I made up the crab dip, dishes have been rinsed and loaded. Did some art work with my art supplies adding color to some of the stuff in my sketch book. [Did not make it to church.]

Bed needs made up I got the dishes rinsed and loaded.
Bed is made, I've spiffed my office. Next time to clear the dining table.

Re: Super Sunday
Church is done and I'm up for some quiet.
I'm on the fundraising committee now. But three couples, all close friends, make up the committee so we'll have a blast. I'm envisioning that we'll meet over meals.
Ds called and may not come for dinner. He's worked 99 hours this 2 week pay period and the project has a trainer in from Boston. Who would like to watch the SuperBowl. Ds is tagged to be the social director because he's closest in age to the trainer. So he's waiting to hear if the guy wants company and I suggested he just go buy wings and meatballs, etc. because that would be way cheaper than going out to a noisy sports bar. Anyway, ds will call later to say if he's coming for dinner. I'd tell him to invite the trainer except I have no interest in watching the game.
We got home to a call on the business line. Dh went to pick it up from the call answer system and got a notice that the number we dial to pick up messages has changed. Good thing that didn't happen when we are traveling. The new number is toll-free. Which means it doesn't work outside Canada and the US. So I went online and found out how to pick up messages from overseas. And then emailed the church to let them know since they use the same system and all pick-up numbers are changing.
I'm going to have a 20 - 60 minute nap now. I need it.

Re: Super Sunday
It is a bright sunny day.
Sorry I have MIA I have one thing I have been working on and more importantly working on my breathing.
My tumor has grown and my cardiologist doesn't want the surgery until I have my breathing more under control. So that is my concentration. I have to take my oxygen rate more often to see if it is staying the same or dropping. If dropping - why.
I am fine we just want to get me on as little oxygen as possible.

Re: Super Sunday
Indiana, I am sorry you have another challenge before you. But I was glad to read a couple days ago of your good report from cardiologist.
I may turn on the game a bit later. Right now I'm watching a PBS program about Buckingham Palace, it's very interesting. DH is out at youth leader's house with the youth group watching the game. If he was here he probably wouldn't have it on.
Church was good this morning. We went early so I could help with communion trays between the 1st & 2nd services, then I helped after the 2nd, and came back after the third to pick up DH but stayed to help with the cleanup first. Then we ran all over town looking for that hose nozzle which apparently nobody carries any more. I may look at Amazon that Lilac (?) recommended.
Puttered around. Getting ready for 2 big days coming; bank to close account, CpA to sign papers, an insurance audit Tuesday and church meeting Tues. eve. And get this, our committee leader now says she wants to change my minutes format. I did them 1 month ago and gave her a copy. Now, with all this on my plate and meeting in 2 days she wants to change it around. Sigh...I'm trying to adjust my attitude to be pleasant and accommodating, but I'm really miffed she waited this long. Plus, before I did them I asked her if there was anything she wanted me to do and she said, "I'm sure anything you do will be just fine". Apparently not.

Re: Super Sunday
My nap was delayed by a phone call from the house-checker. She can handle the job so that is arranged. I warned her that ds was moving so if she saw things appear in the garage, they were being staged there to move in and not staged there to be picked up later by robbers. (That actually happened to my aunt and uncle - they arrived home between trips made by the robbers and things were piled in their garage.)
I rested for 20 minutes and then ds called to say he wasn't coming for dinner. We talked with him for 30 minutes. I got up shortly after that because I wasn't getting any rest.
Dinner was leftovers and we watched tv. I've just sorted the bookkeeping by month. It looks less overwhelming that way. My goal is to get three months done tonight (there are nine in total.) And not everything, just things involved with the bank account (some bills, payroll and bank reconciliation.) We only have about 10 transactions a month so this is doable.

