Try, try and try again Tuesday!!

Post by CathyS »

Once again, I am trying to post. Will it finally work? Will it be a TA DA!! or "We're sorry, try again" ?

WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!

Here I am because I kept trying and trying to get in! YAY! 33rd or 44th time, I lost count...

What are you trying to get done today? We have a visit from the gas company at some point today and they have requested that "someone over the age of 18" be in the home. How about a 66 year old man or a 64 year old woman? They are replacing gas meters free of charge, other than putting aside any plans we may have made. (Not that we had any, but dh is fussing about getting his shower with the PSW. She is coming more than an hour before the gas company's 4 hour window.)

Book names? I have a list of suggestions and I won't know until I finish the spine of each book which titles I will feel the urge to use. Thank you all for your suggestions.

UP in the nite doze off a bit I think.
Finally got up and have done journaling & put the trash out.
Vacuumed my bedroom the zone work focus this week.
Emptied out of drawer of summer things I did not wear / might need to de-clutter them.
Got the vacuum canister emptied out & that's out at the curb.

Next up:
Move winter items in to the drawer I just emptied.
Wash hair
duds

OMM check on Rx before heading out this week.
Glad I've been keeping up on the zones I did last week that's helped yea!

Good morning, Cathy and Nancy.

Cathy, what a good title. Have fun with the creative task of choosing book titles for your embroidery. I can imagine that will mean a smile for you many times in the future.

Nancy, for some reason I got a good night's sleep and my reasonably-smart watch wants me to know it was impressed. Why? Not eating anything for hours before bed, after possibly having an almost too-large meal before dark? That's all I can think of.

Today I am waiting for callbacks from two directions re: slowness and difficulty on our site.

Next up is starting the laundry load I set out yesterday - some linens. A few drip-dries are to be put away now.

Brunch will be a tofu scramble with the new sprouts and abundant mushrooms, lol, among other additions. Morning fruit first is probably the last kiwi.

Baby is just super comfy in there I guess.

Good morning

My normal morning had a huge blooper that stressed me out, but here we are a couple hours later and all seems to be settling down. DS18 experienced a vehicle owie this morning. This is what happens when sun is in your eyes and you don't see a light pole in parking lot. I have all kinds of emotions over this, but ultimately I am thankful. It could have been so much worse.

Good morning! Running a little late this morning, as I got to bed late last night. I am learning more and more that I need those 8 hours of sleep. I need to tweak my alarms to accommodate my nighttime routine.

So good to see Cathy! Sounds like you had more difficulty getting in than most of us.

Hello also to Nancy, Harriet, Lauralind, LadyM, and all who come after!

I have gotten my morning routine done; breakfast is made, eaten, and cleaned up. I was hoping to watch my late-night show with breakfast, but it looks like Seth isn't back yet. (Not particularly fond of either of the Jimmys.)

I spent money yesterday that in retrospect, I probably wasted. To be able to back up my phone to my computer, I needed to update the computer's OS, but the version of Word I have was said to be incompatible with the new OS. I wanted to back up the computer before updating, and I managed to find my backup drive, but none of the cables. So I went to the computer store and got new cables and a key for a new copy of Word. Well, it took forever for the computer to recognize the drive, and then it wouldn't back up because the battery was too low. I plugged in the computer, but it still refused. So I waited for the computer to get back to full charge to see if that would do it. Then it gave a message about the disk not being ejected properly, and try as I might (including rebooting everything), I couldn't get the computer to recognize the drive again, so I bit the bullet and installed the new OS without backing up. It seemed to go well -- and my extant copy of Word doesn't seem to have a problem with it, but I already scratched off the key, so I can't return it.

Nothing on the agenda for today, nor for tomorrow. I'm going to call the dentist and ask to be put on a waitlist if they have a cancellation. The tooth is starting to hurt, and my mouth tastes like a sewer. Maybe they will prescribe antibiotics, I don't know.

So I think that will be next up. Following that, I will try to figure out dinner, then get some wash started and fold yesterday's wash, which I did not forget in the washer again! It seemed to smell decent when I pulled it out.

Have a great day, everybody, and I hope all those who want to get in can.

Information for troubleshooters.....Each time I come here it takes at least a dozen refreshes to the browser to get past the 503 error. For me, compared to the past couple of days it is getting worse instead of better.
However, if I am persistent - eventually the SHE villiage appears.

I have added rating my stress level each time that I make an entry to Interstitial journal. I am keeping it VERY basic and quick by adding a dot to acknowledge my feelings. There are 4 choices - Low, Medium, high, or off the chart.

Potatoes are in the instant pot. Serving meals is so much easier when there are basic ingredients prepped & ready to be used.

Resource Limit Is Reached
The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later.
I don't know if this is progress, but this error is showing up now instead of the 503.
Adjusting my information after several more refreshes.
Make that in addition to the 503 error.

Potoatoes are done. 1/4 of them were used to make mashed potatoes for today. Over the next couple of days the rest will be used as the basic ingredient in fried potatoes/onions/peppers and as potato salad.
A big pot of mac & cheese made. It is a family favor and no matter how frequently it shows up, they will eat it immediately.
There are 4 choices of meat ready to eat along with 4 vegetables. I'm not cooking anything else today.

* sending a dot to Twins to rate her stress level. :) Low, medium, high or off the chart?

I do find acknowledging & recording my stress rating interesting to watch over time. Earlier today I started out low, then the wreck happened and it zoomed to off-the-chart rating. As the hours pass, my stress level is coming down. After spending time in the kitchen doing normal things I enjoy, my stress rating has returned to low.
