I got distracted and lost a post. I didn't get enough sleep last night, let's just say that. I've been up for a while but wasting time watching reels, lots of Helgi and Erlend. LOL! Look them up if you want a good laugh.

Yesterday, my drive down was uneventful. I met CV for dinner at a Thai restaurant. Very yummy! I then got a few groceries. Getting ready for bed, I realized that I left my toothbrush at home. I'll need to go get one this morning. I used toothpaste and my dental floss last night.

I was flooded with text messages yesterday, so many things going on. Dh had a difficult meeting at work. Ds and F bought a house. I think they looked for maybe a week. Then, they put an offer on one and it was quickly accepted. They did the inspection the next day (yesterday), and everything is a go. . . It looks beautiful! They'll enjoy having more space with their growing family.

Today, I'm going to the nursing home as soon as I can get ready. I hope to talk with the social worker guy and pack up most of my mom's things. This afternoon, I'll go to the GF bakery to bring home some goodies for the girls. I'm having dinner with dbro and will stop by the house; I might pick up a side table and art for Mom. Her mother was a very amateur painter, but she might like one of her paintings in her room. I'd like to either go for a walk or a jog this afternoon. A nap is always a possibility too.

Quiet Wednesday. I am sitting here can't seem to focus on anything. Trying to read and too scattered. Not sure why. I think a soak is in when dh leaves.

Today is going to be busy a bit and I need it to be productive. My last day off completely before the kids get here. Can't wait to see them again. Maybe some restful family time will help. I need to get the bedroom done and make it look better in here. It's not terrible. Living room needs thorough cleaning. Kitchen is just never finished. I don't even know where to begin. And there's a crisis cleaning waiting for me at dad's again. I will do what I have to there. Can't take all my day or all my energy.

Some frustrating things happening there that I can't get my head around. Yes dad has lived with mom forever. He does know her. But what if some things are changing with the dementia. There's got to be a better way than running out when something happens that is unpredictable. That's kinda generic I know. Details are tmi. I'm just at a loss.

Home from work. I had to leave at 12 to make it to the parent-teacher meeting at DS13's school, which was about as pleasant as tooth pulling without anestesia, but at least it's over. Stopped by the grocery store to get food for the kids to take tomorrow for their scout field trip, flipped laundry to dryer and laid down for 15, as the stress is catching up with me really badly. Today, I need to pack DBD / oversee the older kids' packing as they have to be at the train station at 8:20 and also Terri has a check at the hospital (no specific time and it's the opposite direction, so I am debating either being there at 7am and hoping we would be back by 8:20, or taking her a bit later and trying to rande-vous with the scouts on their way or in their final location)

laurlind, I completely understand that n o2 days seem quite alike, and new things each day are a channelge.
I'd be happy to share some of that meatloaf and asparagus with you trissie. My dbro was very hungry, adn devoured half (!) of the meatloaf (made with 1 pound of ground beef). He hadn't eaten since breakfast, and the meat was VERY good! Came from my cousin's aging cow, and entire cow was ground, including the sirloin, etc. all the good meat, not the remnants tossed into a bin!
Kittykatt, If there is another provider, I'd cancel and go with someone else. (I did that when we had 5 different problems with a company that was advertising for the neighborhood and offering good prices. )

helian my "trick" w toothbrushes: the hygienist always gives a new one. I leave that in my glove compartment... It has come in handy so many times: kids forget theirs when they come for sleepover, I forget when we go somewhere...
