Doc says probably Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome, aka runners knee. Everything otherwise okay. Not going to do blood work, last time was great. BP was fine. Xray of the knee.
I'm back home, dh went out to BJs. Said this a.m. he was going to bowling but he forgot. I rescheduled today's workout to tomorrow at three and told him I'd try to leave the cooties at home...
LadyM, sciatic pain is no joke. Are there any exercises that help relieve it?

Re: Rise up Monday PWYC
CI did a longer walk with a new ish neighbor. I showed her the area veggie stand.
The guy that's a concern that had been in prison.
We saw deer a couple of times with babies.
It's good to get to know the neighborhood.
Got my steps in around 7:00 she wants to wake again and early is okay for her.
I talked to dsis.
Had bfast.
Did journals & qt got those books & planners put away.
Now for my to three
Dump trash before trash day tomorrow.
Dish or 3 needs washed.
Meal plan / Chicken to use.

Re: Rise up Monday PWYC
I've done 4 mini walks this morning which is more than I've been able to do in 5 days.
Talking to myself....see there! You are getting better!
I can get comfortable by positioning my legs up to relieve all pressure on the back (sciatic nerve) and be pain free. But eventually I have to move (bathroom, dh care, etc) and then the pain comes roaring back.
I've watched countless videos how to relieve the sciatic nerve pain and tried several of those exercises. Maybe they are working? it is hard to tell.
I've made a big pot of mac & cheese to go with tuna patties, chicken breast and cheese hamburgers for the family.
I'm enjoying sliced cucumbers in a vinegar/sugar brine, iced coffee protein drink, quest chips, high fiber/protein wrap, crunchy edamame beans, homemade lemon gelatin, chicken & maple sticks almost every day. Add in occasional yogurt bowls, cottage cheese bowl, and scrambled egg bowl until I reach the point of not wanting to eat anymore.

Re: Rise up Monday PWYC
I've been outside a bit and got trash dumped.
Watered in front emptied & refilled water containers in front & back.
Watered back beds & front grass by the tree.
I have a plan for lunch.
Cottage cheese and some yummy local toms.
Waving to everyone.

Re: Rise up Monday PWYC
happy new week - Waving!
I rose up and began with plants this morning. I've been propagating and have started with two varieties of petunias. Well, the bitsy petunias are inside too, now, being nurtured in a window. These are two dainty varieties that haven't been the powerhouses others have been. I'd just like to hang onto them longer, give them an extra chance. If this works (online wisdom says "maybe"), I'll have learned something I might be able to use again.
Also began a crop of sprouts inside.
A phone call from a cousin on my side of the family let us know that an in-law family member on HRH's side has passed away. So, he is on the phone with his dmother now learning about that.
LadyM and Twins', so glad to hear that there is improvement and information.
Ramblin', hoping you are recuperating well, resting up.
Mystery, I had meant to say to you that I was sorry to hear your friend had lost funding for biomedical research and I hope more funding can be found.

Re: Rise up Monday PWYC
happy new week to you too!!!
mom was a stinker and wouldn't take her meds - helper tried - lol mom put her lips together and held her jaw firm - a twinkle in her eye while doing it. then I tried and then stopped for a bit and had d helper go and have time for lunch. I ended up having dd older talk to mom and mom forgot that she was refusing her meds from me - lol she took them. oh my goodness - feisty! She ate breakfast with helper. helper cleaned her toilet - and cleaned up after giving mom a shower - how nice.
I found that even though I have a helper, she loves d mom, but I need to do things where mom is busy doing work -it takes time but it's good for mom. today mom helped me separate her laundry - she would stop and space out for a second but then I helped her get back to it. I gave her spot stuff and she used a brush to clean the spots and then tide - she did it beautifully and stayed with it until it was just right. She has always been great at getting spots out.
I ordered two repair people to come out - one for the washer and one for the microwave. 24th and 25th
I did some more cabinet front washing. I need to stop and put the card to the next day. (I didn't think it would take as long as it did).
dogs have been out - I need to check Gracies paw
furnace guy has come and gone - winter check is done
filters have been replaced.
fence guy is coming out tomorrow and I will put down a deposit.
next: late lunch
then finish weekly work for laundry room and kitchen - I don't wanna

Re: Rise up Monday PWYC
finished - the best I could but still needs work - the back tiles on one side - by stove and right and left side. moved things off counter in this area a gave it a good scrubbing. cleaned the toaster and the top of the stove. cleaned under the cabinets in that area. I can't do anymore - it was too big of a job.
it looks like this will be a whole week job.
I had planned on doing the floor trim but it can't happen today.
For another day: the cabinet fronts above the fridge, cabinets 1 - 2 above the sink area on that side. clean light above the sink, clean al the tiles on that side of the sink and counters. clean under the cabinets.
another day again: clean the cabinets on stove side and floor trim under cabinets
clean the cabinets near sink and under long counters 4 cabinets plus cabinets in front of sink underneath -
clean the cabinet and counter where phone used to be top and bottom and floor trim.
way too much for one day. I don't know how people do it all
I will make these cards like they were swish and swipe so it doesn't get as bad as it had

Re: Rise up Monday PWYC
I have been inside tree removal was up the street then the rotor rooter pumper truck was across the street.
So inside was what I focused on lunch & then did up some dishes that were in the sink.
More trash to go. I have one more box to cut down and consider.
A chair that wore out.
Did some knitting.
It's warming up again outside.
s2s happened after dinner.
at a bit after 7 it's still 87* dang muggy too.

Re: Rise up Monday PWYC
Home from a good appt with DD15 counselor. The counselor was astonished how immediate and through the school principal & teachers responded to DD15 & "mean boys" incident. I didn't realize until later that after the principal left our home that evening, she went to 6 other homes to interview and investigate the "mean boys" and their parents. I couldn't be more pleased with the support that DD15 received from the school.
After DS18 and Fiancée16 arrived home, he came and talked with us for over an hour. I treasure these moments.
I continue to be in pain but either I am becoming accustomed to it or maybe the pain is decreasing. I know when I move it is going to hurt but I move anyway and just breathe through the pain.
