Re: Yay!! It's May!!
I love a new month! It's so full of promise. For us, May will be the month where we can finally plant the veggies! I know dh is really looking forward to that.
More sunlight, warmer temperatures and turning off the furnace. Woo hoo!
I have taken the compost bin out to the road. The recycling bag isn't even half full, so that can wait until next week.

Re: Yay!! It's May!!
Cathy - Thank you for the start today. I love a fresh new month
I've had a good start to my day. There have been a few bumps in the daily path but nothing major. DD13 had procrastinated on washing her hair so that had to be quickly accomplished this morning before taking her to school.
Many of our clothes have recently disappeared. HOW can that happen? I have looked everywhere. The only thing that I can come up with is during DH memory loss period, he must have put our dirty clothes in the trash can instead of the washing machine. That trash has been picked up so there isn't any way to check it. All I know is the clothes are nowhere to be found in the house. DH used to have a week of jeans available but now he has one pair of jeans left. I used to have a dozen sets of underwear but now I have three. Our shirts are greatly reduced. In the overall grand scheme of things, this is not a big deal. The mystery of it is the most troubling but there is high likelihood of it never being solved. I didn't see it happen and DH doesn't remember.
The rain returns tonight but until then we get to enjoy bright sunshine and clear skies.

Re: Yay!! It's May!!
So sorry about missing laundry, LadyM. Hoping you can order online and get quick delivery to replenish wardrobes.
I'm so glad to see the board up today. I tried to post a few times yesterday and it would never go through, but seems fine today.
I'm doing a little genealogy instead of beaching it today - the wind has been cool out and I wasn't comfortable out there yesterday. On the other hand, I think I'm sitting under an air vent here, so cold here too.

The new-to-me phone arrived, and my data is now in the process of being copied from the old phone. So far the transfer is a straightforward process. I love it when technology works well.

Re: Yay!! It's May!!
We've had another beautiful, warm sunny day today. After church I had a long chat with DF PM -she is having a few problems right now, and another chat with our interim vicar and DF HT. Then I walked into the city centre and wanna few errands and then drove home.
Ive finally packed up that parcel and dropped it off at our local post office at the community shop (there was incentive to do this, as this PO is only open on Thursday afternoons, and I really didn't want to have to carry the parcel all the way into town.) Then I did a few things in the garden amd powerwashed the car. I now need to feed the kitties.
Lady M, if you have an android phone, you may need able to turn off the wind warning by going to settings, the apps/ notifications , then scroll down to "wireless emergency alerts" and click on this. Then you have a choice as whether you wish to allow all alerts, or just some.
Our government decided last year it would be a "good idea" to test our alert system, but it was the usual shambles, some people go the alert, others didn't get it at all, or they were woken by it in the middle of the night instead of early evening, so many people have just turned the alerts off.
I'm now supposed to be "responsible" and remind that with alerts turned off you might miss something important.

Re: Yay!! It's May!!
I went out earlier and came home a while later. Before I went out I did some large utensils and put away all the clean dishes. I filled the dishwasher with large mixing bowls and turned it on. When I came home I emptied all the large things from the dishwasher. Now there will be more dirty stuff because I need to cook supper. I am making another pork chop. This will be done in the oven. I am making fake mashed potatoes and the last of the green peas from last summer's harvest.
I had a very short nap just because it was raining for a bit. Dh came into the bedroom, and immediately got a phone call. Between him talking and then being restless, I don't think I got much sleep.

Re: Yay!! It's May!!
Harriet - it is good to see your CI (((Gentle Hugs)))
Is that using cauliflower instead of potatoes?
New phone is completely set up. Well. Maybe. I think it is then I find another thing that needs to be tweaked.
Data all transferred
Apps all transferred
sim card transferred
Now I am finding things that didn't transfer....
Ring camera notifications adjusted
Paired with FitBit
Paired with vehicle
Will pair with scale when I weigh in the morning
Now it is a matter of logging into each app as I use them.
Note to self: switching phones takes time even when it goes smoothly
KittyKatt - Thank you for that information. I did change that setting on the new phone."wireless emergency alerts"
