Yes, a marvelous Monday, OKay! Doing clean up for cleaning lady here. Leave at 10 a.m. for dr visit. I also need to go by hospital for a chest X-ray (for the surgical oncologist who took melanoma last summer, in prep for an appt later this month) and today might be a good day to do it.
This and next week are busy. I have dr appts with dmom on Wed and Thursday, and also get blood drawn on Wednesday afternoon for the HRT practitioner, which whom I also have an appointment later this month. Friday I have another full day of CPE which my CPA firm is putting on. Also, at some point this week I will need to make a K-town trip to get dd and her crew home for winter break. (Dorms close at 5 p.m. on Friday.)
Next week I leave late on Tuesday or very early on Wednesday for a conference in Washington D.C. as a representative of the temple. That will run through Sunday Dec. 18. I need to figure out clothes to take and whether I want to purchase anything (a suit that fits for services, which are dressy?) and probably have some pants hemmed, as I am swearing off heels.
DS's exams run Dec 12 - 16 so dh may have to make a trip to ATL to get him while I'm away.
Oy, I can't believe it's already 8:15....must get going.

I'm starting the day without doing my light therapy.
I'm starting my day in a rush.
Doesn't sound like a good start to the day or the week, does it?!
Perspective is all.
I'm skipping my routines so I can get out the door to take my friend to the first of 30 treatments at the hospital. The home support for seniors couldn't arrange drivers fast enough (this prescription came from the doctor on Friday) so I'll do the Monday and Wednesday drive this week.
I give thanks that I'm free to do the driving, I have a reliable car and that she got up the nerve to ask (I've offered before but she's really independent.)
So, while it doesn't look like today will be productive or healthy, my abandoning my routines is for a very good cause.
While on the topic of giving thanks for dd's god-mother and god-sister since it is their birthday's today. They are both wonderful people and I'm blessed to have them in my life.
First up at 8 am is working with the Park Beautification to finish cleaning the ditch and planting some plants in the bed in front of the Club house.
Then at 10 we will sit in on the Board meeting just to see how it goes. We don't expect to have any input as we are too new to the park.
Then lunch at Subway and stop off at H4H to measure a desk that we saw there on Saturday. If it is the dimensions I think we will bring that home to finish the furniture in the den.
After that I think I will collapse. We have dinner of pork steak on the grill and asparagus planned for tonight. I don't think I will cook the asparagus on the grill but will steam it in the microwave. We seem to like that flavor best.
I will probably spend most of my time in the evening arranging things in the new desk if we get it.
Anyway --- that's the plan.
Hope you all have a marvelous Monday at your house.

Good luck everybody with your day today. OKay thank you for the cheery opening, your optimism is contagious.
I have a LOL outside hanging, and other than that I've been on the phone with DH solving his problems.
DD fell last eve. while she was working, she fell about 4' and says she is ok except for bruises. I called her to make sure she was ok after sleeping.
On my list today:
errands out; bank and tag office. Must call ins. office before I leave for a number.
Some weeding outside.
Rake a cart full of weeds. I'm going to get 1 cart load out every day if I can.
Big house cleanup.
Another LOL done and huing up
Take bag of grapefruit to tenant (he's disappointed the tree over there didn't produce much and he's been fertilizing and he pruned) so I'm sharing our tree with them.
stop at post office to mail pkg. Must get that wrapped ready to go.
Back from the hospital run. It is 43 miles round trip and I just sit in the parking lot in a no-parking zone and wait for her to come out (20 minutes from the time she left the car until she's into it again - most of that time is spent undressing and dressing.)
Hit the grocery store for a green pepper on the way home.
Done so far:
- most of a.m. routine
- took dinner out of the freezer (frozen chicken tetrazzini I made about a month ago)
- took dd13 to school
- picked her up again at 9 for dermo appt.
- dermo appt.; dropped her off at 10:40-ish
- sent out emails trying to locate one of my Heb. textbooks that I wanted to consult this a.m. and couldn't find. The final is in 2 days
- took call from dh who does not need to do jury duty this week
- ordered a new heb. textbook to arrive tomorrow
- heard back from prof who said he found it in the classroom and left it in the dept. office
- called the office to confirm the book was there as well as office hours
Next:
- see if I can cancel Heb. textbook order
-finish groc. list
- groc. store
-pick up Heb. book
- lots of studying for Heb exam
Marvelously beautiful out today. Six inches of snow at my house. I have no snow shovel!!! The roads, not so marvelous, but I made it to work. Before I go home (which will be early as temperatures will not rise), I need to go to XDH's house and borrow a snow shovel so I can get into my garage. I have never in my life shoveled snow, I hope it is not too hard. At least I know what I am having for dinner - leftover chicken and rice. I don't know what I am having for lunch, it depends on what roads are open.
