good morning d cathy - thank you for starting us!

Truly thankful to be here!!!

I woke at 5:30 - I actually woke earlier but thought it would be better to snooze again.

I am expecting mom to sleep a lot today bc the furosemide makes her sick - I think it drains her electrolytes etc.
I am now taking videos for the dr. to see - she is great for 2 days - the second day is better just like her old self. the second day of furosemide is always draining for her.

today is errand day - i also need to finish the upstairs bathroom work that I started.
I had to set up an appointment for the shower door that came off its track. it lost a screw that held on the track wheel.

cards pulled - I need to remember to clean off the kitchen table of my cards and other things ,(that I spread out ;), ) every evening .
it is always a joy to be here with you!

I'm thankful I don't have to be out of the house this morning in the rain. A lovely little T storm was bringing gentle. much needed rain when I woke up this morning.

I have my workout this afternoon and HOA board meeting tonight - with the candidates that expressed an interest in being on the board. Thinking we'll be on our own for our supper because meeting is at 6:30.

from yesterday:

Harriet, on the excel sheet we're working from, there are about 190 "family units" which are individuals, couples, families. We're trying to work using zip codes so people will be invited somewhere in their own neighborhood. I got drawn into this by V who lamented the fact that the prez didn't follow through and wanted to do it...

Great LadyM that you can keep DS "employed" and get things done at home while he's unemployed and at loose ends.

I've actually prioritized what's OMM today.
-HOA - answer request for info for closing
-List to lady who agreed to host, texted me last night...
-Landscape contractor for current construction, University needs timeline of completion
-Tree company, one large root ball is still in place, cannot fix gravestones in area until they take it out.
-Write two HOA checks and get ready to mail
-Electricity at cemetery, there are still coiled unused wires left attached to poles - how do we remove? Will they remove?

This is all to do with HOA and cemetery of course. I have a ton of other OMM about home, cemetery, HOA, and what I really want to do which is genealogy. I'm almost sorry I took on the cemetery right now, but the guy who was supposed to be doing it would have gone under this summer between the construction and the tree issues.

I just put ferns from the porch out on the sidewalk, hoping we'll get enough rain to soak them through. They have not been happy this summer. And I need to pick tomatoes. And finish a.m. routine and other stuff.

Things I have done:
-walk the dog
-refilled meds containers
-checked balances of bank accounts (me, cemetery, HOA) and credit cards (me). A desk day job from Tuesday.
-sorted cemetery paperwork that I finally picked up yesterday

Thank you for starting us with Thankfulness, Cathy. And waving to bw2!

Good morning! Thankful to be here, Cathy! It's been a little dodgy, as we all know. I will trust that Harriet's guy really will have it all better by this afternoon.

blessed, it could well be the furosemide messing with electrolytes. At my appointment Monday, my cardiologist switched me over from furosemide and spironolactone to generic Farxiga -- the generic has some really long name I can't remember. He says it's easier on the electrolytes and on the kidneys. The downside is the price; even the generic is about $1 per day, whereas the other two were pennies. I don't know what magic my cardiologist has, but the pills arrived in the mail yesterday, and my appointment was Monday afternoon.

Originally tried posting from the car as DH was driving to his hiking start point. Despite being further along the trail (he will head back to his previous pickup point, so he's covering the next section of the trail, but walking in the opposite direction, if that makes sense), the drive this morning was shorter than the drive this afternoon will be, because the start point was not too far from the highway. The end point is about 5 miles from the nearest highway. DC will come along on the pickup ride, and instead of driving straight home, we will drive them to school; the theater group wants to sort through costumes and props. So glad the driver's test appointment is in less than a week! Of course, even if they could drive themselves, we would still need to do this, or I would have to drive DH's car, which makes me even more nervous than usual. I should leave to get him in about half an hour; I need to light a fire under DC, who seemed awake when last I checked on them but has not shown their face downstairs.

****
Ugh, got another error trying to post this. Will try again before I leave.

Have been on the phone again with the "care" team re: site and difficulties. Things are better than yesterday (their analysis as they navigate) but they have done more for our site today and believe that another 24 hours and things will be fine. (quoting). I'm disappointed that this isn't faster, but they're very knowledgeable, aware of this, explain that it's happening all over.

I haven't lost posts, just had to do over. But copying before hitting submit might be reassuring.

-HOA - answer request for info for closing
-List to lady who agreed to host, texted me last night...I worked on lists, emailed to V, will send lists to hosts soon...

And I realized I needed to eat because I need to head to workout soon. After workout, I need to pick up something at CVS after. I'm hoping I can do the two HOA checks later, but I also need to shower after the workout.

Yes, still seeing issues, almost most resolve with refreshing.

I am able to access this site about once every five tries. It is worth the effort IMHO. :)

I took DH for 4 medical test this morning. Still searching for cause and documenting every detail of his health. After finishing up there we stopped by and got DH his monthly hair cut.

DBro called to wish me "Happy Sister Day". He was quite proud of himself that he knew that was today. :) After I got off the phone call with him, I did a quick search for Happy Sister Day and didn't see it officially listed for today. OHHHHhhhs well.

Last night teenagers activities included changing the wheels and tires on one of our pickups. Now it has BIG tires that stick out from the side of the truck about 6" or so. The tires are so big that turning is a problem because the big tires rub the sidewalls of the pickup. WHY replace perfectly good wheels/tires with these monsters? >>>shrugging shoulders not expecting to understand the way teenager boys think<<<<
