Satisfying Saturday

Post by Twins' Mom »

What's happening in our village today? Family, chores, hobbies (sewing, crafting, reading?) and satisfying pursuits? Do tell, we want the deets today.

And how is dd14 LadyM? (is it still 14? - she's growing up so fast!)

Hi!

I have a load of laundry in the washer right now. It's really windy out plus it's overcast. We have a 66% chance of rain today. There is a thunderstorm a few hours north of us. We hope it gets to us.

Good morning.

Mystery, Cathy, is the air quality better in your areas? I noticed helia said the smoke had drifted from her area but I'm not astute enough to know what that means for others.

I've got some irrigation going outside. Making notes on some mistakes out there, or at least better ideas for next year.

Thanks for Satisfying Saturday thoughts, Twins'. Yes, I believe LadyM's dd is 15 now, whether she is "supposed" to be or not! They won't stop growing up, I know that - none of them.
LadyM, all best wishes for dd's quick healing.

Have a SATISFYING sewing retreat day, Nancy. I hope I'll be at the machine later. I have exactly what I want to do laid out, and that's one of the helps.

Noticed that Costumelady checked in; hope we get to hear from her more.

Can't believe laundry is still a Next Up for me - got so much done just a few days ago but it is neverending.

BBL!

Oh, there's Cathy - yay for a chance of rain calming the air down.

Good morning

DD15 recovery is going "perfect" according to DD50 text this morning with photo of DD15 sleeping. I am trusting that DD50 is staying on top of DD15 multiple meds needed the next few days.
Yesterday pills included....
6 steroid pills
3 Hydrocodone pain pills
3 Ibuprofen 600mg pain pills
3 antibody pills.
Those pills are all taken at different times with food on stomach, so it is a bit to keep track of.
DD50 seems on top of her game and doing well. She expressed over and over how thankful that she can be there for DD15 during this time. DD50 picked flowers from her garden early yesterday morning and put the bouquet in a vase to delivery to the oral surgeon office staff. I find myself wishing we could freeze these moments when all is going well with DD50.

The AI personal trainer is encouraging me to take it easy today. Apparently, my readiness score is low and heart rate elevated. I wasn't planning to run a marathon today, so all is okay. I'm not sure how much I value AI personal trainer opinion. I'll listen to its suggestions and reasons for them and then make my own decision.

Good morning!

Glad to know that LadyM's DD15 is doing well, and DD50 is able to care for her.

Harriet, like Cathy, we're hoping for rain to clear the air. The air quality here is much, much better, though, than yesterday. Yesterday's Guards game was postponed for a day/night doubleheader today, so here's hoping the air quality is better for the 1:10 start.

Sewing retreat sounds cool, Nancy -- I will have to check out that thread.

Twins, our agenda is to do the livestream at church, then go to DfriendK's DD's graduation party. Nothing for the early part of the day, though, so DH is champing at the bit to play a game. What are your plans? Or do you finally get a day to relax?

Off I go to play that game! Have a good one, everybody!

I had a mid day nap while the washing machine was doing it's thing. Woke up and I could hear the TV giving a signal and I couldn't hear what it was for. When I woke up dh said it was a weather warning for a tornado watch or warning. He wasn't sure which or where they were talking about. It's getting darker here by the moment and there has been some rain, but not a lot. I'm going to go check the lightning map and some weather pages.
