Say, did you guys know that there are cats' litterboxes that you can buy for $699.99? They are on sale, normally $899.99. They have an app so you can talk to it over wifi. I remember the days when I had cats. If one cat used the litterbox, another cat would wake me up and demand that I clean it out immediately. Never once did I feel the need to chat with the litterbox. It shows how quicky a person who works with technology can get out of date, LOL.

trissie, that phone call took a chunk out of your day that you couldn't spare, but if nothing else, it gave you reassurance that the issue is not you, and that you are not alone in seeing it.
Thank you, I am feeling much more like myself.
Are you able to write out the actual correct przewalskis horse? When you put three consonants together in front of an anglophone, if it's not "thr" we shy like a startled horse.

Tuesday
Put Germane’s food out of reach
Gave Germane her heart pill. Started timer.
Took pill
Went back to bed
Gave the dental office my credit card information, as the partial payment from the dental plan has come through
Put on a pot of coffee
Went back to bed
Breakfast for Germane
Germane’s old lady version of the centrifugal spin is to walk in a circle like a pony ride and then stare meaningfully at me. I got the message and gave her the rest of the salmon.
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed a few basinsful of dishes
Put white fish in the toaster oven to cook for Germane
Put more dishes in to soak
Looked up pronunciations for przewalskis horse. Settled on “she-VAL-ski as the pronunciation that I can make without embarrassing myself.
Washed the soaking dishes

LAnn good to see you:)
Glad migraine is settling, Dogged . Have you tried warm bath to avert it? It only works for me if I do it at the beginning.
helia you are doing so well with jogging
trissie rose pruning... we have a while yet:) (Not that I personally have any...)
I was pretty proud of pup leaving them alone... Bunnies have caused me a lot of stress here:)

Incredible. I filled a huge paper bag with leaves - and I'm not done 1/2 of the front yet.

Next up:
chat with dfriend
then pup pick up
change / gym

That IS very good of your pup, kitkat.
Doggedly, our friends have a high tech kitty litter box that automatically cleans the litter after each visit from a cat. I don't think it talks. Our friends are very happy with it and highly recommend it. They said theirs was a bit pricey; I think they're around $200-$800.

All I've done: update calendly for payroll - EPT interview availability.

Next - some qt.

(((Dogged))), I’m glad you’re on the mend.
I have seen the kind of litter box that helia is talking about but have heard mixed reviews. I have no need to converse either lol. Fancy seems to equal more work in the end for me, maybe my cats aren’t high tech, still have to empty it, then sterilize and what not, I’ll do the old fashioned scoop and be done. Of course, even the plain Jane stainless steel can be over $100.
And I don’t want to chat with people, much less machines.
Add chickens to the list of animals that just fall down and demand to be protein.

Kitkat, good on you and your well trained pup. Now to train the rabbits. Wtg with the leaves.

Helia, hope the fires are all out now.

Trissie, bummer about the phone call and confirmation of an issue that has no solution (yet).

LAnn, hope your day slows down.

Beau’s ok, eyes still a little pink and itchy, I made lick mats for him and Thumper and they’re napping off the effects of the snacky surprise.

How did I miss helia in my last post? I'm glad that you have gotten those little fires under control.
Be sure to protect your eyes if you go out in the sun while your pupils are dilated.
That's a shocking price for a litter pan, but I'm glad that your dfs are happy with theirs.

I don't really take baths anymore, kitkat, as I'm not sure if I would be able to get back up. In this case, the migraine started around four or five in the morning and it showed up as very mild headache and hunger. I'm not sure why, but I very stupidly stood up to it and denied it both pill and crackers, and said "You're not the boss of me." When I next woke up, it was indeed the boss of me.
WTG on your leaf clearing.
I had no idea that plain metal litter pans were so expensive! I see future pet ownership spiralling further and further away from me.

Watered plants
Went to put on the electric kettle. Found that it was sitting in a puddle from the rubber gloves that I had used on the dishes. Moved the kettle.
Finished decluttering box, added it to the stack of available boxes

Hello everyone!

Thank you for the compliment, Helia! :D Ah, yes the black tarp next door.(Sigh!) My neighbours that side are great sports fans, especially football, so in the summer months they like to set up their patio furniture on the decking, facing that corner, which contains the "bar" (complete with flashing bar sign) , a large TV and speakers. They are very generous, and like to share their sporting and music tastes with the neighbourhood. (This is also why I have blackout curtains in the bedroom!) In the winter months, the patio furniture is all piled on a heap under the tarp for some sort of protection. However, this winter just gone, they also left the TV and speakers outside all winter. I have it on very good authority from DF PM, who used to work in the AV business, that both TV and speakers are unlikely to still be working after a winter exposed to extreme wet and cold! ( I didn't like to mention this to Dnextdoorneighbour D back in the autumn, as her BF is an electrician, and I sort of assumed he at least knew about this!)

Bama, thank you! The white "bells" are snowflakes (Leucojum Aestivum). Very easy to grow - just plant and leave to do their thing. Oh, and perfectly hardy in our winters. :D

Trissie, coffee inside for me today. The temperature has dropped at bit, so it's not really warm enough to sit about outside (but perfect for working in the garden!) :D

That's a lot of running around today, L.Ann!

KitKat, baby bunnies are so sweet!🐇

Dogged, I hope you're feeling better. I have 4 litter trays (1 for each cat+1 as recommended). Do I dare say that they are "just" plastic , still quite reasonably priced ( just checked on Amazon and one of the exact models we have is £9.99 and they have another at £7.99) and no microchip in any of them? I dont think I would go for self cleaning, because, as gross as this may sound, I like to observe for myself what's been "produced" , as it's a very good indicator of general health (Fred in particular has a very sensitive tummy). I think I'm also definitely a cheapskate!

I had a very productive time in my garden and tool out two Euonymus (Euonymi??) that definitely had world domination in mind (unlike the promises of "restrained behaviour" on their labels! ). The space that one occupied I'll plant with geraniums for the summer, and the other space I've just forked the soil over and I'll let the existing ground cover colonise it,.at least for now. I also think the rose nearby will do better now it has less competition.

This afternoon I finally cleaned the sitting room, and then, after DH had left for choral society,.I finally filed the paperwork I went through last week. My progress there is slow,. but at least it's progress!

There is a hardy geranium that's looking sad, but it might do better with less competition and more light? Maybe I could just sow some low growing hardy annuals and see what happens? Planted hellebores in that "difficult " spot😀
Buy some more pansies😀
April (depending on weather!).buy geraniums (work out how many I'll need in advance! - 24?)

Ah, Kittykatt, you make me realize how fortunate I am that Pinky And The Brain is in a pot in my apartment, and not in the ground where I would have to beat it back daily from its attempts at world domination. Keep up the good fight!

I only ever had plastic trays for my cats, and for my guinea pigs and rabbits too. Simpler times!

LOL, Dogged!

It's 9.30 pm and the roofer has just this minute messaged to ask if he can come and fix the garage roof tomorrow?!?! I've said yes, of course, (one never turns down a roofer, they're like gold dust!) but it means I have to be up early tomorrow to meet / greet and get them settled in, and it would be a bonus if I could move some of the sacks of compost before they arrive !!!😀
