Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
I have TOTALLY lost my voice. I can speak in a croaking whisper. That is all. So far, I am spending the day in bed. Just resting and reading. Cough is not terrible and I don’t think I have fever, but my throat is very sore. Lots of sinus congestion and drainage. Dsisil said to expect it to last about 5 days.
Tomorrow is another day.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
Hello!
My ta-das thus far today:
• DC to/from school
• air in tires
• trip to bakery
• dry wash folded
• new load in washer
Now I'm listening to my Guardians, who have tied Detroit 1-1. Can't watch -- it's on ESPN, which we don't have. Listening via app on my phone -- I've been getting loads of interference on the radio today on all stations. Don't know what's going on in the atmosphere. Maybe we'll get the Northern Lights?
My tires are more than a seasonal task, Nancy. I don't know if my rims are bad or if the place we get our tires is bad at installation, but my front tires leak any time there's a temperature change, even after getting new tires this spring.
I've got book club tonight. When a book club member is hosting that month's girls' night, we just get there a little early and meet before girls' night, but this month was hosted by one of the others, in which case we meet over a casual dinner. I need to figure out what DH and the kids should have -- he's got Scouts tonight because the church is using the hall for something else tomorrow.

Good news:
I got the desk 75%-80% done now I think yea!
It feels way less wobbly.
Taking a breather.
I still have parts for it so I need to figure out where those go & the backs of the shelf's to put on.
I think I need to nail on the bottom shelves and need the steps stool b/c me not being very tall.
Also on one of my walks remembered a shelf in the shed that will go with this for what ever yea!
Gotta luv shop at home.
Hugs to all going through challenges and or feeling under that weather.
Had my lunch 1/4th of a foot long and two garden tomatoes.
A funny realized I had my tee shirt on backwards pocket in the back! LOL!!!
Luckily I had on a hoodie over it on my errands and a vest on for our walk.
Got my desk done!
-------
Bulk Cooking Card is up today.
Prepped the meat ball & meat loafs for meals ahead and they are in the oven now yea!
Muffin tin meat balls turned out fantastic!
The rest is done and it's bagged up and cooling now before I freeze it up.

WTG on the desk, Nancy.
Mystery, you've had a productive day! I am still startled when I see "Guardians" but I'm good.
Lucylee, so very sorry you are ill! The pharmacist that gave me my vaccinations the other day said flu isn't going around yet here, but COVID is.
Cathy, I find that putting antibiotic ointment and a band aid over a splinter leaves it soft enough to be removed in the a.m. Don't know if that will help you...
WTG with your walking RR! I bet Coco appreciates your care and it's nice she plays with Sweetie. Good for both of them!
Wondering how the day went bw2 and holding my breath for you.
Yes Harriet, lol!
Some ta das:
-Some good research and writing it all down in Word document getting longer by the day
-teeth cleaned. Good enough dental report
-shopped at JJill - bought a pair of fall jeans and a shirt suitable for perhaps temple or more formal occasions. I'm wearing a smaller size than I did the last few years so it's nice to have something new
-walked through Home Goods for things I didn't know I need
-Came home, way too much traffic. One of the outgoing routes from downtown was apparently closed so traffic was horrible
-walked dog and ate

We will be fasting from sundown tomorrow (actually, from when we finish our meal tomorrow p.m.) to 5:30 or 6 on Thursday. It is a choice, and for dh, who is diabetic it's especially not expected. I suspect he will try to do so anyway. Based on how hungry I was after my outing today, I'm not sure I'll be able to...but we'll see.will be a lot on your plate (well, no ... ..smile... .. a lot ON and a lot OFF your plate?)

Sorta holding my breath for blessed, too. Hoping the household stays calm. Hoping blessed's dmother and ddyounger are both feeling okay.
blessed, take photos when your dmother is outdoors or enjoying some alert time. Do you ever send texts or messages to your uncle, for instance - you could send him a photo of when she is enjoying the girls, weather, dogs, etc., even when he may have happened to visit only when she was asleep. That would let him feel a part of things, that he is keeping up with what's going on in her life.
Enjoy your book club and dinner out, Mystery.
((lucylee)) Get some rest.
HRH and I have been on opposite patterns today. Not ready to eat at the same time or the same foods, etc.
Maybe that's part of the reason I have sewn so much today. (Also, it just makes me happy, I guess.)
Ds called after a golf game of dgs. His ball game tonight was on a field still too waterlogged, so there was no conflict this time. I'm sure it won't always work out so well. Ds talked to me while doing the grocery shopping, lol.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
Sitting here listening to some Youtube after hearing some really diverse music on FBook reels.
On FBook, I heard Rolling Stones, Donny Osmond, Dean Martin, Pavarotti and Willie Nelson. Now I'm listening to Dwight Yoakam singing a Beach Boys song on YT. How's that for diverse.
Question... I know Dwight Yoakam is country, but is he singing a particular type of country? I can't find it right now, but I think it's called Bakersfield Sound or something.

Yes, I’d put Dwight Yokum in the Bakersfield branch of country. A lot of country singers went out to California in the 50s and developed kinda a distinct sound. Google it — probably will bring up other names you might recognize.
Tomorrow is another day.

I was sooo crazy about Donnie Osmond back in the day.
I have finished one book and read another entire book today. The Housemaid’s Secret.

LucyLee, I wasn't really a D. Osmond fan (although I did like some of the music,) but I was really a David Cassidy girl with his poster on my bedroom wall!
