dh got his biopsy results - benign - He waited too long to get his trac changed.
Mom has been shuffling her feet all day - she went to pt and even though she was happy they noticed it too. it was worse at the store - she said she was exhausted.
She had some angry dementia moments and insisting on me dropping her off at her apartment. She said that she was at her apartment this morning; she wasn't. I couldn't bring her to her apartment bc I was afraid that she would fall or a worse medical issue would happen. She was not thrilled but once she slept for a bit she was smily again.

I don't worry about the dogs - they have always stayed away - I have had them for so many years, multiple dogs, but I usually buy them- same with the fox gloves - I dont' have lilies because if cats rub against them and then lick their fur they can be poisoned. my fox gloves and delphiniums are behind a fence or chicken wire.

Processing therapy appointment today - PTSD discussion related to deaths of sister, brother and mother in 2016-2019, and childhood inherited trama, particularly from dmom side of family. I wept the whole session. Eyes feel swollen and I'm headachy this afternoon.

So I've been playing hookey. I did walk the ddog earlier. Dh has gone on to bowling.

I found a 1840 newspaper notice that I'm transcribing, trying to understand.

((((Twins))))) Tough to process so much. Glad you have your person to help. Therapy has been invaluable here.

Blessed - That is wonderful to hear.

How many times can I go to the garden in a day? Thankfully there doesn't seem to be a limit. I know I have been 10 times today and spent 5-15 minutes each time. I like walking and thinking which usually includes accomplishing something each visit. I have been planting potatoes, onions, pulling weeds, watering the beds, filling firepit and burning old stalks. There never seems to be an end to something else I want to do while in my happy place.

HRH, while taking trash and picking up mail, carried a gift of a variety pack of Gatorade to dstepdil to thank her for the other night.

She already had a grocery bag full of things for him that she had picked up on bargain. Mostly frozen items so our little freezer is packed.

Dstepson came by and visited here for a while after his work. He was glad to see his Dad feeling better, but honestly it has been a week of feeling under the weather for him and even today he nixed the idea of going into town. We'll put it off a while more.

Ramblin', so sorry that you had some sad news about the horses.

blessed, what very good news for you and dh. I'm sure you are so relieved that he just needs to be more aware of timely calls to dr about his trac. Sorry your dmother has been distressed - good that the pros noticed her gait/shuffle.

LadyM, was it actually hot out in the garden today? Seems amazing that you could nearly have a summer day to enjoy. You got a lot done.

((Twins')) hoping it has been good for you to process all this.

Nancy, what a surprise to lose the plant shed door suddenly. Hope you can ponder that and figure out how to change and get more light. etc.

Good evening!

Sorry for not checking in sooner. I spent much of the day yesterday dozing, and I was pretty drowsy today, too. The D&C went well, I guess. At least I survived it. (Anesthesia scares me.) For the rest of the day, I felt exactly like I'd been scraped out; feeling much better today. Now we wait for the biopsy results. I have a two-week follow-up appointment with the nurse practitioner. The medical system has repeatedly offered me earlier appointments for tomorrow. I don't know why, they won't likely even have results back by then. Maybe somewhere in the software somebody accidentally entered two days instead of two weeks? Hopefully, all is well, and I will have no more spotting. Thanks for all your concern. 💕

Like I said, I have been drowsy today, and I haven't gotten much done.

I am trying to look for meatless crockpot recipes. I try to go mostly meatless during Lent, but our Wednesdays are crazy enough that it would be helpful to have something that could sit in the crockpot and be eaten whenever people are actually home. Most of the recipes I am finding involve beans or lentils, and DH is allergic.

Sorry about the sleep doc mixup, Twins, and gentle hugs if you want them for your wrenching therapy visit.

So sorry to hear about the foal, Rose. Poor thing.

LadyM, thanks for prodding me. :) I have shed layers here, too, though I've got a cardigan on.

Nancy, what an optimistic take on losing a door! I'm sure it does let more light in!

blessed, glad to hear your DH's results were good. Sorry about the difficulties with your DM.

I hope HRH continues to improve, Harriet. It sounds like you are feeling good for now -- I hope it continues as well.

I should go see if DH has left me any dishes to dry -- he is on his way to pick up DC from play rehearsal.

I doubt I'll be back tonight, so sweet dreams, everybody!

It was wonderful. Wearing short sleeves soaking up the bright sunshine makes the body happy.
I just asked AI what the range of temperature we had over the last week. I was thinking it was about 100 degrees difference between low and high. I remember having -15 and I saw 82 today. That would be 97 differences so not quite 100. AI says 84 degrees difference between Feb 22 and Feb 25th temperatures. I am not going to spend the time to research it more, but I just know there has been a huge temperature change.

Seven vehicles in our driveway tonight. Teens are enjoying the wonderful weather too. I just looked at the shop camera and saw teens working on DS16 much loved but broken vehicle. I don't know if this vehicle will ever run again but the teens are certainly putting in the effort and enjoying the process.