Re: Super Sunday
(((Indiana))) Sending sooo many good wishes and prayers your way! (((BIG HUGS)))
We're watching the ballgame -- well, dh is. I am mostly watching the commercials. Grading papers... now I'm on the computer b/c I need to do lesson plans... also have a load of laundry spinning.
Went to visit dparents this afternoon.
Also went to dinlaws w/dh.
And our 9:00 a.m. church service was well attended... and it was nice to get home early... but since we didn't stay for Sunday School, we were almost home TOO early, you know? Too early for lunch, and we were sooo sleepy. It's going to take awhile to get into a new routine, I can see that!
(((Harmony))) re: committee person. * sheesh *
MT -- dh here doesn't like to watch games w/others, either. (Well, except for ds.) He's not really into the Super Bowl so much, though. He is pulling for the Giants b/c they have two AU players, but really, after Atlanta & Tennessee, he doesn't get too fanatical about any NFL teams. He watches whatever is on, but he's not going to be screaming at the refs or anything unless those two teams are playing. Now when it comes to college sports/AU... oh my. He can hardly stand to watch a game on tv at all. I think he believes if he is present in the stadium, somehow he can help them. LOL.
Well... better get to work.

Re: Super Sunday
We have the game on. Until a few minutes ago I was preparing supper, eating it, emptying dishwasher, baking cookies and then washing the things I don't put in the dishwasher. Dh is now asleep.
Dh worked on his "shop" as he calls it at the other house. Although he didn't move anything. When he came home, we started browsing the internet about selling your own home. We decided to get it appraised and whatever they appraise it for will be the asking price, period. That way when we find a buyer they will know what it is worth and why we are firm about the price. Several different sites mentioned that setting the right price is the most important thing in selling your own home. We are curious to how close our price is to the appraised price. We just don't want to have to lower the price after we get a buyer because it doesn't appraise high enough. Of course, this sets us back a week or two. We just don't want to mess with realtors. Most places their take is 6%, here it is 7%. When dfriend was putting their house for sale, her dh went and talked with the realtor that they had when they bought the house. He was hoping that she would do it for 1% less. She informed him in no uncertain terms that she doesn't give anyone a discount, no matter how many times she has worked with them in the past. Needless to say, they went with a different realtor.
Dh is awake and the game is getting exciting.

Re: Super Sunday
Today did NOT get off to a good start! DH got home from work, put on coffee, fiddled on the computer for a bit, and FINALLY came upstairs at 7:15 to wake me since my alarm was blaring away and I hadn't gotten up. I appreciate that he woke me...but he knows I get up at 6am, and have a LOT of critters to care for (four more as of yesterday).
So...I got up, threw on some clothes (fortunately, we can wear what we want on Sundays), brushed my hair, made sure the critters had food and water, and dashed out the door. Work was nice and quiet...not as productive as I'd like, but not bad. After work, I stopped at the grocery store for oranges, coffee creamer, and a case of pop. $65 later, I left.
When I got home, I threw an absolute hissy fit
The dishes that have been sitting in the sink since Thursday when I got home from work were STILL there! I yelled at DS, since it's his day off, and all he did was hang with his friends and play on his computer.....now the three of them are busy cleaning the kitchen.
The fact that the rest of the house is a complete disaster is NOT helping! I swear I'm getting worse and worse with just bringing things into the house. I bring in another bag of stuff from some consignment store or other, and I couldn't even tell you where I've put half the stuff! Fortunately, after tomorrow, I have four days off, and although I have a few things to do out of the house, I'm going to be spending at least two full days cleaning and dejunking this place!! It won't get it all done, but it will help some.
I'm not sure what's causing these outbursts of temper....especially since I'm mostly mad at myself for letting things get this bad again. I guess I'm going to have to find my big girl panties and get things in shape!
Oh....for anyone wondering, these are DD's choices for a wedding dress and for a bridesmaid dress

Re: Super Sunday
Bittersweet just reminded me I don't have the dishes done. I'm running behind - dh is upstairs already - so I'll put them in hot water overnight and let God do most of the work. It is only the dinner dishes because I washed up the breakfast and baking dishes before church (I baked an Impossible Bacon pie and a batch of muffins for the church brunch before we left for church at 9.)
I did get the three months of data entry done so that felt good. I'd keep going but dh is upstairs getting ready for bed and I hate to go to bed after he's been in bed - it makes me feel guilty. But now I know it takes about 20 minutes a month. Which means I have 2 hours left to do. I can polish that off in the morning, I'm sure, then do banking in the afternoon.
See you all tomorrow!
