I got my notes off notion for my goals
and have them on note sheets to enter in later
like in the morning or when ever I get the next segment of time.

I"m excited to do it as I have a fun new comp. notebook with cherries on the front of it!

I am jumping in! Y'all may think I am crazy, but I have been spending some time with ChatGPT, and last night he/it gave me some suggestions re: how to get my day started a little better, and feel better about myself. I'll share those thoughts later -- I want to type some things up to remember.

DGD woke me up around 9:00 a.m. and we went out for breakfast. Post office... poster is still a no-show.
As soon as we ate, she was ready to go home. She is so excited about going bowling and eating at one of her favorite places today. She told me last night that she couldn't sleep because she was so excited. I love to see her like this.

Since taking her home I have --
* made out Wmart order (have to pick it up in an hour or so)
* paid a bill (that I will mail when I go to Wmart)
* wrote out a receipt for the renter (will drop that off at his house)
* made out deposit slip (will stop at the bank)
* folded the towels and underwear, put away
* talked to dmom
* took most of the flat stuff off the Christmas tree
(and decided I need to put away the misc that goes in boxes before I really start on the tree, I don't want boxes EVERYWHERE.)
* straightened out the bed (after dgd has slept in it, it looks like a bunch of wild beasts had a fight overnight)
* did my "morning" stretches
* s2s -- still need to put on some make-up
* done Bible reading and prayer time -- I am feeling especially thankful today, for lots of things
(nothing unusual going on, just counting my blessings)
I could use a More Time Old People calendar with more stickers for doctors’ appointments!
That is true, Mystery!!!

(((Twins))) I hope you get some relief soon. I think my friend with that condition finally had surgery. I haven't really heard from her as to how successful and whether she would recommend it or not.

I'm horrible with follow-through also. I even have trouble keeping up with my own checklists! I have a sheet on Excel that covers my day, and I can use it for a month, using different colored ink for each week... and it makes me feel so good to see a bunch of check marks... and I STILL can't keep up with it!!!
I write in my Grief SHare journal when I'm having a rough day. I should really try to write in it when I'm having a GOOD day.
However, according to ChatGPT, it is no surprise that I'm still having rough days and that I am tired a lot of the time.

I also want to plant some flowers this year -- I've had some seed for a long while, and it may be no good by now, but I'd like to put some flowers in pots on the porch and/or patio. Seed came in the mail, just a variety of flowers -- marigolds, daisies, etc.

WTG, Cathy!

(((Rose)))

:?: Do I have to start plants indoors? Can I just plant them outside when the weather warms up?

Waving good morning to all -- I mean, good afternoon!

OH -- Harriet -- did your ddolder watch the Georgia/Ole Miss game? I'm not too concerned with either team, but the last 30 seconds were
 WOW  Really, the last SECOND. Not as exciting as the Kick Six second we had some years ago against Alabama, but still -- WOW.
I must tell my dmom to look for that to be re-broadcast. And I was happy that * spoiler alert * Ole Miss won. They've been through a lot with the coaching situation and everything, plus I'm sure they were the underdogs against Georgia. In fact, I would bet that most of our SEC She's were happy to see Georgia get beat, LOL. They are probably almost as hated as Alabama. (Except IN the state of Alabama, the Crimson Tide is usually cited as the most hated team in the nation, LOL.)
Tomorrow is another day.

Twins', good job on the pain meds when needed. If at all possible, I hope you can stay ahead of the pain, in a VERY brief bout with this.

lucylee, I don't know but will say words to her next time we chat that will resemble knowing what I'm talking about!

Mystery, the card file work is usually worth it. Glad you've found time. Btw, I'll have to share that idea for a planner with HRH! I don't think it's the year to press my luck on working with soil yet, no. The idea was in the next growing season, so we'll see.

Ramblin', I wouldn't be surprised if the wonky bp means very little.

Cathy, I bet it smelled nice for company in your house. I noticed Glad trash bags now available in an assortment of scents, and was a little interested in the one with an ocean/fresh air (?) smell. Just can't compete with the store brands for price, though. Also, they're in colors, so... .. let's not call attention to the garbage, I guess.

