Tuesday was my traditional desk day so today I'm taming and declawing the paper tiger...lots to catch up on! Focus on Paper Taming today!

Good morning

The race to beat the trash truck this morning was a WIN! Trash made it to the road before the trash truck arrived.

Daily garden harvest is in progress. I had all that I could carry so I stopped harvesting before needing a basket to carry peppers, strawberries and tomatoes. The garden has exceeded our ability to eat them fresh, so I'll need to start processing the peppers today into the freezer. My future self will appreciate using them this winter.

Today project is to download a year worth of prescription information from pharmacy, medicare and insurance websites. As I type this, I wonder why I am doing this. Do I need this information? Have I ever needed to use it? Collecting information just because I can is not something I want to do. It must have a purpose. Hum..... rethinking doing this

I have been cleaning up paper, sort of from crafting.
I've been crafting creating a divider that will coming out and can be moved for my wire bound art planner.
Mostly to see if I can do it. Could not find one on line to buy. So it's taken me two days and several failed attempts.
But after sleeping on it I woke up with a solution. Some thing I'd done in the past cutting between the holes on
the pages gave me success and I could get a pattern to put on a note card yea! Now I know I can move the unused pages
to after the ones I've used if I need want to. Also I can add /move some pages for quarterly info. retreats or focus later on
for the win!

Spiffed up the kitchen & round up dishes to be washed in a bit -> next X = done.
After I eat breakfast. Ate x.

Following Harriet's example of prep. before sewing I'm working 15 min. to clear stuff off the bed in that room.
TY Harriet for the insp.!Did a round and can already tell it's making a difference.
Transitioning from yarn to fabrics and art supplies. x.
Duds to sort x and start [ ] after my shower x.
Dusting needs to happen. Dusted one room x

DH was hyperfocused on getting the water bill paid so we made an extra trip to city hall to accomplish it. Hopefully his mind will relax now.

The prescription info I'm trying to decide if needed to track are the details of what each prescription cost, what the cost would be if paid cash, what we paid (copay), what insurance paid, what medicare part D paid. We have a fantastic pharmacist that seeks out the best deal for us so I don't think we can beat the price. So......why spent the time tracking all those details? Every month we receive a stack of papers from insurance with all these details. I can log into their website and download them in spreadsheet. Years ago I tracked these costs because we could write them off on taxes, but we dont do that anymore so why am I continuing to track them?

CPA called and is ready for our papers. We dropped them off and chatted for a bit.
Made our first meal of the day.
DS17 called seeking info about location of a place we use to visit. He is doing a work trip and can't find it. I sent him a link to it on google maps.

I'm not sure how I think I'm going to get paper taming done when I'm out twice today but I'll just have to bear down on it somehow. I have body work today and then am going to cemetery for someone who wants to buy two plots. Prez meeting us there, he's the one with the the mapping system but I don't think it's granular enough for plots?

Later....didn't get this posted, but back from body work and feeling balanced and loose.

-email about HOA insurance, later I'll drop off the policy and info to prez
-check online bank balances, my credit card balances (part of desk day)
-enter info for three or four checks that need to be written for HOA
-go through my "box on the counter" pull out things to file for us

Probably won't get all this done...

LM, you don't need that info for tax purposes if you're not itemizing, unless there's some reason you need to know how much scripts etc. are costing you. You do need the list of current scripts at doctor's office - I keep one in Excel in Dropbox.

Yup. I just need a list of who takes what medication. All the other bazillion details are not needed. I have started the process of getting rid of that paperwork. I've shredded about 6" of papers so far this morning. The shredder needed a break.

Made DS17 an appt with family doctor for this Friday. He doesn't want to do Ozempic shots anymore. He wants to switch to pill form.

Good morning! You may gather from my lack of reporting back yesterday that I did not make my DPC. I was just kind of getting myself steeled up finally, and DH came home. First, he was having some computer/phone trouble, and I was trying (with no success) to help him, then, I was embarrassed to make the call in front of him. I said I would do it almost a month ago, while he was at camp school. OTOH, he should have made the call a month or two before that, so why I’m embarrassed, I don’t know. Anyhow, I have now written a script for the call, so I’m one step closer.

I could really use a Desk Day, but it’s not going to be today.

I meant to ask, Nancy — do hollyhocks rebloom, or do they have a short season? I’ve thought they would look nice on the side of our house, where we have a thin strip of dirt between the house and driveway.

DH used to grow tomatoes there until he got tired of growing tomatoes just to feed the deer. He just went to the garden center at HD the other day and got some herbs to plant there — and a couple of flowering shrubs. Dipladenia, I think they’re called. I’ve never heard of them before. But I think he should have put them in pots rather than into the ground. The tag says they’re hardy to 30F, and we get colder than that here, so I think they were selling them as patio plants. Oh, well, we shall see.

Thinking of Harriet and HRH on their medical rounds today.

I really need to stop putting off that phone call. Wish me luck!

Apparently, I never actually hit submit on the above. Call made, so when I have my therapist visit tomorrow, I can tell her when they’re coming out for the estimate. (I don’t need to tell her how long I dragged out making the call. )

Holly hocks live two years, mine have reseeded b/c I do not dead head them.
I usually have ones babies I call em coming up for the next season.
I have had great success transplanting them too!
I luv em b/c they come after the other spring flowers.

Google said: individual hollyhock do not bloom every year.
... bc they complete their life cycle over 2 yrs./

Some roses are re-blooming now too.

I have not gotten any more plants or seeds.
Did get a package of new flags, when I did a store run got the stuff unloaded and put away.
Flag day is coming soon.

It's windy here.
I got a new coloring book with faith theme for ladies.
NO yarn! Bi /fabric,

Taking a breather and hydrating now.
