Wow, LAnn, you’ve already watched a whole movie and I’m still trying to get warmed up lol. I’ll keep it on my radar when it comes to tv/cable/app/whatever/too many choices lol.

Beau and I just walked to the yard to feed Tom and walk back, it’s a lot warmer than yesterday, I’m sweating. Did fill the bird feeders too so we will have something to watch this afternoon. Somehow they know when there is food. Must send a scout. Picked up feathers to save, I hope he’s molting and something isn’t plucking him for dinner. Walked Beau inside his yard to leave a scent and scare off any would be munchers.

Got navy beans soaking for supper. I’m thinking beans, cornbread, maybe some sausage for flavor, with a cold glass of milk will be a good old timey, tummy filling meal.

Cleaned the floors. Cats have been busy.

Next is dust and vacuum.

I got Germane out for her walk before the forecast rain. I wanted to take her to the park but was shoulding myself that the laundry room on my floor was free (checked it on the way out ) so I should hurry through the walk and get laundry started. Then I thought, "What's the point of being retired if you can't walk through the park on a perfect summer day when the heat has broken and there's no smoke in the air?" So I carried her to the park and we had a lovely stroll before coming back to do laundry.

I'm tired, my foot is achey. I have new Internet company installing at mother's house. The window I was to allow was 10 a.m. to noon. He showed up at 1245, to start. It's now almost 3pm, and far from finished.
The good news is that the guy I hired to fix up a small area of mother's yard has been here and has done a fabulous job! Just what I expected! I am happy that something has gone right!
Gotta go - installer needs my input.

Supper sounds good, Bama. tossed rice vermicelli in pesto and am having it with chopped tomatoes and avocado. It's worked out well.

Kudos to your hard guy, gma, and a big boo to the install company. I’ve been waiting all day for our riding mower to be delivered. They said it was ready yesterday and would be delivered today. Dh had bent a blade on a stump and couldn’t get the blades off bc the company put them on too tight (with an electric tool, we can’t compete with that kind of strength). Now that I think about it, they may plan on dropping it off on their way home from work. Dh is calling to check. Our grass is about a foot high in just the time the mower has been gone, maybe a week at most, so it is needed.

Doggedly, I agree with the decision to walk. The laundry will never go away. A stroll through the park with Germane sounds perfect. Way to get those veggies in! Thank you for the kind words.

LOL Bama! There will be no dresses or tea cakes tonight - or probably any cakes at all. I'm not planning on making a dessert; I don't need one. There will probably be a lot of chatter and laughter though, knowing us. And possibly wine and port. Most of the guests are like family, so no need to stress over cleaning. And since dh is the main chef, I also don't need to stress over cooking! --I don't think I've ever cooked navy beans! Your meal sounds like delicious comfort food. Roasted okra!

I have not heard of Wild Robot, L Ann. I have some interest in Superman and another action movie, which I've now forgotten. Asian friends (and our dds) like the Netflix film, K Pop Demon Hunters. I actually want to see that! LOL!

At this point, I don't think I'm going to get in significant exercise today. It felt like everyone decided to communicate about everything with me today - the insurance company re: house insurance, JY - haircut appt. (my initiation), R and L - symphony concert and dinner out, dbro, ddil F, S and J re: travels, of course lots of payroll communication with many people. I'm looking at more communication tonight during dinner. I hope I will do well and not fall apart. I still have not started packing; that will probably happen after guests leave.

I worked on payroll for about 5.5 hours today, not that much but much more than I'm used to.

S is now picking me up at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow. That's awfully early for a 10:15 flight. I plan to take my bag carry on. BUT I'm part of a group so that's what I'll do.

1. Go for a short jog - I may not jog again for a few days while in Maine. - DID NOT HAPPEN. It's OK - I don't usually jog 2 days in a row.
2. Put together my syllabus.
3. Make sub plans.
4. Make my Telegram Group.
5. 1-3 Prof Dev meetings
6. WF - pick up the items I didn't get yesterday.
7. Fold and p/a the darks sitting in the dryer that I forgot about yesterday - wip
