Make yourself happy Thursday

Wow, quiet morning in the village - perhaps some are sleeping in and others hard at work already. I was up really, really early with ddogs and then went back to bed for a while. I'm so happy to have a four day weekend this week (by working yesterday instead of today) but I do need to go to the office for about an hour this afternoon for a webinar that the tax dept is to watch. The forecast is for dropping temps and snow showers later but I don't think it will move in quickly enough that I can use it as an excuse to not go!

So plan for today is some routines, some time out of the house (pick up dry cleaning and a script also, and take new pharmacy card along.) Dh and I are going to go out to eat on the mountain tonight - weather permitting...

Good Morning All.

Sorry, as I don't think I even got here yesterday. We were up early and off to Cardio Dr. for DH. Of course, he ordered more tests - some of which we were able to get in yesterday. Then we went to late lunch and grocery shopping. By the time we got home and got the groceries put away - I was pooped. So took a nap in my chair.

After dinner, we watched a bit of TV and made lists of what we need to get done in the next two days to get ready to travel. I think we hit the bed about 9.

The new bed is working out well. The first night I was sleeping in my fleece sleep shirt as I had been doing in the chair, but with the covers on the bed I was too hot so didn't sleep well. Last night I wore a summer sleep shirt and slept so well that I was stiff this morning - I don't think I moved all night. Hopefully, tonight everything will be JUST RIGHT!!!

Time to start moving to get things moved to the RV. We will be in Q for about a week but will leave the RV at our lot to save gas driving it back and forth.

I will check in later.

I like today's quote Twins. It has a lot of truth.

I am patiently waiting for the snow to start. We may get 6-8".

I am taking care of whatever I need to do by noon so I can watch the snow and knit.

I'm up...and that's about it so far. When I struggled out of bed (the critters wanted me to stay put!) and down the stairs, DH had already let the dogs out, and DS had put food in the cats' bowls! :o Of course, these facts did nothing to deter my furry entourage from escorting me to the coffee pot and complaining about I'm not sure what..LOL

Today is a late day for me, and my last day before 5 days off. Of course, two of the five are already quite booked up *sigh*. Since I've got some time before work, I may as well try to get a few things done...heaven knows I won't feel like it when I get home later! There's all the usual critter care, and I'd really like to get those kittycat pads sewn up. Just leaving them stacked on the table is an open invitation to all and sundry to knock them over and take a nap (which they do several times daily  )

Alright...MUST get moving here..I've managed to spend enough time in unproductive puttering that I only have an hour left before I have to get ready for work!

Haven't been here myself because today is vehicle inspection day for our family, at the service place a half-mile from ds26's fire dept. Ds26 was here before 6:30 a.m. and took my car, left his truck in our driveway, started a 24-shift. By 9:30 I had picked up my car, leaving our truck at service place. Next it will be HRH's turn, as he drops off Explorer and picks up truck, then I will drop off ds' truck (sigh - big strange-to-me vehicle) and pick up Explorer (hoping I can do it on school run), and then ds will leave work after his 24-shift in his own truck.

With extra morning time on the road, etc., I haven't been on schedule, so it's time to buckle down.

Yes, the sunshine is so beautiful right now, but then we lose it later. HRH said he heard today's weather here will be like summer AND like winter depending upon the hour. Yikes. That's when people get sick in my experience - when there's a fast, dramatic change.

Good morning all! Yesterday, I did decide to eat dinner at church. Their chicken fried steak was actually good. Previous meals I have had of this were inferior meats disguised by the breading. Then, I came home to the 'someone else has cleaned my house' smell. AAHHH! I thought I was doomed to have a catbox smell when I got home, but they got rid of it. I need a day I can just sleep, but I don't know when/how that will be. I did get the camera software installed on the computer, but can only get to 4 pictures! Decided to work on that later. Today, XDH and I go to the bank to do some house paperwork. I should be getting my money from the house soon. After that and getting my share of some stock, we should be square. We were 8 years from paying off the house. The house would be paid off the same year that DD would start college. Now I am back at square 1 and I don't know (and it's none of my biz) where he is. I do know his house payment is more than mine. Of course his house is twice the size of mine too. I really would like to sleep. It's funny how much of an effect the caffeine earlier this week has disturbed my rest.

We are under a weather warning and it is relentless freezing rain at this point. The window beside my desk is encased in ice and the ticking of the ice on the window makes me feel even colder.

I got up late and then my sister called so my day has been off to a pathetic start. I also have an eye inflammation (which is why I was so slow to get out of bed.) It's the first eye inflammation in ages which is a good thing but my meds expired, which is bad (plus I can't get out to buy more, even if I do have a refill on my prescriptions, which isn't a given.)

One plus to eye inflammations is that reading and tv watching are out but it feels better when I do house work. So I might get going on that in a bit.