On this home front, a detour  trying to get in my way! (But maybe someone else wants to know this?)
Snap fish has a deal for 48 hours on their 4x6 photo prints at 2 cents each.
I'd truly love to, but it's time consuming to do as much as I'd really like and I've promised myself to use my time differently right now.

I will say that, going back through the old ones already saved there, I found a photo of the stolen quilt (dsonil's reinactment quilt I made for him was stolen from a venue where his db displayed it a year or two back). That was reassuring. I thought I only had the one at the sewing machine being quilted, but this is hanging, so the whole quilt can be seen. A little fuzzy, but it made me smile not to have lost that image.

hello again - busy morning with cooking and mom stuff
I made a roast chicken for tonight - I will make the sauce in a minute
emptied dw and refilled and turned on
new helper this afternoon put a load of laundry on for mom
made minestrone soup - froze 3 quart soups -
I will make an apple tart for mom
helper that the company said wasn't coming - came - they were wrong - not normal girl handling the office - it happens.
I thought that I was going to be alone with mom which I could do bc she has been stronger but glad I have this young lady.
I kept mom busy this morning with reading the French 1940/early 50's comic book of Pecos Bill. Translating it with her. I think she needs it.
we watched her Alsatian news and a couple French cooking shows from her area.

watching a canning video - my one goal this year is to immerse myself in making and canning broths. I have never made a good beef stock and I really want to get that under my belt. Anyone have a good beef stock or broth recipe?

This kind of pain is hit and run. Haven't had it since this a.m. It's just that I never know if it's going to hit me when I bite into something.

I'm regretting it, but I said okay to going out tonight. Friends, but she drives me crazy with her endless chatter. And we've turned down several invitations to go out to dinner with them so dh feels we should go. So we're going. As I said I feel coerced but I did agree to go. He and dh always want to continue the evening at their house, which is close, and when I get there I get her chatter nonstop while the two dhs talk.

I have done all the invoices, so I'm waiting for the gal who does the website now. Since I didn't get into to her until yesterday, I need to wait a bit before I go back to her. I did the online deposit thing for the two checks I have already and recorded those, and ordered a stamp to do the check endorsements. I have meant to for the last two years, but it felt like it was too late to get it in time by the time I had a bunch of checks to endorse and deposit.

So I've gone as far as I can with that.

I’m late getting here today because DGS28 has been by my side for the last 6 hours. Whenever I go to another location (room or outside), he follows me. I have to announce that I’m going to the bathroom so he won’t trail along! I really do love that guy, but I need some space and a break from his nonstop talking. (((Twins))) I do understand how exhausting it can be to listen to people for hours that love to hear themselves talk.

After DS17 got off work he volunteered to take DH to visit some old friends that live an hour away. I would have loved to go with them but with DGS28 here it wasn't an option. I would have loved to have some time off from monitoring DH constantly but with DGS28 here talking non stop it wasn't an option. Ohs well. DGS28 did tell me a phrase I hadn't heard before, I forgot exactly how it goes but something along the line of "communication involves inconvenience ".

Got called away by a delivery.

blessed, I'm sorta supposed to wait on dr to have an opinion about getting my hands in dirt, yes.

lucylee, you mentioned marigolds - their seeds can be planted either indoors or outdoors. If the packet is old, hhmmmm.... you could try a few indoors to find out in advance whether there is still good germination? Actually, thanks for saying "marigolds" because when dd27 took me to the garden center for fun, we saw a variety of the tall Marigolds and it reminded me that I once considered them for a bright yellow against my brick and might want to try in the coming year. I don't know how in the world they were able to have those blooming so late, but then, they are pros, of course. I almost didn't know what the flower was, because I was thinking it must be some special perennial.

Some decluttering in bedroom has meant one large storage box is empty.

Twins', you could start talking first? (smile) or, consider telling her truthfully that you aren't feeling so great. Maybe she would be a little more interested in your needs and your thoughts.
