I've gone and gotten groceries.

We are supposed to have thunderstorms this afternoon. It's very humid here, so I hope the storms happen.

It's a lot to take care of them, Lauralind, much less the garden and all. And you work outside the home also, right? You have a full plate!

Pedicure accomplished and walked through a TJ Maxx nearby. Found a small inexpensive purse for when I don't need my (too) big purse, and I got some cute cocktail napkins that I don't need, but whatever.

Need to have something to eat and head upstairs. Zoom at 3 p.m. I can really tell this guy isn't comfortable with technology. So far he's sent 3 links.

Home from our trip to the city. DH did agree to go with us when I mentioned eating at Jimmy's Egg (his favorite place). We did 4 stops plus the 50 mile drive in less than 3 hours so it went as fast as possible. Doctor office, ate, HL0bby to treat DD14 for being brave and Sam's pharmacy to pick up 90 day supply of all 6 of DH meds. I am thankful for our pharmacist that takes such diligent care of tracking & refilling DH meds to ensure we have the least number of trips possible.

I need to update the status of these meds in the SHE cards and then get back on track with normal daily doings.

yay on groceries
d cathy

d lady
wow on all your errands out and all the driving! I am so happy you have a good pharmacist - it helps so much!!!

yes d lauralind - you are very busy!

pedicure sounds lovely d twins!

we have thunder and I usually stay inside with thunder - we knew a 26 year old young man who died by a lightening strike when he was getting kiddos off the soccer field. only thunder before hand. I was taught to be very careful with lightening. the town we lived in put lightening towers in right after that. (our town has them)

the rain is supposed to start in 40 minutes - it looks harmless outside but they are saying there may be tornados in northern Illinois

I am thinking of getting a pool pass - not sure yet - I would rather go to the beach but it's an hour away.

Re Dishes'
I keep dishes in a dish pan in the sink that needs washed, some time in the sink not on the counter that helps.
I try to do em aver meals or at least once a day that also helps.
I did only have a couple things but it was time to clean sinks so I did them & then the sinks.
Should have waited till after I'd eaten my lunch.

After I sat out side a bit for a reward after mowing.
Also should have eaten out side just for fun!
Beautiful weather here today.

It's nearly time to knit a bit.

We are having one heck of a thunderstorm. Lots of lightning too. I am watching the Blitzortung live lightning map and this storm stretches from Lansing/Flint Mich. straight across to lake Ontario, which is less than a mile straight north of where I am. (My street goes all the wat to the lake, but all the land is owned by the home owners, so no access to the water for us.)

I changed sheets on the bed, vacuumed the van and then drove to the car wash to wash the outside. On the way back we saw some friends at their new home and they waved at us to stop. They insisted we take a tour and we enjoyed ever moment of it. She is a master quilter and has a room set up for that....ohhh my. Surrounded by quilts in progress and finished. It was dreamy.

I have given the teens instructions on things to get done. Other than monitoring & mentoring them, I am going to relax.

I just looked at the receipt for DH prescription meds today. WOW.
$4490.77 total cost
$4367.92 paid by insurance
$122.85 our cost.
Multiple those numbers by 4 and that is the yearly cost for DH meds. I don't stay up-to-date with political maneuvers but heard some effort is attempting to make a change to prescription cost. I hope so.

I just had my first BLT sandwich of the year using fresh garden tomatoes. This is always something I look forward to each year.
