Ta da Tuesday PWYC
Yes! Ta da Tuesday again! Let the tally begin! What accomplishments will you be able to list today? A little work, a little play, a little of this and that?

Re: Ta da Tuesday PWYC
Good morning!
Twins- Thanks for the start.
Our temperature is going to be in the 80'ish for the first time this year. Bring it!
TA-DA - DD13 was delivered to school with no problems.
TA-DA = The trash was assembled and taken to the road with the help of DS16 and the gorilla cart. We beat the trash truck arrival which sometimes seems to be a race to the finish line. I can hear it coming a mile away so that keeps me moving at a quick pace.

80's!!! shock
hope you and your children have a wonderful day!
yay on your garbage getting out to the road before the truck came.
hello everyone
yesterday was a sleep all day - I think its my body trying to fight something - I felt I was getting a cold the other night and then yesterday I couldn't keep my eyes open - I slept beautifully all day
and all night.
listening to my online bible study.
pulling cards - I left my kitchen and laundry room in a shambles yesterday - that is first!
it's supposed to be 42 degrees today
yesterday I started my fever few and a few other things.
Has anyone started Delphiniums before? I bought seed and I am hearing that it needs dark germination

Re: Ta da Tuesday PWYC
lucylee, it's pleasant to start reading a day's PWYC with your post from night before. Wouldn't miss it, or any you happen to post when you drop in midday. You're just a night owl - one of those who, from ancient days, would save their neighbors by still being awake enough to holler when something happened in the night. (smile)
LadyM, you just had cold weather! 80ish? goodness. Enjoy.
Mystery, thinking of you!
blessed, sorry that's one I haven't started before (but they are so beautiful, aren't they? Blue, sometimes). I'd say check youtubes or other online resources. My broccoli sprouts need dark germination, and I have a kitchen cabinet area I use. That may not work well for soil germination taking a longer time, though.
Groceries arrived here, and as usual there is some bewilderment at shoppers, who, we have learned, never come back for any reason. I think one thing that has happened is that we have gotten one bag of someone else's groceries, or, perhaps, a clean-out of a shelf? - yogurt and the same-brand-name yogurt liquid drinks, smoothie bases, lots of it. What? HRH eats no yogurt, no way, no how. This is super-condensed dairy type, thick, and seems to me to be sniffles in the making for me. I do fine with some dairy, but very condensed like hard cheeses or thick things will send me for the tissues.
We ordered some microwave-type baking potatoes this time because last time the bag of potatoes was completely "off" with big brown areas inside each one. These we were sent are each about the size of a lemon, lol.
Trash also on the PODA here today. Also Desk Day to the mailbox and a short trip out to pharmacy 1 's drive through, we hope.
I'll continue to water houseplants a little early this time to keep from stress if their caregiver isn't on her game later. Thursday appt will give me an idea what my schedule will contain going forward.
Continue broccoli tending (smile)
Would like to change sheets and wash linens.
Still watching HRH. He went back to bed a while with a headache. His eyedrop prescription has just been changed some, and maybe that is contributing.

Re: Ta da Tuesday PWYC
I woke up at 6:10 feeling a bit off today milder symptoms than the past week so that was good and they
were gone quicker than in the last few days too.
Did my journals and my lesson was more pages and more questions that other days seems to be
that way one day a week. But it's cloudy and I do not mind focusing on that on these darker days.
Trash was taken to the curb before it was fully lite out.
Glad it was at least dawn then.
Did my basement walk about.
Bfast x
Time for me to s2s & got dressed. X
Walked earlier than the usual for me trying to beat the worst of the gusty winds.
Brought the can back in from the curb.

