Blessed: There are instructions in the Tips, Hints, How-tos section of the board.

Basically you have to take your picture and make it small (80 pixels by 80 pixels). Then you upload it as your avatar until the User Control Panel section.

Instructions on using MS Paint to resize pictures and the User Control Panel are in the Tips section of the board.

The morning is moving fairly well.

I've got my coats mended, the laundry hung up and a cheque ready to mail so that's three of the first six high-priority items.

I also have to make two phone calls and then write an article for the church newsletter (about 60% done.) Then I'll consider the morning done.

I talked on the phone with my music friend. Turns out she just didn't feel like going out on Saturday so that's why she missed the church supper. I told her our former minister is coming. She is doing badly on the two pieces she is to play for the concert so I felt she needed a heads up or she'd fall apart for sure. She can't come to practice but had a practice yesterday for the duet and it went badly according to the others, fine except for page turning according to her. Sigh.... They'll practice again tonight and decide go/nogo on the piece (the programs are being printed tomorrow.) I know the singers want to go ahead with this, using my musician so I may end up caught in the middle of this. She kept giving excuses but all of them had to do with her not being prepared (music wasn't hole-punched so would page turn, and now it will be easier if she copies out the repeat section so she doesn't have to page turn.) I feel if she was practicing this at home, she would have already encountered and overcome these problems so it is obvious to me she isn't putting the effort into the piece so shouldn't get to play.

OK, I'm waving the magic wand and putting all that out of my head until tomorrow night.

Nancy, I have a plaid bib apron that looks Christmasy. It is fun to start thinking about little meaningful things this time of year.

Kathryn, the Cul-De-Sac comic today made me think of your struggles - little girl can never chew her mother's Thanksgiving turkey and thinks wearing her Halloween fangs might help this year. Brother says, "makes sense to me".

Also the Lio comic today (and I don't even care for Lio) is poignant.

I got the bedroom and hallway vacuumed, spending 5 mins and checking, 5 mins and checking. Load of HRH's tee and sweats are tumbling.

Good Morning Dear Ladies,

We've got rain here. If it isn't an out and out downpour there is a heavy mist in the air. Good day to concentrate on the inside of the house.

Got up early today and sent DH and two sons on their way for an out of town job for them. They should be gone most of the day. So except for Dbrother, the house is mine. Have done the dishes, need to get a load of laundry going, clean bathrooms, floors, yada, yada, yada.

Harriet, hope your day gets better for you with your DDad.

I went and looked up the Target petition about working on Thanksgiving. I don't really think much will change. As long as stores have these sales, and people show up for them, then they will continue. WM is having their usual day workers come in at 8 o'clock Thanksgiving night and work until 8 o'clock the next morning. I managed to avoid the overnight shift by pointing out that my availability ends at 10:00 at night so I'm getting off then.

Since Target is starting their sales at midnight, WM had to one-up and start their sale at 10:00 p.m.

Off to the adventures!

Exciting news - ds just called and is good coming home today so I am making a flying trip to ATL to pick him up. Game plan is to leave here late this afternoon and I think I can get there around seven p.m. - hopefully a little later than the worst of the evening rush hour. His best friend Z will be home tomorrow so they will have a little time before we drag him off to NC for Thanksgiving. And dd has a possible ride home tomorrow with a guy who lives in this neighborhood that is there - she would have to skip a Tuesday night class but could get home tomorrow and we wouldn't have to worry about the timing of departure on Wednesday. (I was thinking if worst came to worst, we could meet her ride near the edge of town where they leave, and leave for NC from there....)

(((((Indiana))))) I'm sure you'll embrace the change positively and work your magical attitude to help heal yourself.

I've finished the article I had on my to-do list and wrote another. Phoned and booked the backup resort for our summer holiday. They have heard that White Point won't reopen until after our reservation and were surprised that I hadn't heard from the resort yet. I figure they have thousands of reservations to deal with (and remember their reservation computers were destroyed because they were in the lodge) so am waiting patiently to hear but now will be expecting 'bad' news.

In the meantime, I've got our backup holiday plans in place and am feeling that we'll have a good time at the new place.

The beach cam is turned back on and I caught up with some of the news from the FB page. The sun is directly on the camera at this moment so I can't see if the lodge ruins are in the shot or if they've redirected the camera more onto the beach. I'll check it in another 30 minutes or so.

One more phone call to make and then I can move onto the rest of my day's chores.

I am working my fingers typing. You may see short notes.

I called in when I was coherent to give an update to our concierge. I always began the conversation with I would like to order dinner. The answer was always NO we don't deliver to the hospital. Finally my first night home I got an OK. Dinner never tasted so good. They even put it on regular plates instead of plastic to-go containers.

Losing finger power....

((((Indiana)))) Bless your heart. Changes are challenging, but if there is anyone that can do it .....it is you! It is so wonderful to have you CI'ing in again! Your sense of humor is brilliantly shining!

Been making steady progress this morning with my "helper" by my side every step of the way. :) We have completed 64 cards together. We went to the bank, dollar store and MPB to complete a few chores there and then back home in time for Great Gma to bring LO some of her home made waffles. He loves her waffles and she loves her cooking being appreciated. It is a win-win! :D

Picked some fresh lettuce, mixed greens and radishes from the garden and enjoyed them for lunch. I am getting totally spoiled to having fresh vegetables (although limited in variety) each day from the garden.

Have prepared Thanksgiving cards for the doctors & staff that we depend on to take care of our medical needs. Will be mailing them later today.

Just did a three-fer: Walked to the store for the mail, bringing in the garbage cans on the way home. So exercise, mail and cans are done! Did the water plants before I left so that's another done. Still lots to do but progress with each hour.

Next challenge is to clean out my purse.
