Hello, Helia, Trissie and KitKat!

Helia, I'm glad you had a lovely day yesterday -the museum sounded amazing! Enjoy your last day -your plans of a bakery, a walk and supper sound perfect!

Trissie, you're busy as usual. Did the girls enjoy their camps? Are you off to the cottage tomorrow? (I'm on my phone so scrolling back can be tricky).

KitKat, that sounds like a full, fun few days! All the kitties are well, thank you for asking.

I've done a little.to the house this morning, did a little in the front garden, walked Freddie and got the delicate wash done and hanging up. DH has made spaghetti Bolognese for supper tonight. I'm going to sort out lunch for tomorrow now and bake something, before the kitchen gets too hot.

Hello, all. I am having an easy Saturday morning, listening to my radio shows. I had my first coffee outside before the sun reached my balcony and gamely shivered until my sinuses did their thing. At that point, I admitted defeat and moved inside next to the tissue box.

Thank you Gma and helia. We are very relieved.

Gma, I'm glad that you had a good time at the fair.

Kittykatt, thank you for starting us off. Enjoy your garden!

helia, it's interesting and I guess not surprising that the actual Picasso museum couldn't get his cubist pieces or his blue period pieces. Once an artist's paintings get valued high enough, it must get expensive house them never mind buy them.

trissie, you are making good use of the opportunity of your dkids spreading their wings. They will come home to a clean next. :)

That was no doubt a wise choice, kitkat. You probably got your exercise and more running around after the dgrandkids, but the dog still needed her walk. :)

It is a beautiful cool summer day. Cool enough that I am thinking about firing up the kettle to make a cup of broth.

That sounds like a nice, balanced day, Kittykatt.

Hooray for machines to do the washing and drying for us, trissie. It's been a long wait for the machines to fold and put away...
And also for dads who actually parent. So different from when I was young, and so much better for all involved.

That is sweet how DD33 and Little Bit love each other, L.Ann.

Welcome back, kitkat.

I have made a start. I shall now take my cup of broth and sit out on the balcony. I love how I have it set up right now, and want to enjoy it while we have the good weather.

Saturday

Sat outside on balcony with morning coffee
Heart pill for Germane
Emptied box that was blocking access to walk in closet and collapsed it for recycling
Cleaned up after dog
Checked the laundry room: both washers have an inch or two of water in them again. Left laundry for later, when I feel like going from floor to floor in the elevator with the laundry cart.
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed a couple of basinsful of dishes
Detailed cleaning of breadmaker. This was definitely a case where a stitch in time would have saved nine.
Wiped down accessible surfaces
Quick wipe of kettle, filled/started it
Washed a few more dishes
