Ddoggo wants attn.
-----
Next Round
Did a quick drawing of an idea
cleaned under the mower.
Duds are in the dryer.
I put bagged meat in the freezer down stairs.

Brought up clothes and folded them and put em away.
Might get rain I did more watering.
Did up the dishes too.

Re: Monday New Beginnings PWYC
Home and my hair is marvelous. Of course, I'll be sweating this afternoon so that will take a lot out of it.
I made my brunch and have about an hour before I need to be getting dressed and ready to head out the door again. My mind is flooded with "but first" so I'm just going to start and see where it takes me. There are things to still put away from last night. I need to reboot laundry and finish a.m. routine. I need a Publix order for tomorrow evening, when we host again. So I'm getting moving again. I can collapse after my workout this afternoon.

Re: Monday New Beginnings PWYC
Good afternoon!
Today is Doctor Day for me. I saw my primary care (PA, actually) this morning and will see my cardiologist later this afternoon. They’re at different locations, so having the appointments spaced out is better. This cardiologist appointment was supposed to be June 1 and has been bumped a couple of times.
My blood pressure at this morning’s appointment was considerably higher than it was at home. I don’t know how much of it was the nerves of being at the doctor’s office and how much it might be my meter. I’m going to take the meter to the cardiologist appointment and see what they think. This is a wrist meter; maybe I should get one that goes around my upper arm.
blessed, I would agree that you need to take more time for yourself. The occasional morning or afternoon watching TV won’t hurt her, I don’t think. Does the helper know you’re trying to keep your mom more active?
You take such good care of your family, LadyM. I hope you get a break from the heat soon.
Glad you had your little nature walk, Nancy. We get plenty of deer but no turkeys or snakes.
Hope you’re feeling better, Twins, and those plates spin themselves.
I hope the dizziness was just due to your position, Harriet. Has it been hot enough that going in to the cool air might be a little disorienting? (Not quite the word I want, but it will have to do.)
I really want to take a nap, but if I do, I’ll be disappointed in what I get done today, given the two appointments. I should do my breakfast and lunch dishes. There are dishes from last night’s dinner there, too, that I really don’t want to do, but I helped create them. OTOH, I only helped. There are other able-bodied adults here who can do them. I just need to ask — it’s very seldom that they simply notice a thing that needs to be done and just do it, but they will do whatever we ask of them.

Cooked a lb of macaroni noodles for making pasta salad two ways. We are a house divided between real mayo vs Miracle Whip. I don't eat pasta so had to get 2 separate taste testers to let me know if each of the bowls were "just right" or needed more ingredients. We have n abundance of meat ready to eat so i won't be cooking anymore today.

Hi!!
Dh had an echo at 9:15 this morning at a small local hospital. I actually had to set the alarm on my phone. It's been so long since I have had to do that. When he was all checked in I said I needed to make an appointment for a mammo. She asked if I wanted to go in right then as they just had a cancellation. So I did. That doesn't usually happen. Glad I've got that done.
Dh and I had a very serious talk about moving this morning. By noon I was getting really bummed out. Just a while ago dh said he doesn't want to move. I guess we will have to at some point maybe. He actually went out and pulled some weeds this afternoon.

Re: Monday New Beginnings PWYC
Home from workout and amazed at how hard I worked, given how I woke up feeling this a.m. After warm up he had me doing 7 exercises or machines, moderate to light weight, 20 reps on each. Then .1 mile on recumbent stepper, then same recumbent bike, then .05 on the elliptical. And repeat. That was it, plus cooling down and stretching a little.
Temp here is hitting 99 today and heat index 106.
Earlier I was able to get an OMM list going, unfortunately, there's a lot OMM right now.
I'm heading upstairs for a few minutes. Creative. Not the same brain I'm using for all these to dos that are following me around.

Re: Monday New Beginnings PWYC
Well, when in doubt, nap. Maybe that helped. When I got up I noticed the screen door was ajar, which is how HRH leaves it for deliveries. Sure enough, he had some takeout coming from an old, local place that has started doing "home cooking" rather than their old carhop fare. Can't say a word except maybe a thank you, because he had zero input from me on what to think.
Just a day in which I have to go a little slower.
You're getting a lot done, Nancy.
Mystery, right now we own an arm one and it is somewhat accurate, I think. But I must say further, that over long experience with various ones in several households, they can be all over the place.
Good job on balancing activity with creativity, Twins'!

