Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC

I did a very good impression of a morning person, Mystery -- but the trees did not arrive! They were apparently in transit during the storms last weekend and now are stuck in Nashville. Oh well -- we have some cold weather predicted this week, so it's probably just as well. It will take longer for me to kill them.

I started a load of laundry before we left for the trees. After that stop,
DS and I went to McD's for breakfast,
then he came over here for a while, and after he left,
I went to Wmart
and the drug store. I dropped off meds to be refilled,
and went to my teacher group meeting.
After that, I stopped by the post office
and went to the grocery store (for some items that couldn't sit in the car during my meeting.)

At this point, groceries are put away and I am headed out to try to find something to wear to dbil/dsisil2b's wedding party. AND to find them a gift.
I am thinking a crystal picture frame. I mean, what do you get a couple approaching 70 years old, who have been married previously for 30/40 years?
However they will not be getting a Waterford crystal picture frame. Do y'all know how much those things cost? Belk has one on their website for over $300!!! Nope... not in my budget.
But if I can't find a picture frame to my liking, I don't know WHAT I will get them. They already have everything. They have both been single at least 7-10 years. She lost her husband to cancer; his wife left him.

I am going to put the towels in the dryer before I leave
and fight the bird's nest again. I put aluminum foil where they were first building, and there is a cd hanging in the center of the door frame, dangling in the wind, and now they have moved to the other side of the door frame. RIGHT WHERE I go in and out a dozen times a day!!!

Lucylee, you can also buy a large plastic scary owl that might scare them away. I found I had to move it often to keep them on their toes. We have a couple on our porch, we've had swallows build and once they lay eggs the nest can't be touched.

Not as productive as I'd like.

Phew…this girl is tired!

I spent several hours twisting like a pretzel. Redid both bathroom lower cabinets. Had to readjust the shelves before I started working. Took every thing out, went through all the basket and threw away a ton of stuff. I was ruthless!

Then since the winds are down Sweetie and I headed outside to work on my side garden. Emptied 6 bags of dirt. Have 3 more to go, but called it a day and will finish in the morning.

Then I watered my sunnies..9 days later and some are already 4” tall. I waited till almost noon to uncover them and when I did their homes were toasty warm. Cold nights are forecasted for the next week or two so I’ll keep them covered.

Thankfully I have leftovers for dinner tonight cause this little girl is tired

We are home from another mini adventure. We went on a hike around part of a local lake. We walked next to a creek bed through the brush with no trail while enjoying looking at nature. It was slow going because of the condensed brush and downed trees. We stopped and looked at trees that had been chewed by beaver and was enjoying the experience until we came upon wild pig stomping grounds. Once we realized it, we quickly got out of there and made our way back to the vehicle. Nothing in nature scare me more than the wild hogs. They are unpredictable, fast and vicious.

I am waiting for the wind to die down so being outside in the garden can be enjoyable again. I am going to watch an episode of show while waiting.

Lost a post... sigh...

I am watching these astronauts returning. Can y'all imagine thinking you were going on a 9-day trip and then you end up being stuck for 286 days? I wouldn't even want to be in Atlanta or Nashville, or the beach... or even DISNEYWORLD under those circumstances! Packing for 9 days and then you spend 9 months away from your family and everything that's familiar to you? I bet they will be glad to sleep in their own beds!

So -- I went to Next Town and -- I have officially turned into my dmom and dgrandmother. I bought an Alfred Dunner top -- two pieces, white tank with white sheer over-shirt. I should have just ordered it, and I have not tried it on, so I hope it fits. They do not have enough help in the store these days, and the line was forever. Finally a lady in the make-up section opened her register.
They did not have ANY picture frames and I didn't want to go anywhere else, so I guess I'll be ordering online and hoping it arrives in time.

Can y'all think of anything better than a picture frame?

And guess what -- trees are supposed to be in tomorrow. DS and I will try again.

What a long day. Kind of a difficult one.

At the appt, they were doing training of young tech and it took twice as long, at least, as I was told to expect. Became a very social situation, and also trainee was a man, which was even a bit more awkward. By the time I got back to dstepdil in the waiting room, she was dozing.

The trip with dstepdil was pleasant - we are both chatty. She hung around and visited with us for a while when we got back.

Back home, HRH was happy with the explanation and dollar quote for encapsulation of our house underneath. A lot of money leaving our pockets this month. That will be done the first week of April. I don't know how long it takes.

I just had to nap. May regret it because it was too long.
