Re: Saturday Situation PWYC
Good morning
We had storms come through the night and gift us an inch of rain. It is most welcome! Although I don't think it will change the extreme drought status the map shows.
I don't have anything on the calendar that must be done today. There are several errands waiting but none of them are in the "must-do" status.
My energy level is good so I have no desire to take a day off.
Similar to temperature of goldilocks porridge....My day is
Not too busy
Not too slow
but "just right" in the middle

howdy - praying your drought gently goes away and the rain isn't overwhelming when it comes. praying the drought goes away.
hello both of you and everyone!
today is my mom's 89 birthday - we have a bag piper coming today, for her. hopefully she will be wide awake. I have to pick up her cake at 10.
dd younger came in last night, which is lovely. She drives to New York on the 28th. (it was adorable - her dog came to the front door and saw me and was so so excited- so sweet). Gracie dog was beyond thrilled; she never jumps but seeing dd younger made her jump up in the air. (lol)

Re: Saturday Situation PWYC
Saturday Situation here is off because I'm just in a weird place. The funeral and time with family has left me feeling wiped out. I don't wanna do nuthin' right now. (yes double negative there...) But I must get myself ready for the road tomorrow. There's nothing on on the calendar today and tonight and I'm working to keep it that way. Or perhaps we'll eat out tonight? We ate big afternoon meals at cousin's and then PBJ last night.
Once I'm moving I know I'll feel better. Perhaps I'll find the BGS next. (Butt Glue Solvent)
It's cloudy with scattered/isolated T storms this afternoon. Humidity is very high.
Bw2, so good to see you popping in and happy birthday to your dmom today.
Waving to LadyM!

I'm setting a timer for 45 minutes...no specific jobs, mostly a.m. routine/dailies. Starting several lists - must do before I leave, things for today, things to do/remember in the a.m. Working to :15 after TOTH.
I have a load of laundry going that will drip dry and I've walked the dog. Drinking a last cup of a.m. coffee.

Happy 89th Birthday to Blessedw2 DMom! What a special day to celebrate!
Two beds are stripped and bedding is washing now.
Three hours of minimum movement accomplished. I am racking up some steps by picking up branches that the storms blew out of the trees. It is easier to spend time in the front of the house instead of in the garden. The mockingbird parents are taking their protection duties over the top (IMHO). They are making being in the garden uncomfortable with their threats and flying near my head. Reminding myself....only a few more days and then the baby birds will be able to fly away, and this protective parental mode will cease.
I'm not making fast enough progress on my paperwork categories and have grown weary of seeing the stacks of papers waiting for me. I am considering to keep the stacks separate by using gallon ziplock bags to hold the papers. Then I can get the papers out of sight but still in their categories. It might be a mistake to take these stacks out of my constant view as a reminder of how much I need to finish. Hum....
Maybe I ought to double down and get super focused on the papers. Instead of doing one category a day ....maybe I can do one category an hour? Whoa. That sounds too big of a goal, but what if it worked?

Hi!
It's absolutely pouring rain here today. Even though it is an awful day weather-wise, errands still needed doing. I went to Niagara Falls to get ground beef on sale, plus dh wanted pork ribs and asparagus. Another store has butter on sale for $3.99 pound. Altogether at 2 different stores plus the wipers going at full speed, I was out for 2 hours.

Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

well we had to cancel moms person - she was so happy when she woke up and then completely shut down physically - 3 weeks in a row where she slept all day - we think the furosemide is too much for her by the time Friday rolls around.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Bw2 I'm glad you are able to evaluate what's best for your mom.
I'm up and have done am routine most of it any way.
Walked ddoggo a short walk around the block.
I'm still limbering up.
May have sat too much on my rest day Fri.
Have done watering in the back yard.
Next up trying for 3 rows.
Knit for a bit. x

What do you know?! I can do more than one category of papers a day. Three categories have been completed today!
DH selected the "Box Top" band for the music of the day. He is hand washing dishes while singing along with them. #happySounds
