Back again - this week's Poirot has just finished. (Murder on the Orient Express) I've watched this David Suchet version (IMHO he's *the* Poirot) but this time I noticed a small but significant feature I'd never noticed before!

I hope you have a good phone visit with your DBro, Dogged.

Have a nice time with DH at the coffee shop, Helia!

Are you walking inside today, L.Ann?

Trissie, I discovered years ago that if I make am "appointment" with myself to do something for *me* (and honour it just as I would another appointment) then it's easier to actually do these things. (It doesn't always work, as life happens, but, for me, it's better than not achieving anything!)

FFB, yes, I make my own profiteroles, choux pastry is quite straightforward, and over the years I've learnt that I get the best results when using extra strong bread flour ( the extra gluten really helps) and using my hand mixer to beat the mixture to encourage more air, so the profiteroles rise in the oven nicely. When they're cool I ice them with coffee glacé icing, and when we're ready to eat them I fill them with slightly sweetened whipped cream.

I need to post my list for the week, so I start Monday morning a bit better prepared!

Doggedly, as far as I'm aware, the Lyme disease is gone from my body. . .
WTG with the lists to prep for the week, Kitty.
Exercise is a "todo" for me too, FFB. That's a nice idea to have a list handy for "me time". I've been purposefully spending more time reading this year, and I'm enjoying it! Usually, it's no more than a 20 minute time slot, but it's still something, and I'm slowly making progress in my book.
Nice idea to add protein, trissie. I suppose the chicken soup is for another day.
WTG on washing windows, L Ann. Inside only?

I walked the usual loop I walk in my neighborhood. It's only a 25 minute walk. I enjoyed the sunshine and the birds. I saw and heard a group of nuthatches "beeping" at each other and a woodpecker pecking on a tree. It may have been a hairy woodpecker.

I'm at a coffee shop with dh now. Next will be payroll - editing BRE answer key to match the edits to the exam. Then, I'll spend some time writing, which I haven't gotten to this weekend at all.

M is cooking dinner for 8 of us! That's very generous of her. She's making a red wine beef stew. I'll make some rice and heat up some bread to go with it.

Next:
- payroll: edits to BR Exam Answer Key
- writing time
- new lists for the month and week

Later:
- make the bed
- back exercises
- NY cards progress
- payroll: edits to BR Exam Answer Key
- writing time
- new lists for the month and week
- make sure bathroom is OK
- 6 - ? host dinner for up to 8 people: M is making a beef stew, rice, bread, cheese
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- read for fun

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - very very high after a disciplined day of eating and exercise. :?
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- reclaimed kitchen
- scheduled out day
- s2s and self care
- church - left late; out 9:55 - 12:30
- lunch
- kitchen clean up again
- rescheduled out day
- walked in neighborhood; trying hiking boots to see if they're OK on my feet (looking toward hiking trips this summer)
- gathered stuff and am at coffee shop

Kittykatt - your lists are overwhelming to me:)
trissie I guess I have to rise to the occasion in my immediate family... ( I can "hear" DH saying, I have no idea how to do it  - it seems to work for everything)
helia smart doctor - lucky!
Dogged I'll go with that... Hope you had a nice chat with DB.
LAnn that menu list has given me ideas in the past:) It's a good thing.
FFly a dfriend always said to me, "everything in rotation". YOu will find the time... For crochet, a more achievable project like a hat or scarf might work. If you don't mind the assembly, you can always make squares..
At the time, I was super busy with family plus, taking care of dmom full time, I would sit down at night, in front of the TV and work just one or two rows of crochet. That was how I made dmom's b-day present: a shawl. Hope that is helpful.

Just back from a book store walk and a REAL park walk. We had to keep the latter to 15 minutes as the -5 C was not as balmy as it seemed from the car:) but still! It's a start.

DGkids are here so I'd better go.
see you all later:)

I'll just stope by for a quick, hello, I'm back from my Florida vacation. My cousins were the most amazing hosts. We did so much, I need to rest from my vacation. They pampered me, I did rent a car and did some driving, but not much. It was horrible to drive in a place where I did not know the roads, had no concept of direction (hooray for GPS and smart phone directions! ) and traffic was more than I have ever experienced. 4 lanes each direction, and a toll road of 2 more lanes each direction, making a total of 12 lanes! Whew was I ever happy to get back to my home town for driving purposes at least!
I woke up this morning to new snow to shovel, but none had fallen while I was gone (yes, it can be too cold to snow). Although the weather was cool for Floridians, it was 50 to 100 degrees warmer than what I had left. Only one day felt like summer, but the rest were OK for a sweater or sweatshirt (no long underwear, gloves, hat, heavy jacket). The flight south was first delayed, then delayed 3 more times, then cancelled and rescheduled for the next late morning. The flight home was delayed 3 hours, so I was lucky to get home on the last shuttle bus of the day.
Tomorrow I can tell you more, but I have a suitcase to unpack, and need to get to bed.
