does anyone particularly use the "subscribe" feature here (emailed notification if someone posts in a topic to which you are "subscribed") and have you noticed that it still works for you as always?
I've never used the subscribe feature on the phpbb forums.

We are home from 3 stops and all had excellent results.
** DD14 had her final physical therapy appointment and evaluation. They are not recommending any more PT appointments but gave her a stack of papers show the exercises they recommend that she continues at home.
** Tag agency to get new pickup title/taxes/tag/pikepass finalized. I'm glad to have that process finished.
** Stopped at favorite BBQ place to chat and get a platter of meat, couple of sandwiches and some Mac/cheese. The wife of the owner has just announced her candidacy for State Senate seat. He is concerned that the negative talk that comes with any public office will bother her, but he is supporting her. We are very pleased that she is willing to do this.

Now that all that running around is done, let the weekend begin!

Harriet, no I haven't used the subscribe button either.

I've eaten fruit and omelet and cleaned up kitchen counters, etc. Dishwasher is going and load of laundry going too. I'm going to make the bed and s2s next.

A very experienced teller happened to be the one to call me forward from the line. She handled the oddities well. Btw, in case anyone is wondering how she handled it, she asked me to sign the back of that check and print, "sole survivor" underneath. Actually, I find that interesting now ... .. had she looked at the account and seen that phrase? It is true of me, but might not be true of the many others who'll receive checks from this settlement for their deceased relatives. Then, for the check that had been issued to me, but in my name before my marriage (yep, this is a settlement from billing that happened long ago), she had me sign as disbursed, then do the AKA thing, then sign as normal.

I got cash as well. Sometimes a machine's dispensing of nothing but twenties is okay, but sometimes you just need a smaller bill. Honestly, I don't know that I've been inside a bank in a couple years. Just never need it. If you'd told me that when I was a young woman, I wouldn't have believed it was possible. Seemed I was forever at the bank.

At pharmacy, sure enough a script had been "put back on the shelf" because we'd been delayed by the weather. (And, in fact, pharmacy wasn't even open at all on Monday.) So, we wandered for 20 mins waiting, but couldn't find anything to interest us. I do feel like I've seen every possible Valentine's Day knick-knack and plush toy.

Thanks for feedback. Just to be sure I've explained well, subscription to email series might also be started by clicking on "notify me when a reply is posted" checkbox under the box where/when we would be posting. Just like "subscribe", I believe checking that will also cause the same emails to be sent each time there is another post to that topic. I may stand corrected - researched this some today, to be honest.

After I washed the 2 frying pans, I decided to go and read. I woke up a few moments ago.

So happy that Millie will be okay!

I've had my lunch changed my menu so I did not need to go to the market today.
Fog is above. Had stuff to attend to that I did not get to earlier in the week.
Glad for the day to get to it.
Mid day goal for 2 more chapters of quick edits, tab info & outline. X

Laundry to reboot next up.
45* outside here now, might wait a day to saw one last branch in half.

Harriet thanks for that info. on the check signing.

So happy that dMillie is coming home tonight, Twins!

And I'm happy that at least one of your regular appointments has ended, LadyM! Glad PT is over for dd!

I was d2s by 11:30 (ChatGPT's recommendation) but I did NOT get out of the house as it recommends.
HOWEVER, I'm doing pretty well... considering that I did get drawn into FB for a little while.
I conga-ed to the kitchen and laundry room, and now I have
* done daily Bible reading and the reading for church study
* Rotel dip in the crockpot and
* a load of laundry in the dryer. (Need to go check on that ASAP)
There is no party or anything -- I just have been craving Rotel dip, so I plan on that being my supper. Dgrands can snack on it till their mom comes. She said she would take some of it if I had too much.

Also talked to dfriend -- father of dfriend who abandoned us all.
I have not heard from dh's cousin yet (J&C).
Will go pick up the dgrands at school in about 20 minutes, and will need to stop by DG for some chips and whatever they want to snack on. DGD will be spending the night, and if she just "has to" have her weekly sandwich from Subway, I'll take her there after ddil gets dgs.
Also need to wash the skillet I used to brown the hamburger meat.

Harriet, I received a check made out to dh recently -- repayment for satellite tv magazine which has stopped printing physical book. They had me sign his name and I think they told me to write "deceased" and then sign my name. I was kinda worried about it because I never set up an estate account, and I still have his name on the checkbook.
There's just something about the finality of it that I can't do right now. I need to do it though, because they said his name had to come off before I could put ds on.
* Oh -- I have never used the subscribe button either.

Y'all -- it is 64 degrees (Farenheit) here right now! Hooray! Dgrands may want to play outside!
Tomorrow is another day.

her weekly sandwich from Subway
Does she have a favorite?
Last night DD14 choose Subway (her favorite is pizza sub) for after her visit with counselor. I saw Subway had a new item on the menu called protein pockets that were about 330 calories and 23g protein. I didn't have high hopes because I typically don't like fast food, but I hadn't eaten since breakfast so was hungry enough to not care. The Baja protein pocket was surprisingly tasty, and I gave it a perfect 10 out of 10. Not only was it the best thing I've eaten out in a long time, but it also only cost $3.99.

Weekly trip to the city owned dumpster happened. The back of the pickup was full of the old mattress pieces and parts plus the shipping carton & packing the new mattress arrived in. That is the final step in DS17 mattress replacement project, and it can be marked complete.

Millie and I are home. Sheโ€™s resting ar the foot of the bed and I stretched out to read with her. I need to go out to my car to do some clean up. I think she had the runs. They said to offer some food and I need to get a pain pill and antibiotic down here.

I ordered DoorDash for myself tonight. Just a burger and fries. Dh is cooking at temple.
