White Hyssop ( Hyssopus officinalis 'Albus' is a white flowering form of the ever popular Hyssop. It's a lovely bushy evergreen perennial herb which will grow to about 60cm. The leaves are narrow pointed, dark green and about 35mm long. The flowers are produced in spikes of small rich white blooms, they are borne in late summer. The flowers are loved by bees. White Hyssop adds flavour to soups, salads, lamb, stewed fruit, tarts and pies.

Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday!

Trissie, I hope you had a better night's sleep last night.

Bama, I totally understand about four footed fiends undoing all the housework! :D

Mmmm, strawberries, L.Ann - I must look in M&S to see if their English strawberries are in yet.

Helia, does Kroger have an app you can use if the website isn't playing nicely? (I find that even if a website isn't behaving, the app will often still work, and vice versa).

Gma, the orange bundt cake sou ds delicious - I had heard of it before, but had to look it up to see what it looked like. I agree that drizzling the topping over it will be the best plan! :D

Laura, my go to baking when I'm short of time is flapjack - very quick and easy to do, and turns out well.

Yesterday was productive - I had some time in my garden and then came in and worked downstairs and I also cleaned the patio doors. I still haven't tackled my "extras" list but I did get the kitchen straightened up - between us we forgot to run the DW Monday night, and there was another load to do..

Today it may, or may not 🌧️ ( one website says "cloudy" the other gives a 25% chance of rain), but it's going to be relatively chilly, only reaching 14 C. I think I'll wait until I'm up and dressed, and then decide what to do. If it's still dry I'll do something outside. If it's wet, there's plenty to keep me busy indoors!

Thank you for starting us off, Kittykatt. WTG on a productive day yesterday. :)

I woke up to Germane grumbling in her pen, so I changed the pads and gave her food and some attention. She has fallen contentedly back to sleep. I am listening to a David Frum podcast while I wait to fall back asleep too.

Sleep well, Dogged, and good morning, L.Ann!

Ive taken Fred out, and it's raining. Not a lot but enough to make everything wet. It's also decidedly cold, so just a quick run round my tiny front garden for me today, unless the weather drastically improves later!

My plan is to make an early start on the kitchen, although Fred is currently sprawled across the kitchen table snoring! I'll just work round him until he wakes up. :D

Kitty, I had the same thought about Kroger. Maybe there's an app I could use on my phone? Is it still raining? Have a happy indoors day!
It's only 7:20 a.m. here, L Ann. WTG on getting in the walking already! I'm more likely to exercise if I get it done first thing in a day.
Sleep well and see you soon, Doggedly.

Today: Even though I have payroll today, it feels like a more low-key day. Maybe that's because yesterday, I got 2 big things done: (1) the exam checklist and folders set up for payroll AND (2) the reservations for dd30's event. Also, my students have a test today, so that will give me about 30-40 minutes in class to do other things. A test means a good chunk of the class time is already prepped - once I finalize the test. I still have many household things to catch up on: grocery shopping, laundry, a jog. The MBR needs some attention. Dinner tonight will be gr. beef kima over rice, unless I'm running late, in which case I'll make turmeric chicken with olives over rice. The latter has fewer ingredients and thus requires less shopping.

Next:
- payroll: grade HW
- payroll: finalize midterm test
- back exercises

Later:
- reclaim kitchen
- dress to jog
- short jog
- Krogers?
- home; put groceries away
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe shower
- payroll: slides for AI AS D7
- print out midterm test
- make bed

- after lunch clean up
- refill bird feeder
- bins back from the curb
- darks: w d f pa
- 1:40 - 3:30 payroll: teach AI AS D7

- payroll: update gradelink
- payroll: communicate re: MLA practice to 1 S
- dinner: kima, rice, roasted squash
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- finish fun book?

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - big jump up. Ugh!
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
