Hugs to (OKay) and (Sadie).

I stayed busy until about 3:30 when I gave up and crawled between the sheets and fell deeply asleep. I guess I have a little bug of some sort. I am better, but my symptoms have left me a little weak.

DH came home from working all day alone (unable to get a helper to come out today and he didn't tell me he was working alone). I don't know what I could have done today anyway, in my shape. But he was all done in and every muscle cramping. I had to help get him settled and after he got cleaned up I got him some dinner (yay for leftovers). Then I drove him to vote because I didn't want him driving like that.

Been sleeping all evening. I sure hope we both do better tomorrow.

Really good thing to have in the refrigerator: homemade chicken broth. Sure tasted good.

Kathryn, you're not going to be cruising in waters around North Eastern Africa? I know you enjoy your trips, but I'm always glad when you're back home safe and sound.

Harmony, nope, I'm facing Nigerian pirates, not Somalian! (Honestly, I didn't know there was such a thing - but ds was sure to tell me and he's not pleased.) Our routing is from Namibia to Ghana, skipping Sao Tome which was on previous cruises. I'm wondering if that is so we can stay farther out to sea, away from the Nigerian coast.

Meeting went well logistically but ran long, well over 2 hours.

Kitchen is cleaned up now, dishwasher is running and a load of laundry is done. I also got my Tuesday chores done. Still am missing Monday, Sunday and other weekend chores.

Off to bed now, tomorrow is another big day.

Warning, long post ahead, but I am trying to catch up with everything!!!!
I feel like I have just been sooo out of the loop with everything here lately… I’ve been cuop and trying to check in with y’all everyday, but I just feel like I’m missing out on something, you know?
School is busy, and after-school errands, etc. have just been beyond belief busy, I think! Every single day, I've had some sort of list of TO DO's. * sheesh *
I did exercise much more in Jan. than in any month since August, I believe, but other than that, the first month of the year has been very unproductive around here. :oops:

I have to say ditto – my She-sisters are a VERY good influence on me, too!!! I can never express how much I appreciate all you girls have taught me and helped me with. I am so very very thankful that you all put up with me. Maybe my HOUSE doesn't show it, but I think my mental state IS more... dare I say mature? than maybe I used to be when y'all first met me? Maybe not... and I still battle a lot of anxieties... but I think I'm improving, little by little.
The quote for the morning was VERY good, though, OKay… and I don’t think I can’t do – whatever it is I need to do… but oh my… I’ve certainly been slow to do a lot of those things. :oops:
I’m so glad you are feeling better, and (((LO))) Hope he feels better soon!!!

Dee – how did Mission Provoke DGD turn out? Hope dsil feels better soon. (((More Hugs))) re: MedWOE.
the attempt to have a normal day today is failing.
Oh, Harriet… how I resemble THAT remark…
(((BIG HUGS))) for dd!!! And also for (((you))) with doctor’s appt tomorrow.
I wake up every morning feeling like I'm going to get things done, but by the time I beat my head against the wall all day long I don't get anything done at home. … My thoughts are filled with wanting to get into better shape, eat better,..
Yep… that’s me, too, Twins!

Maybe I need to “reformat” my life, too, Indiana! :D

Hmmm… MT has given me a reason to sleep late (in the summer, I mean)!
LOL -- I’m not lazy… I’m just waiting for the rest of the world to wake up & get busy. ;)

So glad to see you feeling so well, Nancy! Sounds like you had a very good day! WTG!

Helia, I just cannot imagine keeping up the schedule you do. I really admire the way you & your dh set aside time for each child individually. That is so important I think.

Elizabeth, sounds like you are keeping a very busy schedule, too! Hope all goes well w/your trip.
I agree, I like the optimism around here. Not enough of it comes from me.
Ooohhh… I could have said that, TOO, Harmony!!! I worry sometimes that I fret & complain & worry too much when I’m here in the village. I don’t want to make everyone sick of me!
(But I don’t think YOU are lacking in optimism at all, Harmony!!! YOUR schedule is so much like my dmom’s that I KNOW what you’re up against! You do just fine.)
Also, I hope your tummy is feeling better now, too! And, I hope dh has an easier day tomorrow, too!

WTG, sher, w/Christmas put away.
DS & ddil finally got their tree put away this week.(LOL – one of their neighbors told my aunt that they looked “just like a Hallmark card” when she passed by before Christmas and saw them in the window putting the tree up. Unfortunately, it stayed up so long, they were embarrassed to open their curtains for the past few weeks. No more Hallmark card images.)

Be careful, Kathryn! You’ve got a lot on your plate right now… but getting your license sounds exciting! Congratulations!

(((Sadie))) Hang in there! You ARE amazing! Listen to your (very wise & perceptive) ds!

Ta-da's for today:
* Two phone calls for school business
* Visited dinlaws
* Visited dh's aunts in nursing home, with ds & ddil, carried bday gifts to one who will be 92 on Thursday
* bank
* CVS
* other drug store
* doctor's office to pick up rx that could not be phoned or faxed :roll:
* load of laundry in washer
Tomorrow is another day.

It's been a long day. I finally got home at 9:45 this evening. First thing I did was feed two very hungry ddogs their supper. They sure were glad to see me! Then I got a bite for myself; I'm sipping some tea now. I took time to relax and read post from today.

I had a shopping list made out for groceries, etc. and was just about ready to leave this morning when the Dr. called to say that dh was in recovery from his first procedure and was doing well. I went to the bank and then to W-M. They were must stops because we were completely out of dog food and I needed to get a birthday card and gift card for ds#1 - his 42nd birthday was yesterday!

I had a wonderful hour+ long talk with dsis. She called me while I was in the store and couldn't stay connected, so I talked to her while sitting in the parking lot before driving to see dh. I don't talk and drive! We talked about so many things!

I agree with everyone about this being a wonderful place to come. We can all be ourselves and still know that we have wisdom, support and companionship here!

Lucy, you may think you don't get a lot done, but reading down your list it seems like a lot to me! ♥♥♥ In fact, you all seem so much busier than me, but then I'm easy going and maybe just don't count each separate thing!

((Hugs)) Harriet. Will be thinking about you tomorrow at dr. . Also thinking about Harmony, feel better (and dh, too); OKay, dparents and LO; Twins; Harriet's dd; Dee, for dd, dsil and dgd; ((Sadie)); and many more! My dgd17 had hurt her knee last year playing soccer. She had phys therapy and wore a brace for a while, but it still bothers her. Ddil took her to another dr and he sent them to a specialist. She's supposed to start another round of phys therapy soon. Sports injuries must be more common in schools nowadays!

I know there's more I wanted to say, but my mind is mush! I need to clean off the table and put the rest of the groceries away, then I'm going to go lay down --- I'm tired!
Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible. --- Francis of Assisi
