The Sunday Scene

Post by Harriet »

How are you setting the scene at your place on Sunday?

Are you looking toward visitors arriving, or travel out for worship, or for meeting needs?

Is there some upcoming plan for the week that needs your attention now, maybe with scheduling?

Or will this be a cucumber-slices on the eyes, feet up, fluffy bathrobe kind of recuperation day?

Hello, everyone

My exercises were done first thing this morning just after making the bed. Finishing my pint of water. Fruit is up next.

Will be getting the dailies done in preparation for service later.

This afternoon I plan to sew. But a mini-Round Robin would not go astray around here... ..

I like the fluffy bathrobe day for anyone not feeling up to par. Take care of yourselves.
Check in if you can.

Or, if you feel fine but need a fluffy bathrobe day, put your feet up!

Today is a birthing day for me, dd is 28.

Thanks for starting us off today Harriet! Happy Birthing Day!

I've been up since 4 a.m. So far I have washed and dried one blanket and the second one is almost finished being washed. The first one is also dried and put back where is goes. Second one should be ready for the dryer shortly.

As usual, there are dishes and pots and pans to be cleaned. Dh decided he wanted fried potatoes and eggs with toast this morning. Now he has gone back to bed. Before he went back to bed he turned on the stereo. There is some awesome music being played this morning.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Happy Birthing day Harriet!

Dh got home around 9:30 last night and was subjected to me trying to sleep and breath at the same time. Parents of baby to be are lesbian couple, dh believed they were adopting (i.e. no one is pregnant there) but I was correct in that one is pregnant. He verified this a.m. - but I had seen nursing supplies on their registry. He is going alone, after protesting that he would stay home if I couldn't go. (Why does he think he can't go alone? He's like this for a lot of occasions that I have no interest in.)

Anyway, he's headed out. If brunch/shower is over at one p.m. (roughly two hours) he might be home by three but I bet he visits awhile too.

I need to walk dog before it gets much hotter. She had me awake before I wanted to be awake, unfortunately.

Good morning

Happy Birthing Day to Harriet!

Today is our DGS20 birthday. He is attending University of Arkansas as a sophomore and is loving life. He is extremely involved in his fraternity leadership & activities which includes a lot of community volunteering & socializing. He maintains a high GPA as a standard he sets for himself. We called him this morning and did our traditional off key birthday song.

I had a difficult night due to pain. I finally found a comfortable position and ended up with 7 hours of sleep. I'll take it!

I'm going to try and remain still today with feet up as much as possible. I keep trying different positions, exercises and movements in hopes that I finally find the combination that makes the nerve pain go away.
