Morning all. Yikes Bama that's scary for you and your dd. Glad she is ok.

Gma I hope your friend is ok. She's in the right spot being monitored. You are so good to her.

That was a busy day helian. Maybe your trainer if you still go can help with exercises for your foot now you know what it is. Sounds painful but you can maybe do something to help. Have a great lunch with your friends.

Well interesting.... apparently ds is really liking German.. he says a little work on pronunciation but it seems logical unlike English.. how does one learn English as a second language? It's so complicated. His teacher is our French and language teacher. He liked her for English last year but her actual first language is German. So that is cool. He has the higher end science teacher and was really looking forward to science. Socials well we'll see.

On the parents front... mom is settled in well.. good days tired days. I think she's still enjoying activities days. She's doing really well. And the nurses get all of the changing her part so much easier. Dad on the other hand not so much. He can't seem to keep his sugar stable. Understandably he doesn't stop worrying about mom even under full care. He's lonely in the house by himself and I'm more worried about him atm. One of these days it's gonna be him in er. And it seems he is struggling to understand a lot of things. Dh helped him yesterday with some very simple computer stuff. Appointments. Meds. Way too much but very carefully because he still wants to be in control. Gotta see if my sister managed to do the lawyer thing yet cause that is all still sitting on the back burner and we desperately need to downsize dad.... yesterday...

Today is off. I don't know if I'm gonna get my stuff or dad's. Since mom is in care it's been good that way. I've taken lots of me days. But I have to check on dad and hopefully he'll be OK today.

H is coming this morning for a bit. I should do whb. Some groceries. Detail cleaning a few spots. And declutter some. I've got to get my craft room ready to use my desk for painting projects and such. We'll see where I get. First off check on dad. And make sure I get things straight with my sister. She works today too so if running around is needed that should be me.

Shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some
Take sheets off bed and wash

Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way School run
Clean cat and take garbage out from everywhere
Sweep everywhere
Coffee on for visit with h
Check up on dad at some point

β˜€οΈGood morning, everyone!

Laura, that’s so good ds is enjoying his language lessons and dmom is settling in.
English can be tricky with various spellings and meanings, add slang and regional phrases for a little challenge.

Kittykatt, thanks for the start, enjoy your kitty cuddles. Thanks also for the update with Twins dpup.

Hi LAnn, sometimes leftovers are better than the original.

Helia, I didn’t realize about the dog show until I saw a clip this morning. Something fun to watch although I hear it is quite competitive behind the scenes.

Kitkat, wtg on the gym habit. I can remember the β€œold days” when you were getting started in the old forums.

(((Gma and friend))), praying all goes well with her tests and treatment.

Dogged, hoping Germane has a voracious appetite today and eats all the yummy foods.

It’s wet, rainy, and muggy here. So weird after below freezing temps for days. Thanks for thinking of dd. She’s upset and worried about dealing with the aftermath but calming down some when we spoke last night. She’s not a morning person so we haven’t touched base yet today.
It’s garbage day here so will try to get any and all trash out of the house. I need to get a box of donations gathered up too. But first, breakfast. Bbl.
β™₯ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! β™₯

Happy Wednesday!

DH will still be out of the house a lot even when he retires, won't he, kittykatt?
sending healing vibes your friend's way, gma, and lucky that it was caught while she was able to get to the hospital on her own and not collapsed somewhere outside in that cold weather you have, gma!
oooh, how fun to have a mother-daughter gym date, kitkat!

Home from work. It was not bad bad, but not good either. Still, crossed another item of my endless todos list and that's always a good one! I still have one major ugly task that I am very hesitant to start on (due Feb 19), so I have been making tremendous progress on just about everything else :-)
Need to make progress on home front today, because that hasn't been happening this week :-(

Thanks for the update, Kittykatt - hopefully, the surgery works for the doggie.
Bama I remember our humble beginnings, too:) You were such a good sport!
helia sorry about the foot issues. They affect our whole body - take care of them. (I've been struggling for 7 years...)
trissie I give my DD full credit for my gym outings. Without her encouragement, I would not be doing it.
LAnn reading anything good?
Lauralind glad it's working out for Ds

I'm back,
ate (a lot!)

Will take pup
get gas,
drive somewhere to walk,

Good morning, all. (Still morning where I am, which I count as a win.)

Kittykatt, thank you for starting us off, and for the cute weasel. Does anyone else here remember when Smile*Lee had a fish pond and a weasel started feeding from her pond? She was so frustrated with it and at the start was looking for way to encourage it to move alone, but we were all so much more enthusiastic about the weasel than the fish. We even started calling it dweasel, and thanking her for feeding it. By the time that we were done, I think that she had accepted that her life was going to be a little more dweasel and a little less decorative fish, LOL.
I'm wishing you a quiet and productive Wednesday. When your dh retires, maybe his train hobby will provide you with quiet days to get on with what you need to?

(((Gma and df))) I hope that you got some good sleep after that stressful day. I hope that your df is recovering well in hospital.

kitkat, I'm glad that your dpup seems back to normal.

Looks like you have a fun day of meeting with dfs, helia. (As well as a whole lot of accomplishments.) Enjoy!

Hi, L.Ann. I did follow your good example and do a physio exercise before getting up this morning.

Gotta get this posted before it stops being morning!

helia, a retriever show is far healhier internet distraction than news!
L.Ann, I see you are keeping your Saturday free, will you be getting rest after your treatment?
lauralind, having learned English and German both as a second (well second and third) language - English is easy in the beginning, but harder as you progress. German is hard in the beginning but building upon the basics is actually easier.

And poof! Aiming for three 45 minute sessions today!

I am so ridiculous! I want to use up the stock from the cottage roll by cooking a pot of legumes etc. I just stabbed my thumb on a twist tie trying to get into the barley. Now I'm waiting for the liquid bandage to dry before I go back to it.

Go, Kittykatt! You are tearing through that list.

Lauralind, it's good to hear that your DS is enjoying German and science, and that your dmother doing so well with her care. Your dDad is lucky to have you and your dfamily to help him cope with the changes in his life and health.

Thanks, Bama. Germane's pattern seems to be that she gets hungry once or twice most days, so I can shovel food and pills into her at that time. So far so good.
I remember the first time that I had to deal with insurance. I didn't know where to start or what to expect, so I called a df who had been a home owner for a few years and she walked me through it. Your DD has gotten over the first shock of being in the accident and fortunately was not injured. As she works through the process with the insurance company, it will give her confidence in dealing with them in the future.

It sounds like the birds are really appreciating your feeders, L.Ann.

Welcome home, trissie. I'm glad that work was not too bad.
That is a great description of learning English and German.

kitkat, how wonderful to have your dd as a gym partner.

Liquid bandage is dry. Back to filling my rice cooker with interesting plants.

Tuesday
Physio exercise
Put away dry dishes
Started filling rice cooker. Found soup mix with split peas and beans. Found quinoa, barley, and of course my lifetime supply of lentils that I bought from Costco.
Stabbed myself on twist tie.
Applied liquid bandage and CUOP.
