Random fact. About 50% or more of DS16 friends names start with a K or C (which sounds like a K). Kaylie, Kayleigh, Kayden, Kaden, Keira, Kindyn, Kinzada, Kay, Karen, Cameron, Camryn to name a few off the top of my head. I mentally picture the spelling of their name in my thoughts to make sure I say the correct K name as I am talking to them.

Good afternoon!

I am sitting here not doing much -- DH is out at the grocery store. I had the list done the other day, but we went to a hockey game Friday night, and Saturday was full -- DH & DD went to the high-school hockey game around noonish (his team made it into the state semifinals next weekend), then we had the livestream for church, and then he and DD went to the AHL game last evening. DC spent most of the day out with a friend, so I was mostly home alone. I got a couple of loads of laundry done, but other than that didn't do much. Watched some TV and tried unsuccessfully to get myself moving.

Feeling much the same now. Just want to curl up in the comfy chair and go to sleep. I should put on the video of chair exercises and follow along; maybe that will get my blood pumping. I think that's one reason I'm drowsy -- my blood pressure is low. The cardiologist put me on what I can only assume is some fairly strong blood pressure medication before I started on the Adderall so that it wouldn't raise my blood pressure too high. Well, the Adderall doesn't seem to be affecting my blood pressure at all. The BP stays quite low until evening, at which point, I presume, the BP medication starts to wear off.

Got a message from DH; he's not at the store I thought he was. Same chain, smaller store, a bit closer to home. Hopefully it will have everything on the list. I'm not hopeful about the cheeses; the bigger store has a large cheese section.

I hope your DH is out of the hospital soon, blessed, and I hope yours feels better, LadyM.

Glad your son will be able to fix things up, Nancy.

Going to try those exercises now.

I am thankful that the right side body/hip pain has disappeared. Being able to move and walk pain free is much appreciated.

Mid afternoon CI ~
Dson stopped by briefly to secure the potting shed opening.
I'd found some wooden plant stakes to hold the door in place and secure it.
The screw heads were broken off so wind must have done it.

Walked around the block in a commercial break with ddoggo.
Will finish this later. After this Joseph Campbell the power if myth with
Bill Moyer is on PBS. I am watching it have seen some before it's been a while and I've
not seen all of it. Great for writing class info.
-----
just before dinner did three more things.
Swept driveway.
got a box ready to get out of here
put a kid gate in the shed & brought out two stools for the deck patio area they are on the deck.
Thinking I can move one chair off that is good for the yard or patio area and make room for the taller stools.
------
I did three things to make my day easier tomorrow.
I did up my dishes
spiffed up the counters & cleaned the kit. sinks.
I have washed my hair and showered, hair is still a bit damp.
Dusted the living room & some in the bedroom and my butterfly room.

Yes, our visit was really nice, thanks. They had brought us each a pint of a favorite ice cream flavor. Absolutely do not need the ice cream, but nice to think dd knows us so well she picked up exactly what we would have.

She trimmed Tobias' claws and held him like a baby - only person he allows to do that.

They took a copy of my calendar for the next few months in case they can see a place to step in to the driving responsibility and take some of it off of HRH.

Tax lady emailed and all is ready. HRH says he may stop by and pick that up tomorrow to get one thing done.

LadyM -- can you share the link to the other she board? Are the rest of on there? This board doesn't go back that far, does it?
I'm glad your hip pain is gone. That is a good plan -- one thing inside, one thing outside, one thing for self. (I've done a lot for self today. The other two are lacking...)

Blessed -- (((HUGS))) and prayers that dh will soon feel much better!

Smiling at dd's gift of ice cream and offer to help with doctor's visits, Harriet.

Looks like you've been busy, Nancy! Glad your DS was able to come over and help with your door.

(((Mystery))) HUGS for the BP issues. I think I should be checking mine daily, or somewhat regularly. The last few times I've been to the doctor they have commented that it is high.

So -- I have been keeping today simple, that's for sure.
Church, ate lunch with DS and dgrands (DDIL was working today.) After we ate, DS had to rush dgrands to a skating party, for which they only received an invitation (by word of mouth) during church. DS was a bit irked at the late notice, but I talked to the other grandmother, and I got the feeling she was a bit irked at the disorganization of family, as well.

I had to rush to funeral visitation, and I am glad I rushed! My goodness. There was two-hour visitation last night, but I didn't go then because of dmom's bday. Today, visitation started at 12:30, and the funeral was to start at 2:00. Well. I was just getting through the line to speak to family at 2:30, and there were others behind me. I decided then that I would not stay for the funeral, thinking it would be at least 3:30 before it was over, and I might have trouble getting to the party to pick up dgrands. (DS was not going to be able to do pick-up because he had someone coming to his house.) That was a good decision because I had to go past the church on my way to the party, and it did not look like the funeral was over at that time. Thee lady who passed away was 85, and her husband is a local pastor. They had three children, one of whom they lost less than two years ago, and they have four adult grandchildren who are married and have children by now. I graduated with the daughter who is deceased, and DS grew up playing ball with one of the grandsons. Still, it was a HUGE crowd, and the church was getting crowded by the time I left. I'm sure my departure was not noticed.

It's been simple because I have done pretty much nothing in the time I have been home. I started to take the garbage out, and then realized the compactor bag is not full. The trash can will easily hold two, possibly three, of these bags. I will likely not get another week's worth out of the current bag, but I can use Wmart bags for the excess. It seems kinda wasteful to take a bag that is 2/3 full to the road.

I watched some of Gone with the Wind earlier, after dmom mentioned that it was on tv, and I am watching the Oscars right now. I am mainly interested in the dresses. I haven't seen any of the nominated movies, except Wicked, and I don't recognize most of the actors and actresses names.
The fashion always amazes me -- I feel naked if I have any cleavage showing. These women have dresses cut down to their navels, practically, and I just think how uncomfortable I would feel if I were wearing that.

Tomorrow, I will have to start the day early (for me!) Carpenter should be here by 8:30, DS says.
DS will be trying to avoid jury duty. He has to report tomorrow, but he is going to ask to be excused -- he has to be out of town Wednesday, and again Friday. And it is not as easy to replace a band member as it is to hire a substitute teacher, you know.
I'll certainly have to get s2s before noon. Sigh.

Hope you all have a good week!
Tomorrow is another day.