Re: Ta da Tuesday PWYC
Well, the sleep doc appointment was a bust because it's on MARCH 25. They could have gotten me in, but sometimes insurance doesn't like it when you go before it's been a full year so I'd rather not do battle with them again. I got in some steps there - I forget that the office moved, so had to find a parking space and then hike to the building, to the elevator way down the hall, and then to the far end of the very long building.
I decided to stop on the way home at the sports shoe store near us and got a new pair of sports/running/walking shoe for workouts. I try to keep three pairs - one is nice for indoor workouts and social occasions, one is middle of the road for walking ddog, and one is old for yard work. I gave dd my middle of the road pair last fall when she didn't bring walking shoes, then let her take them home with her, so the newest shoes started getting all the work and now don't look so clean and fresh.
So I only have about 30 minutes now until I need to leave for therapist appointment. Unfortunately, I started pulling things out of my night table which has been stuffed full of CPAP and other stuff...now I need to clean it up. There's a lot there that can be pitched though.
Ta da
garbage was out last night
almost finished a.m. routine (there's the bed, where the night table stuff is scattered)
new workout shoes
pulled everything out of night table

Re: Ta da Tuesday PWYC
Just got off my gazelle and am eating my lunch. We had lots of rain yesterday and then a storm really hit us about the time I went to bed. A bit later it began to thunder and that lasted for a while. Today the sun is out but it is. Still cool
Yesterday I spent of the day working on my DAR application and getting my paperwork organized. Needed to open up and use my card table for that. Don’t think Einstein will be too happy with that.
I also cleaned and reorganized my fridge and same with my pantry. I do my fridge most weeks, but my pantry needed some attention.
Though I don’t work with my wild horses anymore I still help with support from a distance. We had a sweetie little filly born this time last year. It’s the foundations policy not to give out too much information about our horses and where they can be found.. not hard just go down to the river and walk around… especially our feeding station in the desert, but that’s not hard to find if you follow some of the horses at dinner time. Part of the reason is not everyone gives the horses the respect they need… we ask that the public stay 50’ from them and to keep their dogs on leashes.
Anyway we usually publicize when a foal is born because people get excited about the little ones and we do need donations since we are a non-profit group.
When a new foal is born we ask people to submit a name and then the public can vote on it. Last year our folds name was Lainey. We don’t announce the birth of a foal until it’s 2 weeks old because people go crazy trying to find them so they can take pictures.
Lainey turned out to be a feisty sweet girl who delighted everyone. She began swimming the river with its currents within 2 weeks. Very unusal and learned to eat eel grass at the bottom of the river at an early age as well… the horses have to hold their breath when they dunk the heads in the water to grab the eel grass.
Four days again Lainey went missing. We track the bands daily and know where they are most times. The alarm went off and all the volunteers went searching for her. The band she belongs to were calling for her for the first day with no luck. As the days went by, we knew something had happened to her and yesterday our biggest fears were confirmed.
A photographer found her buried under the sand a brush with lion paws and many horse hooves surrounding her. This told us three things.. the mountain lion had caught her, the other horses tried to beat it away but couldn’t and after the horses left, the lion buried Lainey so he/she would have food for later on.
This is the third foal we have lost in three years. Sweetie and I ran into one once … it didn’t see us thankfully ..and sometimes you will see their prints in the desert floor.
I know that this is natures way, but it still makes me sad. We’ve been told there has been an increase in the lion population making these types of attacks more common.
Hopefully we will have a few goals this year. We specifically control the horse population through birth control. An agreement made with the Federal govt to keep the number of Wilds at an accept acceptable number. Still I hate it when this happens

Re: Ta da Tuesday PWYC
My step count seems to be tied to warmer weather. With minimum effort, I have already met my hourly move goal and step goal for the day, and it is only noon! When I am cold, I want to hunker down, cover up with multiple layers and shiver in an effort to stay warm. What a difference it is with warm weather I am feeling free from all the clothing layers and have shed 3 of them! I am only wearing a tshirt with pants today.
Delphiniums - I have no experience with them. I think they are beautiful but being poisonous makes me leery of growing them around vegetable garden. Surely the dogs, cows and horses on the other side of the fence wouldn't be affected by them.....but I don't know.
RR - I love hearing about the wild horses.

Re: Ta da Tuesday PWYC
I got the pots and planting containers out of the plant shed.
The back half door came off.
So it lets more lite in considering a window instead.
It's blustery outside here now glad we walked earlier.
