clear your mind Sunday August 23, 2026

Post by blessedw2 »

All week long we are busy working, thinking and acting on what we need to do but Sunday - Sunday is ours (or it should be)! It's so easy to work every day but we need to take a day off. (Take time for family, take time for things you love to do) Clear your mind today! if you write down what's on your mind that can be handled and planned for another day then you can be free the rest of the day!

how will you take back this day for you!

What are you grateful for today?
clear your mind and your soul!
it is always a joy to be here with you!

mom has a bad cold and she looked awful yesterday late afternoon and evening. it's amazing how fast her system is affected - she had her furosemide yesterday but it was necessary - praying she feels better today. I am shocked on how great she is and suddenly becomes very unhealthy in a day.
I sat with her the rest of the afternoon and evening.

I was proud of figuring out my card file for projects

Oh, bw2, so very sorry your mom is feeling poorly today. Hoping for a quick turnaround on this little decline.

Dh left at 9 this a.m. for bowling today out of town. I think he said home maybe 6 or 7 pm? So I have a quiet day, and a quiet week ahead.

I need to reset by doing some creative stuff and planning for the week!

Good morning

(((Group Hugs))) to those who are not feeling well.

With the start of school, the bacteria/virus germs are showing up right on schedule. What is going around in our little corner of the world now is sore throat and fever. DD15 is the first in our family to get it.

We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly attending early church service this morning. My heart is full.

I prepared a mishmash of dishes this morning. Part of the selection was to get some things out of the freezer. The other part of the selection was just because it sounded good to me.
** Mini Taco's
** Hash brown patties
** Queso Chicken mac and cheese
** 6 Cheeseburgers topped with hot links, bacon and/or Canadian bacon
** Big bowl of cranberry jello
** cucumbers & celery in a sweet/sour sugar/vinegar mixture

I have been on a walk.
Did get up a bit early just the right amount of time.
I am working with the notes from the workshop and getting
those in one of my planners is my current project.
I've had bfast.
I could water the beds.
Last evening I watered after dark with a flash light.

Waving to all wishing you a restful day.
I did my reflection Sea Shell Journal this morning.

mom was happy when she woke up - she is like the energizer bunny - she is not sick like yesterday - but still tired and what a pistol she is with me - dd older got her up and mom was all sunshine and roses :D then for me:- 8-)
She is back in bed now: 11:40 am. (she was falling asleep.)

the good: she cracked and scrambled her eggs, she cut her own apples, she took her meds, sat with dd older talking for an hour and myself.
she helped with her clean shirt, and washing up. (dd older). she used walker to kitchen table - still weak.

-----------------------
I have the young man here to help with the garden,
we are still trying to pass the city's permit - for around moms new room - it's been ridiculous stuff.
dd older made a card for mom's dailies- she isn't a card person but likes it for me and mom - she liked the cards I made up for extra curricular ideas for mom.
I washed dishes
dd older dried moms laundry from yesterday.
wrote out birthday cards for September -

next: pull insurance and work on that

I am better today and am eating or will eat normal things. Fruit breakfast. Preparing a lunch at the stove of my own good ingredients. Cutting up a new red onion that looks good. The sprouts are chilled.

The service was thought-provoking this morning. I know this because I had to keep increasing the volume since HRH kept talking over the points made. (smile - that's why I'm happy it can be played again) The announcements were a bit of a revelation. Fall activities and studies. Makes me pensive about not having much of a go-ahead from drs yet, but also because I myself wonder whether I want to join in, which requires some extra thinking.

I'm glad blessed dmother awakened with more interest in the day and feeling better.

Nancy, I have definitely watered outside with a flashlight - I think it starts happening to us this time of year because little by little the days are getting shorter and we're a bit surprised by earlier dusk.

LadyM, yes, bacteria and germs from schools and workplaces, too, of course. Something to think about. Your fun with cooking is inspiring.

Yay for Twins' Dad having a fun outing today. Hope he comes home happy and finds Twins' quite happy, too.

Forgot to mention we saw some deer today two big bucks in the field
a fawn and a doe on a diff. street that we walked on.
Got to see the pink sun rise.

My 2 min. to get started task today was clear of the part of the counter
where I drain the dishes, then I did the dishes & cleaned one of the double sinks.
That was from the e-mail I course I signed up for from the link the other day twins posted thanks!

Got my burgundy planner ordered.
Cut out more pages I"LL get refill pages next time.
Used that card up!

Watered in the day time this morning and munched on fresh cherry toms.
Lunch I figured out some thing great to do with deli sliced roast beef with a soft tortilla shell 1 slice of cheese
too is great for an easy lunch for me or dinner.
