Kathryn, a BIG part of what's best for the member will be that she needs to feel she has been kind to her fellow members. How is she going to feel if she throws everyone into that minefield with unnecessarily sudden actions - she needs to act in a mature way. Possibly you could request that she separate the two moves calendar-wise for the sake of the membership? Quit the job now and don't take another - that's how she's being led, and that's valid. But give the much bigger (it's really big) decision of switching churches a little more time? If her reason for switching is just better music, surely that's not urgent enough to hurt feelings in her current church more than necessary.

Lilac, dress warmly! About one or two weeks from now, :D , maybe you could ask dd2 what she's taking for PMS symptoms. My gynocologist had some very specific prescriptions (lifestyle and supplements) for me back when she diagnosed me, and I was greatly helped. Dd2 needs to ask for a clear medical explanation of how PMS is physically causing her mood to shift, and come to grips with the facts that that's not good for her, it's not her fault, and she can gain some control.

Meant to thank lucylee for checking in with us so calmly this a.m. I read here before I read news reports, and things sounded pretty scary - so I was glad I knew your community is okay.

Good morning everyone! I got in a little earlier than I have been lately, not great, but progress. I have already called about a prescription for DCat18 and gotten the name of a pet sitter. I need to call my travel agent and find out what my dates are and when I have to overnight in ATL. Sometime i need to get visas for Russia and for Estonia. I also have to handle a change of address for some investments. I'd like to be napping, but it's not going to happen. I have a dentist appointment today, fun. Yesterday I took an adoption application for one of our harder to place cats, so pray that goes through. I just found out that there may be a very inconveniently timed and placed meeting for me. YIKES!!! I so hope they don't have it.

I agree with what Harriet said!

I got a call that dgd read her schedule and I have granny duty in a few so I've been scrambling
thinking I had the day off I slept in. BS is up just a bit today. Coffee is going. H. is up. He has to call tonight to see if he goes in for jury duty on Tues.

We have fog here today, the grass is starting to reappear now that the snow levels are receding.

I need to think about the floors upstairs I have set the vacuum out in plain sight in the living room so I won't forget.

My simple address change has become a nightmare. Apparently the company handling my profit sharing account thinks I am still with my previous employer! They can't change my address until they hear from HR at a company I am not with. I have called them to see if they can fix things. I got a W2 from this previous employer, not for a lot of money. I am hoping that I have not received money I am not entitled to. I CAN pay it back if I need to, but WHAT a pain in the BUTT.

DH announce this morning - NO MORE CARBS for me. Of course, he didn't really mean NO more, but he wants to return to very limited carbs. His BS and weight have both gone up since we started eating carbs - even though we have been eating correct portions. His body just isn't handling carbs. Soooo - my meal planning needs to be adjusted. I had already planned to make enchilada casserole today. I'm using low carb tortillas so i continued on with this meal. I need to rethink some of the upcoming meals on the menu plan, but it just takes a little tweaking and not a major overhaul.

OKay, so sorry LO is still sick. How are you feeling today? Also, that's tough with DH's diet. I can't imagine.

Yesterday I had some episode of something. Maybe it was a low blood sugar and I didn't recognize it, or maybe it was just a delayed symptom from all the yard work the day before. Anyway, I hit a wall about 3:30 and crawled into bed and slept like I was in a coma. Ate some dinner about 5 (thankfully I'd loaded the crock pot earlier) and went back to sleep. About 7:30 I forced myself to get up. I don't know what it was all about, but I'm feeling ok today.

Today so far I've cleaned up my desk chores, went out with DH to bank, county office, and jobsite. When I got home I hung up bed linens which were washing while I was out. I'm going off to sew a bit.

Kathryn, do you need to address your church friend's problems with whatever work she's doing at the other church so she doesn't transfer those problems into your church if she switches?

Also, reading some things here, I've been reminded I need to check on annual report as that will be my job for the Deaconesses...I don't know if it's been done this year so far.

My suggestions for Kathryn and OKay.

Yes they are two separate things. Why do you need to guide her in a direction? Can't she be guided to make a decision my considering x, y, z?

OKay I have found some carbs will do the same to me but not all carbs. By removing them like you are doing would help to add one back at a time with several days between additions. that way the offending carb can be dropped.

Gentle ((LO)). It's not fun to be sick. I hope he gets better soon.

