Friday - November 14, 2025 PWYC There is power in our work

Post by blessedw2 »

There is power in our work. I think as homemakers we tend to forget that even the smallest acts we do in our homes and for our families give great joy to the world. Our work, our love for our families, our love for our neighbors and world have a huge impact.

“The humblest tasks get beautified if loving hands do them.”
—Louisa May Alcott

“The power of finding beauty in the humblest things makes home happy and life lovely.
—Louisa May Alcott⁣

Today appreciate what you do - you make a difference in every moment.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“It belittles us to think of our daily tasks as small things, and if we continue to do so, it will in time make us small. It will narrow our horizon and make of our work just drudgery. There are so many little things that are really very great, and when we learn to look beyond the insignificant-appearing acts themselves to their far-reaching consequences, we will ‘despise not the day of small things.’ We will feel an added dignity and poise from the fact that our everyday round of duties is as important as any other part of the work of the world.⁣

” —Laura Ingalls Wilder⁣

“Home is the nicest word there is.” —Laura Ingalls Wilder

“So much depends upon the homemakers. I sometimes wonder if they are so busy now with other things that they are forgetting the importance of this special work.” —Laura Ingalls Wilder

I have Covid for the second time…much different from the first. Sweetie never showed any symptoms before and none now

Told the Dr this and she said he must have a very strong immune system. Asked me if I had been offered the prescription meds for Covid the first time I was there and I said no.

Good she said because she wouldn’t take it either. Thought that was a strange reply.

Can’t take anything different than what I already doing. Drink plenty of water and rest

Since my symptom started las Saturday she told me I would be contagious after this Sunday.

Happy Anniversary Harriet & HRH! Enjoy your day for multiple reasons.:)

((((RR))))

This is my 2nd day of having a mild headache and low energy. So unusual for me. Last night I slept 9.5 hours. These clues tell me that my body is fighting off something. Thankfully I can keep doing my normal things while I am waiting for it to pass. I have no plan B for monitoring DH.

Woo hoo!! I am finished the 11,000 stitches on "Sunset Bay". cross stitch! It's been ironed and it's ready for framing. I might take it in next week, but no huge rush.

Bow I have to finish "Mason Jar Lineup" and there are only 2 jars to finish, plus their flowers. Each of the 12 "Mason" jars have flowers and greenery in them. You could probably goo gle both of these cross stitch pieces and find pictures. I don't know how to link to them, or I would do it and post it in the a&c thread.

So happy to be done with this particular piece. Dh loves it.
