Just sent my response and documents to the DAR registrar here for her review before I send to National. I scanned all the documents and have added my info on the reverse. Of course, she'll have changes but it's off my plate for the moment. And I shared the Dropbox folder for this application with her a long time ago, so she has been seeing it as I've written the analysis.
I'm about to leave here with dh to get him to the mountain.

Re: Spring Forward Sunday PWYC
Hi!
Dh and I had our coffee/hot chocolate and then we went to Niagara Falls to get meat and vegetables. After that we went to our favourite Italian bakery. Dh mentioned he was hungry when we got there, so we went to the deli and ordered 2 sandwiches and I ordered a hot cappuccino and we sat in their cafe to eat/drink. It was nice to sit there and enjoy the sandwiches. We normally get them to go and eat them in the truck on the way home. So we ended up getting some hot cross buns with raisins for dh and some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and a zucchini loaf. ALL for dh. I'm going to freeze some of them. Thankfully we don't go there often any more.
I had a lot of meat to package for the freezer. Because the freezer was really low I did an inventory. I put in 18 meals worth of meat to bring it up to 28 meals to cook and there will be leftovers from some of those meals. Dh is happy because he hates when the chest freezer gets low.
It looks warm and it's sunny here, but only 7 C outside with high winds. We saw a guy walking in shorts without a shirt near the falls. Most likely a Canadian. LOL!!
Cats had their nip. They also all went outside this morning. I've also deep cleaned 2 of 3 litter boxes. 2 of them played and chased each other when they came back inside. These 2 never hiss or scratch each other.

Re: Spring Forward Sunday PWYC
Hello - mom is off a bit but she did help me start some brocolli and onion sets.
it's the last day for the weekend helper - She started the job to be here with mom. it's hard - bc last month she wanted more hours and then suddenly said it was too much for her to get things done. she will be working for a man for 2 hours on Sunday mornings and then, today, she said she doesn't know how long she will do it. I don't know if she understands how people count on people. at first I was really happy for her for cutting her day but found out that she doesn't know how long she will be there for the new people.
now to mark my seed envelops for before/after frost planting dates

All 3 freezers are sorted out. I had 2 bags of tomatoes so I put them all into 1 bag. Same with blackberries. Two completely empty bags. Apparently 1 had ice in it once upon a time. Now all the extra bags are gone, all the fruits are together and all the veggies are together. I'm happy. While I was doing the meat packaging earlier and the 3 freezers getting reorganized, I was also cooking supper.
Cottage roll, cabbage and carrots. No onions or potatoes tonight.
I also packaged 2/3 of what we got at the bakery and it's now in a freezer where only bread goes. I used to also put butter out there. Now I keep the butter in the house freezer.
Dishes are in the sink. The only pots that are dirty are the ones I'm currently cooking in.
We have a busy week and I'm ready for it. (By busy, I mean 4 PSW visits and dh has an appointment on Wednesday at his regular doctor.)

Re: Spring Forward Sunday PWYC
And just like that ****SNAP FINGERS**** the 2026 grass mowing season has started. I do enjoy mowing with battery powered self-propelled walk behind mower. All I have to do it press a button to start it and then just hold on and walk while it does all the work. I collect all the cut clippings in bag to use in compost pile.
Grass gets cut.
I get exercise outside doing something very calming.
Compost pile increases with chemical free plant matter.
It is a WIN-WIN-WIN in my books.
DD14 spent the afternoon walking around town with her friends. She just called and requested me to pick her up at the park. She was ready to be home and didn't want to do the walk from park to home.
This afternoon DS17, friend and his 6 month old baby went to the city to buy the baby some clothes. The teenage boys are very particular about safety for the baby and making sure its every need is anticipated. DS17 close friend group has 1 month old and a 6 month old babies. I don't recommend teenagers having babies, but they seem to be doing a good job of taking care of the babies.

Re: Spring Forward Sunday PWYC
I have had lunch.
It's windy out so glad we walked earlier.
Not good for mowing.
I am dreading the noise of the mowing machines to be honest season but I'm starting to get more
used to that now as folks are ramping up that now. Nearby, on the walking routes I take I see people have
been busy doing that and more flowers are budding.
I need to get fuel for the rigs and the mower & deal with the oil.
I am reluctant to do the electric mower route as the weight of them is off putting.
I used to enjoy mowing and yard work more.
I have more thoughts I'll journal on this topic...
I got out books I have to read and am excited about the new work books for writing I have ordered.
Instead of a potty party that I could feel coming on I went out in the back yard a protected place and
raked up a pile of leaves and move them in to the plant cage.
Then sat in the sun came in a bit later and rinsed my lunch dishes.
Happy music is playing now that sure does help!

Re: Spring Forward Sunday PWYC
Good afternoon! I used what day I had yesterday well and then had a good time with the gals. We shut the restaurant down; the manager asked if we’d like to take any garlic rolls home, and I said, “Twist my arm!” I had some for breakfast this morning… well, afternoon. Since we didn’t have to go to church this morning since we went last night, and I stayed up and watched SNL despite the time change, I slept in this morning. And then I was listening to a radio interview, and then I was working on this month’s book club book. (The Memory of Lavender and Sage. I’m not very far into it, but at this point, I do not recommend.) We are meeting this Tuesday, so I really need to get on the stick. I hadn’t worried about procrastinating on it, since I normally read quickly, but this is a slog.
Other than reading, though, I haven’t done much today. And I got started reading again after writing that, so now I’m going to do some more. Hopefully I’ll be more productive tomorrow.

I picked up dh at friend's house where the two were tasting bourbons, and he was sloshed! Rare for him, but perhaps knowing he didn't have to drive he didn't monitor himself. I got him home and did italian sausages in oven instead of having him grill. He's asleep.
I did get some stamping time in, and clean up time up here this afternoon.DAR Registrar sent back some corrections, which I'll look at tomorrow a.m. I hope. I think I can get this in the mail tomorrow or Tuesday.
Tomorrow I only have my workout.

Re: Spring Forward Sunday PWYC
Although I'd love to have the compost, LadyM, my first thought was still ....MOWING! Noooooooooooo.... ... Can't be time yet to even plan it, can it? Hope the guys have a successful shopping trip.
Service this a.m. was very nice.
This afternoon I spent some time spiffing the master bathroom.
I'm sort of waiting on paint to dry. Well, glue to dry. I designed a quilting template that has been playing around in my head for a while, drafting it on scrap paper, then Elmer-ing it onto cardboard from a cereal box to cut out. I can trace it lots of times from this tried-and-true method, just can't see through to make sure alignment is perfect. If I love it and really feel I'll use it a lot, I may trace onto actual template plastic. Otherwise, I'm too cheap. Ironically, I got template plastic as a free gift when I bought some fabric.
I've tried reasoning with myself, but I won't listen.