Re: Monday New Beginnings PWYC
I always like a new beginning too, and I have started this week doing well --
* called college town to check on dbil's away-game tickets
* called dbil to tell him yes, he can make his hotel arrangements for Gatlinburg -- we'll be playing TN in Knoxville this fall --
(I hope they don't talk about Gatlinburg tonight... that is another one of dmom's "wish list" trips that I am reluctant to take on)
* called dmom to tell her the party is still on
* talked to ds -- he will order pizza for tonight
* got the oil changed in the Tahoe
* bought candles and cupcakes for tonight's birthday party (and bananas for me)
(cupcakes incase the 5-day old cake is too dry)
* have the second load of laundry in the washer
* s/s the bathrooms
* set out all the party stuff
Now, just waiting for 6:00 pm when they will all arrive, and also listening for the dryer so I can get clothes out to hang to dry. I usually start the laundry with towels, because they take a longer cycle, but today I am starting with my clothes so I can have the towels going during the party if they take that long.
Do y'all wash towels and underwear together? What about kitchen towels? This was a question on Good Housekeeping or some site recently.
Yes, Twins, it is 90/feels like 101 here, and we are in a heat advisory for most of the week. I'm glad I don't feel the need to impress dsisil anymore, LOL! The first time she came to my house, I vacuumed like a maniac and cleaned the back door with Old English polish, washed the storm door, cleaned the back outside entry with a Mr. Clean sponge... I was a nervous wreck. Now, as I told her once, "How the mediocre have fallen..."
I did sweep off the back steps, however and the cobwebs around the door.
It is just too hot to do anymore!
My thermostat says it is 72 inside, but I feel like it is lying to me!
Good for you getting the mammogram done so quickly, Cathy!
Smiling at your divided household, LadyM. My cousins are like that -- very adamant about their preference between Miracle Whip and mayo. It is all the same to me and I don't want to touch any of it!
I guess at 34 and 43, the hope for my ds and ddil to "outgrow" their slobby phase is too much to ask...
BTW -- you definitely need to put YOUR oxygen mask on first! You have sooo much going on right now. (((HUGS)))
Mystery, my dh's bp was ALWAYS much higher at the doctor's office.
How hot is it in your area, Nancy? I'm asking because "cleaning under the mower" sounds like a miserable task to do here!
Oh my goodness, the weed-eating that needs doing around here! I actually have a weed-eater, which I won in a raffle YEARS ago... MANY years ago... and it is still in the box, because the man who mows has always been good about the weed-eating. This summer, not so much. It is really embarrassing, but all who will be at the party tonight know that I don't do it myself.
DBIL has a lawn service that does a wonderful job on his yard... but even he admits they are expensive. Right now, I'd rather live with what I have than to add another large expense.
Harriet, it was the last week, not yesterday, when dgs told the preacher it had been "so long since we heard a good sermon," LOL... but still, he seemed interested in yesterday's sermon as well, so I do think he is feeling better. DS reports he went to football practice this morning.
Take care of YOU, also, Harriet. I hope there are no more dizzy spells!
Blessed, I hope all goes well with the workers at your house today, AND with your dmom!
Dryer has stopped -- has been stopped a while, I think. (I was only tumbling clothes for 10 minutes or so to try to get wrinkles out.)

Re: Monday New Beginnings PWYC
Just lost a post 83* here today now at 3:30.
I used the hula hoe to cut off the weeds in front.
Had to get some steps in after watching a yt vid. on a guy taking the train with view cars
across the USA brought back some great memories when I was a kid.
Then read a bunch of comment on biscuits and gravy took 30 min. not as productive today
but rest days are important.
Fire is 3 mi. from DD / s/o farm & home.
-----
I've vacuumed the liv. room.
OMM: one found some thing they were looking for.
Had my dinner and washed up dishes & did a kit. spiff.
I've been moving intentionally slowly today but did get more done than I thought I would today.

Re: Monday New Beginnings PWYC
Party is done, everyone has gone home except dgd, who asked to spend the night. She's in my bedroom with the door closed, playing on her phone and doing cartwheels. With the door closed, I will not have to worry about it being 72 degrees in there later -- it will be freezing! The ac unit is right outside my bedroom and if that door is closed, it gets really cold in there fast!
I think everyone had a nice time. We all talk over each other a lot, but I guess that's how it is a lot of the time with families. My ddad's family is like that when we get together too.