Oh, good to hear from you, Mystery. I would think that resting is the exact order of the day today, and in fact, wise. I will think about crock-pot meatless without beans/lentils. Most things coming to my mind don't require the time the crock-pot method offers.

Yes, I feel okay at this time, kinda in holding pattern until Thurs appt with info and further plan.

Long talk with HRH tonight about future, including long-term hopes for the kids, and shorter-term money we might put into house, everything from the very practical like heat pump and roof to potential renovation. We see eye-to-eye on a lot but see completely different pitfalls and worry. To tell you the truth, I'm exhausted from going over it all.

Supper was pot-luck of several leftovers.

LadyM, that speedy change is hard to wrap the brain around!

Blessed, I am so glad your dh got good results! And glad you got your mom back to smiles!

Mystery, I'll be joining you in the waiting for results in about 14 hours... it would be nice if there was some way to speed this up, wouldn't it! And I imagine I will join you in the feeling like I've been scraped out... ugh... and having some bleeding. Ugh. I'm a little scared of anesthesia too -- I've only had it twice in my life -- C-section and colonoscopy. How long did your procedure take? I'm expecting maybe 30 minutes, so as my preacher said tonight, it won't be a deep, deep anesthesia. Of course, I told her, if I've got to go, I'd rather die in my sleep. She said that was very unlikely! Especially in shorter procedures like this. Mainly I'm just sooo relieved about getting to HAVE anesthesia. I don't think I could do it if it were done in the office, now that I have read up on it like I have.
Anyway -- I'll probably be very drowsy tomorrow too, at least I hope I am, ;) but I will try to check in and let y'all know how it goes.

Can you make taco soup without beans? Hmmm... probably wouldn't want to make it without beans OR meat. I'm thinking I want to make some taco soup, the kind that just uses ground beef and seven cans of vegetables? WIth all this meat in the freezer, I'm thinking that would be something easy to make and I could freeze it.

The weather here was absolutely perfect. Low 70s. Just beautiful. I wish it could be like this 365 days a year. Should be the same tomorrow.
I have to be at the hospital at 9:00 a.m., procedure to begin at 11:00, and hopefully, we will be out of there by 1:00 p.m. DDIL said DS could just call her if we were later and she needed to leave work early to pick up the kids.

Dmom, with the foot doctor... who knows? She needs the surgery, but she dreads it (and I dread it), mainly because of the 6-8 week period that she will be unable to drive, and the worry about her taking care of herself while having limited mobility. But doctor assured her that she would be able to walk around her house, with a boot that would keep her weight off her toes and on her heel. Of course, she has a wheelchair already and can use it if needed. And I may be able to get a caregiver to check on her a few days a week -- maybe home health will continue to send nurse? But doctor said she could not qualify for 21 day stay in rehab, etc, because this is not a surgery requiring overnight (or longer) stay. Sigh.
I don't mean to sound like I just want to push her off into assisted living, but as we have discussed repeatedly here -- hands on care-giving is NOT my gift. I get very squeamish at bodily fluids, etc. I also need my own space to some extent, and I am not prepared to just move in with her, or move her out her with me. But I am trying to take ds's approach and just wait to see what happens. She hasn't even agreed to the surgery yet. Maybe I can get my dbro and dsisil to come up and spend some time with her. (Just as likely, maybe Marcus Welby, MD will come to life and move in with her.)

Oh, (((Twins))) ... BIG HUGS... I hate that you had such an emotional therapy appointment.
Sometimes I think I need therapy, and sometimes I'm scared of it, just for such as this, and afraid it would make me more nervous, fear that I would be unable to trust the therapist and constantly be second-guessing whatever I said to them.

Glad you had a good day to spend in your "happy place," LadyM! That is amazing, that your temperatures changed so much! I'm sure ours are a pretty big shift, but not that much! :shock:

Well that is odd -- the door just came off, Nancy?
Of course, nothing would be unexpected around here. Carpenter says he is ready to come back and get back to work on roof and ceiling. I need to get him under the floor for the shower too, but I can live with that as is for a long while. No one is likely to see that shower anyway, and I don't need it.
I told DS to tell him to wait until at least Thursday.

Sending good wishes to HRH.

(((Rose)))

~~~ So... I can eat for 35 more minutes, then it's clear liquids till 7:00 a.m.
Tomorrow is another day.
We'll be thinking of you, lucylee. Best wishes. Sounds great that you will likely be out of there by 1:00 p.m. and it's a short time with anesthesia.
HRH says he's pretty sure he is on the mend, and we'll probably go on our errand trip tomorrow after all, so that feels like a relief. Not that I care so much about the errands, just glad to have things getting back to normal for him.
Our weather is supposed to be good tomorrow, too. I didn't get out in it enough today, so tomorrow's my chance. No where near LadyM's temps!
