LadyM check out Blessed's post from 12:12 today. I think she came in first. She's west of me, but our snow is coming in from the east.
Dh made popcorn, so we sat together on the couch/sofa/whatever you call it... and dh decided to add another log to the fire. Because he's watching the Bill's game, I need to go in and do some stitching. A friend from the Monday morning group is a Buffalo "fan" and will sit and crochet while the game is on. I want to move my hoop, so I need to put in less than 100 stitches so I can finish the area I'm working on. There are less than 1200 stitches left to finish this project. No blended colours and no backstitching, which is nice for a change. My last 2 projects had blended colours and backstitching.

I have soup I can have sounds good for lunch and some yummy butternut squash from the
last baking Day to use up. I have some chicken and part of a sub way so I have plenty of
foods to choose from for today. Yea the rest I'll freeze up.

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
took all the stuff out of the crawlspace and I can not find our lights at all. I am assuming that someone thought that they were garbage bags and tossed them. They definitely are not in the garage. dd younger thinks dh - in his focus - just tossed them - she did look in the garage attack but nothing. I assumed so bc I never use that attack bc of the heat that happens in summer.
had to buy new 3m light holders - I thought it was better to buy them online rather than try to find them in stores. bummer.
dd's are going to help me cook wedding soup.

Yes, so exciting for our northern SHEs to have snow! Our temp is dropping, now at 53, to go down to 30 or so tonight. We were a little more than seventy and sunny yesterday. And we have a chance of snow flurries overnight - probably not at our house but on mtns.
I've updating research reports, adding citations and adding info that I've found but not documented well. On downstairs laptop, with only laptop monitor. I'm roughing it, honestly.
OH NO, bw2!
Nancy, it sounds like a good day for baking. We like butternut squash also. We're having lamb chops, butternut squash, and green salad for our supper.

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
DS17 agreed to take DD14 to the city. I volunteered to pay for gas in his vehicle and his haircut that will happen while he is waiting for DD14.
I asked DS17 if he would pick up a couple of items from Sam's, and he agreed. I sent him pictures and descriptions of the two items I needed. DS17 had to stop by DFriend's house, go to work for a bit, and pick up GF before heading out. While he was doing all that, I thought of a few more things I needed, so I texted him pictures and descriptions of those as well. He just called and said, "What happened to only needing a couple of items? I have limited space for all this stuff." That made me laugh—he drives a full-size double cab pickup! There will be 4 people in pickup but there is still a pickup bed available to haul things. There's no way he doesn’t have enough space! My rural area doesn't have Instacart delivery, but I do have a teenage driver. Win!

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
hi d twins!
I am frustrated bc I know I had 2 large black bags of lights and 3m sticky things - all gone. including our christmas tree lights!
53 is a nice temp!!! get cozy tonight with that cold temps tonight!
yay on your updating!
enjoy your afternoon - I find when I have people it's hard to work on things -
hi d Nancy
enjoy those pumpkin seeds!
so nice to go for a walk with all those crunchy leaves - My mom used to have a party for her friends during November - fire place, mom's special cooking, etc. - first they would go for a long walk in the woods and come back ready for a nice fire and conversation.
enjoy your afternoon as well!
hi d cathy! yay on snow! I don't know who got it first - I woke up to snow this morning and it was pretty to see!
making popcorn and sitting together watching a football game - fun! enjoy your stitching!
hi d lady
stay cozy yourself tonight!
hi d harriet - sorry your screen was so grainy and that the audio was funky! hope your dd comes today!
that's as far as I can go back.
but if I missed you - hello!!!!
time for me to do a put away - room by room - I don't want to "work" today as it is Sunday but I also don't want to wake up to stuff left out.

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
Dh turned off the football I think. He's flipping between a sports channel and a reality type show where people get pulled over by police and most of them get arrested for possession of something. Lots of swearing that gets bleeped out, but dh likes those types of things. Oh, well...
I got a bit bored, so I grabbed all the decorative glass vases that are on top of the 5 bookshelves that are under our big bedroom window. I put everything that fit into the dishwasher and hand washed the really big pieces and 2 small crystal (?) antique looking vases. I also dusted the top of the bookcases. Yikes. I have a plan for decorating that area for Christmas, so I wanted to get those pieces washed before that. So now that's done! YAY!!
I also made a hot chocolate. It's still snowing, so it looks like I'll need to brush my car off in the morning. Dh offered to put it in the garage, but I don't want to go out in the cold and snow.

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
hello again - dd is making strawberry syrup
mom watched Rudolph the red nose reindeer on my computer - the whole thing!
she didn't like lunch but she ate 1/3 of an onion soup/bread/parm blended and today so far 1-1/2 containers of boost. I don't know why but yesterday she slept all day and today she is weak - not like she was all week. She was great most of the week.
turned dw on
cleaned counters, stove top, microwave front and I still have to sparkle the sink.
pulled a recipe for dd younger and I want to make this week - try our hand at a sponge.
well done d cathy on pulling those vases and dusting the top of the book cases yay yay yay
happy snow day!

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
Dd27 texted that she and dsonil would both be able to visit.
I did a declutter of one area I've been eyeing in the den. All better.
Swept den with push carpet sweeper (HRH still worried about vacuum for me, although I think dr would allow).
continuing this round of houseplant care, just two more
Dd and I hung out in the living room and dsonil and HRH went to HRH's study. A lot to talk about for dd and me. Things don't look good for family get-together. She had a lot to tell about work. For some unknown reason, we all got into old photos and there were even some dd hadn't seen.
Dsonil volunteered to help out on leaves/gutters. This could really be a win, because in addition to the hard work of not even climbing but holding one of those blower contraptions in the air for so long to clear gutters, HRH really doesn't need to have leaves falling, dust etc., around his eyes.
((blessed)), I wish that somehow you could just stumble upon those bags and be so surprised and laugh... ..
Like blessed, I've got a problem with Christmas decor. My tree is locked in the storage building, which is not supposed to be locked in the first place but somehow got that way. We can't find a key. HRH is considering purchasing a kit for mimicking a key and opening a lock - supposedly sold lots of places? Dsonil agrees that this is true. Hmmm ... .. Door is... wait for it... .. steel. Yes, on a little storage building, while the doors for the house are wood.
Food today on the temporary low-fiber diet has been just nuts. If it seems like the wrong thing, I can eat it. Bizarro world.
