I finished the work in that block I'd mistakenly thought was finished . And then unpinned that and pinned one border section. So, yes it's progress, but not that I can record.
I wanted to do more, but my hands are not approving. I switched my watch to the other wrist, to see if that helps. Other than that, though, I did feel better today than yesterday and walked the whole supermarket, pharmacy and parking lot to get errands done.
Yep, Nancy, I'm also convinced it is very good for our brains to have creative puzzles to figure out. You are doing great with successes.
It is so tempting to work on something more forgiving for a while, like a small UFO, but I really need to get this done and off my machine table. If I set it to the side, it will be so much harder to get back into the swing.
Another reason to keep on with the machine quilting is that I don't want to have to change thread so much. I could hem those pants but they are navy, so that won't work with white cotton thread, lol! They are new and at least I have already gotten them washed up for hemming, so it's a good incentive to finish with what really has to have the white thread. Then I can switch and get them hemmed before putting this project together.
I am amazed at the intricacies of sewing fabrics together for quilt blocks.
It's 2am here, and, while I am normally asleep in less than 10 minutes, I was in bed for 2 hours. Now I am going to crochet on the couch and have a cup of decaf ginger peach tea. Maybe that will help.
I am getting progress today added 5 more blocks today to my count up to 45 of 50 my guess
as how many it might take.
Yea it feels great to have progress.
Ten more blocks to go so I can check if it's enough and lay them out
for some binding ideas and sizing.
Also at that point I'll be seeing how many more I can make
from what if any is left.

Gma, I always tell myself to quit thinking about things and go to sleep, but sometimes those things just track me down! The tea sounds delicious. I love peach anything and ginger is soothing.
Hoping you come out with a good number to work with, Nancy.
I was blessed today with not having any hand pain, hurray! I finished one side of the wide border of this largest middle section. I did yelp and bring HRH down the hallway to check on me but that was the occupational hazard of getting stuck by a pin.
Quilting progress 27 out of 30 sections: ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓░░░
I'll do this again on the other side, then attach the outer narrow border on top and bottom, then do the bits of hand quilting that I can't figure out how to do by machine. And then the 3 sections will be ready to start going together, which will probably require all kinds of stress relief , lol. Gma, I need to remember soothing tea!!! I'm thinking maybe I can set the card table up in the LR with a chair and work that way for some of it. Last one I made like this I worked crawling around on the floor, but it was smaller and lighter and I'm getting mature enough to think that girl was silly!
