Yep definitely lively here now fort building going on with pillows and blankets in the living room with foot stool etc. to hold it up.

Diff. movie going now. H. had to have some cake too. I had a bit it's frosted very thinly.
I've not made a cake in a year and a half surprised that I knew how! LOL! Guess I'll miss Am. Idol oh well grey's will be when I have them chill out and rest.

Tuna was good for dinner w/ green beans.

Tomorrow's planning I've been working on a list for the groc. store, called in an Rx refill.

I think my biggest fear of traveling is getting "lost" in an air port, bus, or train depot missing my connection for the next leg of the journey. Or big city free ways. :? Ack!

Neighbors were building some thing until nine ish last night today I saw they had a canvas cover over a utility trailer with supports under it and it snapped on the teen age son likes hunting so I'm thinking it's to go behind them when they go for gear etc. they are pulling it w/ a jeep.

Dh was home again today. He did not sleep well last night and on top of not feeling well, he decided to give it one more day.

I was at the other house today and have the 3 bedrooms upstairs deep cleaned. The carpet cleaners come at 8:30 in the morning. I need to buy enough groceries to get me through the weekend. Then I need to tackle the 2 bathrooms, hallway, entry, laundry area, kitchen and dining room. The basement consists of the family room, another bedroom and the utility (furnace, hot water heater and water softener) room. I can knock it off pretty quick, anyway I hope I can, after the main floor is done.

I finally bit the bullet last night and ordered a comforter, bedskirt, regular shams, euro shams, euro pillows, 3 different styles of decorative pillows, a pair of drapes and a valance from Penneys. There were actually 2 other designs that I liked but they were a lot higher and wouldn't match the carpet. This group of stuff was on sale for $168.00. I saved $581.00. If it looks as good as the pictures I will be happy with it. If not, I can always return it. This is for the queen size bed that is the basement guestroom. The large walkin closet doesn't have a door, so I thought I would use 1 panel for the door. There is just 1 window so I will use the valance and since the window is about 24" long, the I will cut off the panel and make a smaller curtain. What is left, I will cut it where it will be square and hem it. I have a round bedside table that I will put a 70 inch navy tablecloth on and then will layer this square over it. In my mind this all looks great. I am hoping it will actually look great. I've already bought a blanket for the bed and have a mattress pad. Now I will need to buy sheets.

At the rate I am going, I sure hope that I have this house squared away by the time the weather warms up.

Just realized I hadn't even said hello to y'all today!
I think MAYBE I am finding a LITTLE * TINY * BIT of my motivation. NOOOO... the house is not clean... not at all... haven't even started to touch that -- in fact, I may be ignoring it more than usual.
BUT... * drum roll * ... I have s2barefeet before computer TWO DAYS IN ROW now.
LOL... I know that is a very small accomplishment... but y'all know it is a HUGE hurdle for me to overcome.
So I am proud of myself.

Today we got out of school early b/c of flash flood warnings. Now I'm hoping for a late start tomorrow for the same reason.
Doesn't look like that's happening, though, so I'm going to try to get into bed a little earlier than midnight for a change.

I'm feeling pretty good about school stuff right now. I stayed a little later -- after we dismissed today -- and got a good bit accomplished, and I finished up a lot of stuff tonight. I could put grades in the computer here at home, but it's much easier at school where I have more desk space. Here, my computer is on a little cart-type thing, with really no tabletop space on either side of the keyboard or monitor.
The main reason I feel good about it, however, is b/c when we came in after visiting dinlaws & eating supper, I almost sat down at the computer again... but then I said, nope, I'm going to do what I really need to do before I start in on what I want to do.

Also walked a mile w/dh when I got home today...
and
* picked up the ironing from the ironing lady
* helped dh put away clothes
* went to post office
* paid gas bill
* got oil changed in SUV
* went to drug store w/dh
* visited w/ds & ddil for a little while when they came over to get a video

So. I've been a little more productive and responsible in managing my time... but it's left me less time to stare at the computer. :(

CUOP (at least as far as topic review allows)

Lilac -- I think the bedroom sounds really nice! You got a GREAT deal on all this! Hope dh feels better tomorrow.

Nancy -- I remember my dbro was CONSTANTLY building forts like that!

Ooohhh... 17/18 hour flights... (((Kathryn)))

(((Sunny & Mr. Sunny))) -- hope you get better news for dh @ his next blood test.

Waving to Harmony... the quilt idea is so nice! My paternal dgm made quilts for all the granddaughters. I'm not sure if the boys ever got theirs or not. Probably did, though, b/c she also made one for ds. I wouldn't take anything for mine! And I love ds's too. It was so neat, b/c she had it made before ds was even walking, I guess, and it is the little farmer boy pattern w/the back of the boy wearing overalls. All the overalls (and the hats) are blue jeans on ds's quilt, and the rest of it is red & white. The red & white doesn't match anything in either of our houses, but I thought it was so perfect for ds, b/c he grew up to be a boy who is more comfortable in overalls than anything else! Dgm died when he was 6. I've probably told this little story a thousand times here... but I do treasure my quilts sooo much, and I really admire all of you who make these heirlooms for your children & grandchildren.
I also have quilts my maternal dgm made for ds & me... and a couple of baby quilts dmom made when I was a baby. Can't wait to see if grandbaby gets to use the pink or blue one!

Hope everything goes well tomorrow, Dee, w/the counselor & dgd! Glad you're finally seeing some results from the rx people.
BIG WTG to your dd!!! 44 pounds is fantastic!!! I, on the other hand, have your problem. I was almost down to the 15... numbers. * sigh * Now... bouncing around 163, 164. I know y'all are disappointed in me. I just quit posting in H&F b/c I am so hopeless.

I better get in the bed. It will be midnight before I can turn around!
Tomorrow is another day.

Well it's after midnight here too. I'm about to crash. Lucylee, I'm hoping my grandkids enjoy these things (if I ever get them all made) because someday I won't be here and maybe they'll remember me when they see them. I know for sure one DGSon will like whatever I make him, he is very appreciative of anything, even a pair of jeans or TShirt for a present. I asked my oldest DGS if he'd like a quilt some day and he was very interested. So we'll see. I have 16 squares made and sewed together. How are your parents?

I forgot to bring in the laundry. It is hanging out on our back porch. I'll get it tomorrow when the dampness dries.
