Five by Five Friday PWYC

Do you follow the advice : "Write down 5 things you want to get done by five o'clock." ?

Pam and Peggy gave that advice, and they preceded it with another idea ... .. to "Write down 5 things that are bothering you."

That's a good jumping-off point, mentally, to come up with specific priorities for a given day.
And whatever's bugging you - that gives a good idea of things you should handle soon.

They also gave the advice to save the cards (or whatever you used) as reminders to keep track of how many things you actually accomplished.

By the way, I think that second idea takes TIME. You couldn't do that in a quick decision about a post, so please don't think I can come up with 5 quickly or believe anyone else could! But I'm going to think about it through the day.

A little simpler, a 5 x 5 today:
Weed the front flower beds, one way or another!
Finish spiffing the master bathroom
Start on the small bathroom
Sew something else (yesterday made me happy)
More declutter and remember to post about it in Decluttered Home

Our list tells us that today is the InCanada's ds' birthday.

Oh -- and pastor texted me to see if I would teach the Wednesday night adult class again. I told her if they could put up with me, I would lead the discussion -- didn't know if I would call it "teaching" or not, LOL.

lucylee, I'm just so pleased for you that you are able to do this. Several things about it just warm my heart.

Five things? I bet I can do that.

Lucylee, no houseguests here, just a dh who needs his people/socialization. He's at Rotary this morning.

Harriet, thank you for starting us with something new today!

-CPAP - call and pick up supplies
-straighten up/clean up for dcleaning lady
-another round of brisket braising
-go to Lowes for clay pots and perhaps refreshed plants?
-Move upstairs bookcase into position and start filling

I also have the long-awaited meeting at the temple this afternoon at two. I'll do the errands while out.

Hi!

I did the "worst" first, sort of. We have had an anniversary card on the fridge for our neighbours who are celebrating their 50th anniversary tomorrow. I took the card over earlier today, so that's DONE! Yay!

I've also had my vitamins, that's a good thing as I fell off that wagon earlier this week.

Dh's BFF is coming over at "around" 10. Litter boxes got cleaned last night and I sprayed air freshener in the hallway this morning.

We are having "leftover" Costco chicken for supper along with 2 cold salads I haven't made yet. I am going to go deal with those now. That should get me to "five" and it's way before 5.

Later...

Both cold salads are made. Dh's BFF is here. Thankfully they are out in the garage. I've unloaded the dishwasher and started refilling it.

Love the pie auction and fair LadyM!

-CPAP - call and pick up supplies
-straighten up/clean up for dcleaning lady
-another round of brisket braising
-go to Lowes for clay pots and perhaps refreshed plants?
-Move upstairs bookcase into position and start filling

Dh has sliced the brisket I made two days ago and we got it into the freezer. Gonna need to do some juggling for freezer space with the next one. Dcleaning lady should be here in about 20 minutes...I'm going to head upstairs for a bit. Need to call about CPAP stuff and then go upstairs.

The place where I get the CPAP stuff still doesn't have everything. I think I may need to change. There was only the one guy there when I went last week and it looked like a tornado had hit - he said one gal had quit and Res-med had refused to ship to them without a big payment. I think they're having issues.

Home from Friday afternoon stitching group. Crocheters, cross stitchers and knitters. We were all talking about weekend plans, etc. I realized I have nowhere to go and nothing that really needs my attention for the next 3 or 4 days. Yay!!

We are having a cold supper in 30 minutes or so.
