I was staring uselessly ahead of me, not getting anything done, so I went back to bed. Now I'm back up and not feeling terribly energetic, but I did feed Germane and made gnocchi with shrimp, tomato and pesto for supper.

Bama, I've got the chart out. How much does your dog weigh? It says antihistamines must NOT contain a decongestant and must NOT contain Pseudoephedrine. Under 5 kg it's half a pill, 5 to 15 kg it's 1 pill, 15 kg + it's 2 pills.
Frequency says 3 times/day. You start with once and work your way up.
There are 2.2 lbs in a kg.

I took a little cat nap myself. I got cold while I was filling in my food app so pulled the cover up and for about :20. Got up, dh had started grilling so I walked both dogs, weeded a little on the side of the house, Sam’s delivered part of my order (why do they say ship when they mean drive it from the store and why not bring my toilet paper too? Is that left for fed ex?), after we ate and watched a little tv I got ready for bed, now I’m in bed chilling.

He's a big boy! That's 45 kg, so his full dose would be two pills. I would start with one, just to be on the safe side.

LOL@the grocery delivery. I think that dry goods are shipped with a regular shipping company (my Costco uses UPS) but actual persishable groceries have to be delivered from the store. I have found that the $3.00 per item surcharge for big things from Costco can be well worth it, but have never tried the grocery part of it.

usual dose is 1 mg per pound. Here are warnings about benadryl from a veterinary website:
When NOT to give your dog Benadryl:
Benadryl is only for mild-to-moderate reactions. If your pet is having an acute allergic reaction with facial swelling or difficulty breathing, go straight to the vet.
If your dog has glaucoma, high blood pressure, seizures or epilepsy, or cardiovascular disease, don’t give him Benadryl. It could make these conditions worse.
Don’t give your dog Benadryl if she is pregnant.
If your dog is taking any other medications, it is especially important to ask your vet before giving Benadryl to your dog, as there may be drug interactions that could be harmful or worsen a pre-existing condition.

I'm home from viewing dson's new truck for his work. A 3/4 ton Chevrolet Silverado, white, 2 and 4 wheel drive. It's so big that the hood at my shoulder height. (Funny story about his first personal pick-up truck. It was a Chevrolet Silverado, color was sort of pewterlike. I knew nothing about pic up trucks, and was buying him something for it that he had asked for. I was asked what kind of truck it was. I proudly answered Chevrolet. I knew htat mch. When I was asked what color, I told the guy "Silverado" because I thought that was the color - Silverado sure sounded like a commercial name for a pewter color!
Now it's time to clear off my desk and get ready for the income tax paperwork.

Dogged, they charge $3 per item to ship stuff to you? That can add up.
Here it’s free if it’s over $35 for Sam’s/Walmart and Amazon. Or always free if you have the annual subscription. That’s why I don’t see how they can afford to deliver my items with 3 different arrival dates when they all are in stock at my local store. So weird.
The stores will ship non perishables; they have drivers at the local stores that deliver perishables. An older friend has her groceries delivered by a senior married couple who even put them away for her lol. I thought that was sweet but surprising. I doubt it’s in their job description, they’re just nice people.

Gma, thanks for the “fine print” information. I’ll be certain to look out for anything you mentioned. He has had benadryl before, it’s just been awhile since I used it so I’m questioning myself.

Lol at the Silverado color though an easy assumption to make. 3/4 ton … That’s a big ole truck! I’d need a stepstool to get in.

Beau is a big old boy but he doesn’t look it until something small is beside him and you do a size comparison.
I was thinking his birthday is this month so I just looked and it was February 5. I won’t tell him I forgot. We got him in March so that’s why it sticks in my head as his birthday, it’s his gotcha month.
