Good morning

Twins - Thank you for starting us off today
LadyM, how soon will ds and girlfriend be able to get married?
GF16 mother wants her to graduate HS before they get married. GF16 switched from brick & mortar public school to online charter school so she could go at a faster pace. I haven't kept track of GF16 classes, but I think she has another year to graduate. Our state recently made a law that no one can get married below 18 years old. No exceptions. So, they will either wait 1.5 years until GF is 18 or drive one hour to different state and get married there.
DS17 and GF16 are together a minimum of 6 hours every day and never seem to get tired of each other. DS17 is high energy extravert while GF16 is calm & quiet introvert. Somehow that opposite personality type works for them because each one primary focus is on taking care of the other one.

I woke up at 3am and felt ready to get up. I have a rule (can't get up before 5am) so I made myself stay in bed and eventually fell back asleep. What could have been a short night sleep turned into a 7.5 hour sleep. Sometimes those boundaries (rules) come in handy.

Hi!
All about being within this Thursday vibe Twins' has brought us.
I was so serious :geek: about priorities (OMMs?) for today, I didn't just make out a 3x5 card, I stuck it into the keyboard keys here, lol.

greeting card - to the mail
cardfile - re-do personal routine schedule, meds, exercise
Errand Day (maybe?) pharmacy
look for delivery - wrap bday gift
5:00 conference call meeting

Round Robin-ing this week, trying that clipboard-ed form of individual boxes that I label with room names for my everyday cleaning and declutter. Each box has five printed lines to write on and check-off boxes. By Thursday a.m., out of 11 original OMMs in six areas, I've checked off 7, but in fairness, more of these were added through the week. By now I've thought of 15 total to write. :? So that is one drawback. Sort of not getting credit for the same first-of-week successes if more come along. Different colored pens have helped me see that I'm doing fine. It's a WIP.

I was up on time not to early not late just right.
I have been going slow this week after having that cold and it's taken me some down time to get back on track.
Me time days Sick days and just some catch up days. I do think it's good to remind ourselves of that and others in our lives.

Today I have sheets in the wash & clean sheets on the bed.
Got fabric out to look over and put in the space I freed up from yarn progress that I've used up.
Did go outside and de-limbed branches in the front yd.
I still have to have bfast
back yard limbs to get to later on.

When I was a teen mom was so busy & had back surgery books etc was piled 2' high in the living room ~
I decided I would keep my bed room spic and span and it was so good to retreat to that!

If I needed down time and mom wanted to know what I was doing I'd say doing home work
or drawing for my art correspondence that I was doing and she did not assign me chores then.

Today I gave myself 3 inside things and tree outside things.
Got the hoses rolled up 1st thing and moved lawn chairs & side tables moved.

About old-school Round-Robin with a clipboard.

Wanted to show something similar to what I'm using. Mine does not have a title like this one. I found it online years back - can't find it online now. But this one did explain it's a free printable, although you're expected to download. So, I don't think I'm wrong in just posting an image of it. There are so many good check-off To-Do forms out there. This appeals to me because of just a few items per room, not depressing expectations/length.

Here's an image of a similar "free-printable" form

Hi!

Dh took all 5 of his morning meds without too much fuss this morning. He never wanted to take any meds in the morning. Then he started taking a water pill which must be taken early in the day. It became a habit. This morning I handed him the 5 pills. He decided to put them on the table. One rolled off the table and onto the floor. I rescued that one. When he tried to pick up the pills, one partially disintegrated under his finger. Tomorrow I will try a different way to deal with this. Only 2 meds are new. Pharmacist told me to tell him that he needs to take all doses of all pills for them to do their job to make him feel better. I blamed it on the pharmacist. So now my daily list includes "Morning meds" and "night meds" and he has to announce to me that he has taken his night meds when he leaves the bathroom. Sometimes he forgets, so I follow him to the living room and ask.

Compost and recycling have been taken out to the road. Supper has been decided (meatloaf) so the meat was brought in along with a package of buns. Sadly the rye bread that I bought on Monday has already gone moldy.

Today is supposed to be quite humid, so I pulled a few weeds in the garden while I was outside. All 3 cats have come inside and one is sleeping beside my mouse on the desk and the small one is curled up on the ironing board behind me. This room is cooler than the other rooms.

Now I have to go and be an adult. I have an appointment at the bank in 45 minutes.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

and cleaned up after that moved so I can mow later.
I still have some larger ones to saw also later.
On a rest break now.
Got my a.m steps in yea!

No mail to process.
Sheets are done so I can fold them in a bit. x

Hip, Hip, Hoorays for small accomplishments
** laundry in progress (drying now)
** Two meals made. One of them was creating a casserole type dish with 3 main ingredients - hamburger meat, potatoes, cheese. I'm pleased with the results.
** AM personal care done well

GF16 quit her job on the first day. I am surprised that she was willing to try that job, but I'm not surprised that it wasn't a good fit for her. It is a fast-paced environment that has drive through customers with a long line almost always waiting (think starbucks). GF16 is soft spoken and reserve. The typical workers there are quick, assertive and focused on filling orders while interacting with customers.

Ds17 is thrilled that he got to make his first delivery today. He wants to transition into sales eventually. For now, he is doing what every other employee there had to do....start at the bottom and work your way up. I think DS17 personality would be a great salesperson

LucyLee - thinking about your dryer. Have you checked the outside vent to make sure a bird hasn't built a nest and blocked it? Does the hot air come out of the vent while the dryer is running?
No need to answer. Just random possibilities running through my mind.

Good afternoon! Today has already been a successful day -- I had gotten the kids to agree to help me to clean off late DFIL's car. I was going to do that this evening, when it would hopefully be cooler, but the forecast predicted the temperatures going up into the evening, so I was able to pry DC out of bed, so we could do the work early. Shortly, I will take them for the promised ice cream (and pick up my Target order and the things DH failed to get yesterday (he didn't see the other side of the grocery list). I was supposed to give blood today, but when I did the RapidPass questionnaire, it said if you were taking antibiotics, you may wish to defer your donation to later, so I called the Red Cross for clarification, and my post-dental work antibiotics are a deferral. Glad I checked before going.

We've got some rain now. We had a storm last evening. Once this rain stops, I will have to see how my flowers are doing. But now -- off for ice cream!