((Elizabeth)) That does sound like a pain. I hope it gets straightened out quickly and with minimal additional work on your part.

Hello everyone!

I am taking my lunch break, eating some soup and salad. I didn't really eat bfast today. I wasn't hungry b/c I ate so much yesterday.

Yesterday was good but exhausting. Church, lunch at our house immediately following for the missionary - we had 13 altogether, so that was more than I had expected! A Japanese woman in our church came, bringing her mother with her. It was nice to get to know them both a little better, and they enjoyed commiserating about Japan with the missionary! Everyone left by 3:20, and I had just enough time to change clothes before leaving for the memorial service, which was beautifully done. I got home from that around 5:30. After starting the tomato soup for supper to thaw, I just had to shut myself in my room to be alone for a while. I actually fell asleep. Dfriend R was at our home 30 minutes later, I got up soon after that, and then it was dinner prep, chatting with R and S, who arrived a little later, and clean up, etc.

I'm glad I checked my calendar last night b/c I had completely forgotten that I am scheduled to bring a meal to a friend with a new baby today. I'm just going to make more of what is on our family's menu plan for today: teriyaki-ed salmon, rice, steamed veggies, bread, dessert. I forgot to pick up a baguette to go with their meal at the groc. store this a.m. so I'll stop by Whole Foods later. Their baguettes are better anyway. :)

So, my a.m. routine and devo time (and weekly menu plan and list) were done before I headed out the door to the groc. store this a.m. It is now almost 1:30; I'll need to start cooking prep at 2 b/c I will be out and about from 3 - 4:30, taking dd16 to an orthodontist appt. at 3:15 and then picking up dd13 from synchro. swimming at 4:15-ish. I might have 20 minutes at home in between those 2 errands. Then, I hope to leave my house at 5 pm to drive to the nearby village to deliver the meal. So, my afternoon is pretty much planned out for me. LOL!

When dh left this a.m. he said 7 of the papers were in good shape. That is amazing! The deadline is 3 a.m. (I suppose the location of paper reception must be in California and the deadline there is midnight), and he and the (grad) students absolutely will stay up until then if necessary -- but maybe that won't be necessary after all. Dh is still jetlagging AND he worked late last night, went to bed after me (don't know when, maybe midnight) and got up before me to work more this a.m. I asked him how he was doing it, and he said he is running on adrenaline. He is going to crash soon, maybe tomorrow.

Lunchtime is over. Must get back to work. Switching laundry and finishing the New Year cards are my activities until 2 pm, when I will prep the green beans, garlic, and onions.

Thanks for the ((((Hugs)))) and understanding in dealing with little one feeling yucky. I had to laugh earlier today as I was listening to LO talk on the phone with his GGMa and told her with his voice muffled through a stuffy nose "I feeel veery veery bad." I'm thankful his doctor started him on antibodies last Tuesday so maybe he can work his way through this without any infection/pneumonia. It is bright sunshine about 60 degrees with zero wind. ABSOLUTELY beautiful outdoors. After being cooped up for a week, I thought it would be good for LO to get out while this weather is so beautiful. VBSigh. He last about 10 minutes before he choked up and started coughing. Poor fella.

I'm feeling okay. I have a stuffy head/nose and need a kleenex about every 30 minutes. I like to move my body around stretching this and that muscle because they ache and the movement lets me feel each muscle. It is some kind of silliness for me to enjoy feeling the muscle stretch and the mild ouchy that comes with it. However after being stretched the achy feeling goes away......for a little bit.

Indiana - great idea! I really REALLY don't want to give up legumes. I need them to help lower my cholesterol. I think they are good carbs and they are one of the carbs we tested adding back into our diet last year without any problems to DH BS.

After I finish my afternoon treat (DPepsi), I am going to run an errand for DH while LO naps. DH is being very considerate to get me out of the house as often as possible.

Back from the PFT tests this am and now DH has a Holter monitor on for 24 hours. Must log any change in activity level.

We stopped at store on the way home and I bought another fleece nighty for the MH. Also got a bright green tote for the Christmas decorations.

Just finished the phone call and email to the Title Company about the sale of our lot. Think that is all out of the way unless she needs more info. Otherwise just waiting for the buyers to get financing and the closing.

Next up more lists so I don't forget something important when we go back to the MH tomorrow.
