 52500 steps for the week - only 700 short for the week.
So far, Sunday scene here is quiet, just the way I like it. The village is quiet this a.m. as well.
Dh is going to the gym to workout. He's hoping to start workouts again this next week where I'm going.

Re: The Sunday Scene
I woke up singing - I dont think it was good for everyone else
- when I was in middle school; I was asked to just mouth the words when the class sang - even at Girl Scouts - one of the girls in our troop said everyone can sing when she saw me mouthing the words - when I started you could see her wincing.
I was waiting for the dogs to join in.
happy Sunday everyone.
I watched services with mom
the house is so hot for me - but I am the only one who struggles with it. I think our labs do as well.
I have been tempted to sleep in the 3 season room
I am starting my feverfew this afternoon for the light system.

Re: The Sunday Scene
I woke after it was already lite out at 7.
Listened to worship music.
Did my prayer journal & audio Bible segment & Morning Pages Journal.
My 40 days project today the lesson was on protecting your rest I"d saved this one for today.
More birds are here and I can hear them outside and seeing squirrels in the yard and trees in front
and back yard is fun this morning.
Had some breakfast.
I have clean dry hair now.
Waving to all of you!

Re: The Sunday Scene
The morning message from local church who broadcasts was very good today. She is so well prepared with her thoughts always, and insightful. I "got there" in time for the sweet piano medley beforehand. I took lots of notes and learned about the specific emphasis ancient author had for some books - didn't realize it was so clear before. Repetitive emphasis, if you know to look for it.
My voice-box is suffering from the treatments like many other parts of me, lol, hopefully temporary as well. I would not have added much to any congregation singing today. It's reassuring they keep the same ministers, song leader, pianist. HRH doesn't appreciate song leader's talents - I see that he is trying to be strong-voiced to encourage others in louder, confident singing. I don't think he realizes it sort of sounds like solos when being recorded into mic, or maybe he can't do anything about that.
I had my oatmeal and fruit for breakfast and HRH had the second of his 2 lettuce wraps. We were definitely not on the same page, were we? HRH says for some reason bread is the least appetizing thing to him. I hope he starts feeling more like himself. it will be 56 degrees this afternoon and he says he plans on getting some sun, hoping that will feel good to him.
Twins', I can't imagine you having a cardio challenge, you get iN so much good exercise.
blessed, what was it about the feverfew? I must have missed something. Nice you have new fluffy slippers! I take my bedspread up and down depending on room temp right now. It's not as consistently cold, maybe.
I have to remember to rinse my broccoli sprouts 3 times a day - need to put that into planner somehow. Wondering if houseplants could use watering early in order to take advantage of this downtime in feeling a little more consistent.
Wondering about making my pineapple-pepper skillet meal today. HRH's appetite is so iffy. We are working on a grocery list, but his heart and stomach are just not in it!

hahahaha! No, not really. Trainer has me do some ten or five second "sprints" and continue but my heart rate doesn't get straight up the hill challenges, and I walk in the neighborhood where it's flat. This hill was straight up, stop to catch my breath, climbing. I did feel I recovered well so that was satisfying.I can't imagine you having a cardio challenge, you get iN so much good exercise.

Re: The Sunday Scene
What a wonderful relaxing day we are having. DS16 went to the Red River with friends to play in the mud with their toys (atv, sxs, etc). That means we only have one teen in the house.
We have bright sunshine and temps in the 60's. It is hard to believe we were -15 just a couple days ago. I have been to the garden several times today. I am going to be sore but don't care. Soaking up the sun while hands are in the dirt is totally worth a few sore muscles IMHO.

Re: The Sunday Scene
I hope Cathy is doing okay and isn't experiencing bad winter storms.
I binge watched a NFix show = Zero Days. I am not a typical "who done it" fan but this show did keep my interest from beginning to end. It feels unfamiliar to me to be able to start and continue doing things without stopping.
DS16 has only called me once today. This is weird to not receive a dozen calls from him and/or coming in & out the door with high energy and nonstop talking. He is having a good time and no one is hurt. One sxs became stuck in deep water but they manage to pull it out. They are leaving the river which means DS16 will be home in about an hour.
DD13 has been fed twice and went on a walk with us. She is happily chatting online with her IRL friend.
