Nodding my head in understanding. I deliver DH’s meds to him twice a day. The morning meds come with a small jar of nuts and dried fruit that he likes, so he has something on his stomach when taking his morning meds. Without food, the meds don’t stay down.He stopped taking his meds about a month ago
All the OTC pain meds in the house (Tylenol, Advil, etc.) have been moved to a spot he doesn’t know about. I had to do this to monitor how many he takes and how often. He couldn’t remember taking OTC pain meds just half an hour ago and would take more.
It’s interesting how this feels like normal life now. We just keep making small adjustments to keep DH safe.
DGS28 told me yesterday that it's like I have another kid to take care of. Yes and no. When DGS28 said this, he had just watched DH mistakenly enter a women's bathroom, and I quickly redirected him to the men's bathroom. DH does need to be monitored similarly to a child, but he doesn't require training like a child does. DH receives a level of respect and admiration that a child doesn't. I'm not sure if that fully explains what I'm trying to say, but DH is my husband and remains the head of our home.
After agreeing upon a time, then DD49 baled on DD14 hair washing a bath today. This happens about half the time so it isn't a suprise.
I spent some time in the kitchen making breakfast for my family, which was relatively quick—biscuits, hash browns, hot links, and bacon. Then I started on a big pot of hash, which took about an hour to chop up the meat and vegetables. It has been simmering for over an hour now and smells incredible.
