Good morning! Have been tidying up in almost every room today. When I'm away from the house a lot flat surfaces around here become a magnet for paper & piles & stuff.

I'm done with Christmas shopping, & even have 3 gifts for 2012 birthdays :D ! I had been thinking of getting oldest dniece a jewelry box & then got a flyer from Km*rt that theirs were half price this week. They were so nice that I bought one for both older nieces. They had several styles & colors to choose from. I completely unpacked them to check for any damage when I got home but they were packed well & are beautiful.

Hit the post office yesterday at just the right time after lunch with dfriend -- only had two people ahead of me. Bought Christmas stamps & finally mailed our cards out. Had started writing them a while ago but never finished. It feels good to have that task done.

Next up is to clear off the attic table so I can begin wrapping presents. I'm getting resigned to the fact that even though I want to keep this table cleared off all the time, it just doesn't happen consistently. It really is a dump & run spot, but at least it is out of sight. There are several Christmas decorations on it that I decided not to use this year; must remember to bring some boxes up with me to put those in. Still have two boxes of books up there that I wanted to sell at the half price book store. Not sure if they are still in business; it has been at least three years since I was there last.

I'm going to finish drinking my tea & cuop for the last couple of days, then continue frolicing!

I slept well last night going to bed was a good idea after all so glad I have a better perspective today.

H. has to work this afternoon at the job site I"m going to send the ugly cookies with him and the guys will help them to disappear. I'm looking forward to some more solitude.

Sheet washing day here and weekly cards need attn.

I skipped exercises this morning in order to keep moving once I got out of bed.

Dd and ds were both written, dd has written back so that issue is resolved. Ds hasn't written back but responded positively to my FB request that we decorate the tree together on the 24th.

I wrapped the Angel gifts and they are at the back door to take to the store this morning. The dh's and the kids' presents have been looked at, deemed insufficient, and then tucked away. I remembered what I planned to buy dh, must add it to my 'brain notebook' since I've forgotten it three times already. His other gift is waiting for me to pick up in NY, so am waiting for word from ds to see if he wants to come with me.

I've not done any weekly housework this week so went over the list from Monday and have shifted all that must be done to today's list and deleted the rest. No zone work has been done for two weeks now, nor will it be.

I still have a long list of other things to do but some process has been made. As I wrote on FB:

One step at a time. One step at a time. Too bad there are more steps than time.....

Oh, darn, Helia -I used to have that problem with antibiotics too. Then the Dr prescribed one that DIDN't cause the yeast infection -but do you think I can remember what it was!

Still waiting for gal to call me back from Med Co -hoping she does. Tried all morning to get her. I do have enough of this med to get me through better than a couple of weeks, but knowing them as I do, it may take even longer to get it straightened around! :?

Been emailing with the daunt of our dgs (sister of ddShelley's Ex). He is very obviously going through a turbulent time -a lot of his own making. Am really re-thinking giving him money for Christmas. He's such a smart kid and has been through so much in his young life -just hard to see him being so naive and making some of the life choices he's doing right now. His aunt is our "deacon" at church and understands the concerns. Did tell me that they all will be 'talking' with him at her Mom's birthday gathering on Sunday -I'll be praying. DD does have $$ in the state's retirement system that is rightfully his now that he's 18, but we don't plan to even tell him it's there right now. Afraid he'd just blow it.

Guess I'd better 'frolic' with our annual letter and get that done before it's too late to mail.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Hi everyone. Sending some healthy breezes to helia and Dee oh, and Kathryn (how's the jaw?) and Indiana (looking forward to reading what you've been up to also).

I am puttering around, but it feels more like work! I have cleaned out refrigerator and wiped shelves, made iced tea and got sodas in to chill, sent DH to the store. He's been 2 hours for 6 things...and I'm waiting to finish my cooking.

Polished all the stainless steel. Potholders soaking in bleach water. Gee all this stuff takes a lot of time doesn't it.

Our Frolic will be at dinner time when everybody arrives. I've already fielded 3 phone calls about it all. BBL

Harmony: the jaw is behaving well these past few days. It is definitely stress related. I'm not testing it too much but I am eating 'nuts and bolts' and they are going down too easily!

More minor progress made - a few emails dealt with and my hymn book and bible 'loaded' for church. I'm doing some of the reading this week so have been going over the readings. The one from Romans was a 78 word sentence (over three verses.) It took a while to find a comprehensible translation but I finally did (and checked with the minister to make sure it was ok to use that translation.)

I'm hungry so should eat. Just remembered I need eggs. Somehow we went from having too many to not enough. Ran out of butter too.

Good morning Ladies,

We have sunshine! But cool temps.

Sending hugs to (((LucyLee))). Have Read Joys and Concerns. Will be praying for your DDad and Dmom.

We have a plumbing problem here which DH is working on. Glad I married Mr. Fix-it. But no water right now for shower.

Going to surf the web and do some other non water things.

Have a great Friday all!

When I saw frolic this morning I thought of frolicking in a meadow and then Tiny Tim singing "Tip Toe Through the Tulips".

It is another great day here.

MT - I'm excited for your Christmas gift arrival!! i used kitchenaid to make pizza dough for me this morning while I was focusing on cooking breakfast. lt felt like I had a helper in the kitchen. :)

DBro#2 dropped by for a visit and stayed...stayed....stayed. That fella sure does love to talk. :D It was good to catch up on his family happenings.

Lunch turned out excellent. I have plans for improvement (to get the bottom of pizza dough a little browner) but am overall pleased with my efforts.

Dinner will be something easy. I picked a half dozen turnips from the garden today so I might find a recipe to use those in. DH will attend a Christmas party tonight so he will eat there. I'm suppose to attend, but I'm planning on playing hooky and staying home with LO.

88 cards completed today! WhoooHOOO!!!
