◕‿◕ * * * Good Morning! * * * ◕‿◕

Hi kittykatt, thanks for the start.
Difficult to access the boards today.

1st of May is Labour Day, no payroll. All shops closed, as opposed to usual bank holidays or Sundays where you can still find a bakery or a convenience store open at least for a few hours in the Morning.
Nothing planned, but a lot of tasks to catch up on.

TADAs
Up after good night
Quiet breakfast and talk with MrNG
time with DS10 at breakfast

TODOs
get dressed and enjoy sun in the garden or patio
prep lunch ? plan to spend time at the beach after lunch ?

Good morning, FFB, and enjoy your Labour Day!

I'm also having big problems getting onto the boards, and then when I am eventually able to post, it posts twice, and then I can't get on to delete the duplicate. Never mind !

We have a cloudy day, but it's not raining. Yet. Ive taken Fred out, and my next job is to run up to the community shop for DH, so I can drop off he list of menu choices for his men's breakfast tomorrow.

The morning was a struggle to get in, so confusing since yesterday seemed a breeze all day to me.

We sent in a request for service at maybe, 11-ish here. And now 'tis better, so, gratitude.

My first task will be getting the monthly threads begun.

A little work in the garden on the horizon after that, sewing coming up

A load of laundry to monitor.

Hi, all. Today is my big preparation day for the trip. I tried to help myself out by organizing things ahead of time. Yesterday I flaked out, so there are still yesterday's tasks to take care of. Also, I had to leave moving the plants for today because it kept going below freezing at night. And Germane has added her bit by some creative pooping. So, still plenty to do. I will try to alternate things at the computer with things that need the participation of joints. That's the plan.

Thank you for starting us off, Kittykatt. Especially when the board is not cooperating.

Happy Labour Day, FrenchFly. Ours is in September.

Thank you for taking care of the board troubles, Harriet.

Friday
Searched for pill organizer for trip: cannot find it
Picked up dog’s food
Heart pill for Germane
Cleaned up after dog
Put on a pot of rice
Spiffed self
Papered Germane’s pen
Fresh kibble for Germane
Settled Germane in pen with her breakfast
Went to car rental to pick up car
Tried to set the controls: car manual not included
Registered it for parking
Brought tarp, backseat cover, Germane’s crate and sun/night glasses from car to rental car
Released Germane from pen. She had managed to poop into the bars of the pen, up the side of a crate and covered the peepads covering the floor of her crate

Hello, Harriet and Dogged!

Harriet, thank you for sorting out the problems with the boards. :D

Dogged, I hope your joints cooperate, and allow you do get all your preparations done.

I think I'm done for today. Today's Big Event was a bumble bee, who decided to settle on the bedroom window frame, right where it was open. :o Freddie often sits on the bedroom window sill, but he never stands on his hind legs as if he's trying to reach something, so my suspicions were aroused. I couldn't shut the window , as that would have squashed the poor bee, so I tucked Fred under my arm and handed him to DH. By the time I had found my long handled flat duster, so I could dislodge the bee from a safe distance , Matilda had discovered it. Fortunately, she responds to a voice command to "Stop that, now!" so she jumped down and I was able to dislodge the bee and send him/ her to safety outside, without anyone getting stung.😀

Tonight's summer was Welsh rabbit jacket potatoes with ham and an Italian salad. DH pronounced it a hit. 😀

I'm off to bed now, so I'll hopefully see everyone tomorrow.
