FRIDAY FIESTA
Have a fiesta all your own when your accomplish that certain something today! For me, I've already done that 1 thing I really needed to get done today -figure out dh's meds for the next couple of months. Needed to figure out if I needed to order anything before he leaves for the north -mainly because once I change the address to up there for one of us, both will change. I couldn't figure out his stomach meds until I searched Med Co a little deeper to discover that it evidently had been ordered earlier and was listed as ordered yesterday. So that will be here in plenty of time. Everything else he had enough to last through the end of June, so I'm "good".
DH and I are leaving momentarily -he's doing some shopping and I'm going to church to help with the bulletin. Tomorrow we're going to Ocala to visit our neighbors from camp. Wanted to visit db/dsil but they're going to be busy. So we'll book that for another day. Had hoped to do it in 1 day as it's nearly 2 hours up there.
Have a festive day, everyone!!

Re: FRIDAY FIESTA
Good morning, Dee and the rest of the village. At work today - need to leave at 5:30 tho to go to temple and then to rabbi's house for dinner afterwards. And.....have the weekend off. Announcement made yesterday that tax staff can take weekend off - they sometimes do give us the Sat off after March 15, but right now everyone is also low on work. Very strange workflow for tax season because there's no big backlog anywhere. Afraid we'll be that much busier later this month and early April.
I gotta keep mind on work today!

Re: FRIDAY FIESTA
We are going on a cruise tonight.
The church is having a "Jamaican Me Crazy" social night tonight. They are transforming the social room into a cruise ship. It should be fun.
Then Saturday our wood carving week starts. So we will be up at the Activities Center most of the week.
Today I have to spiff up the yard a bit by raking up the small branches, filling in the holes where I pulled out the agave and generally making it look better as I will not be able to work on it for a week.
Then I have to go to W and get some groceries - including my contribution for tonight's dinner.
Somewhere today, I have to cut both Dh's and my hair and spiff up the house. So I'm going to be busy today.
Talked to my daughter who lives near Helia and the bad storms missed them, too. They also got some hail. The dogs didn't want to go out in it.

Re: FRIDAY FIESTA
I'm up and at it. Slowly.
I did the treadmill this morning for 2 miles, booked my mammogram (after yelling because it wasn't priority to them but it was to me), called our house checker and told her that I'll drive her to the hospital for her cataract surgery and to the follow-on appointments, s2s (shaving everything), and started to catch up on my missed devotions (I'm now only 2 days behind.) I've just finished breakfast so need to start my day.
Tomorrow I'm gone all day at my last preaching seminar and there's a potluck after that so the meat is defrosting to make up a hamburg chowder. I'm pleased I had all the ingredients on hand.

Re: FRIDAY FIESTA
I'm up on time granny duty begins shortly.
Coffee is brewed.
My bag of supplies meds. bs checker had fallen out of my purse in the car
this morning and would not work until I warmed it up next to my skin.
Sigh at least I found it for a bit I was thinking I'd left it at dd's.
Glad it was here.
House is creeping back to normal state around here.
It's not raining at the moment but I did hear it in the night. real cafe' coffee kept me awake longer that I wanted last night. I went to bed early as my show is in reruns thought I'd get
extra rest for the day.
Dgson is going to be here until noonish today. Granny duty has begun! *~Poof~*

Re: FRIDAY FIESTA
Fiesta Friday is also Day 5 of spring break with DD10 at my house. I got to payroll early because DD got up before my alarm. I could have used more sleep, but I am not dozing at my desk. I am thinking Chinese tonight. I got lots of bills in the mail yesterday, but probably cannot pay them until DD leaves Saturdat night. I started a crocheted doll blanket for DD last night - 4 strands of worsted weight, going to 3 strands (ran out of one), and using a Q hook, so it goes fast. DD is doing chain stitches in orange. Tonight i need to set meat in the fridge to defrost for guests tomorrow. Saturday I was thinking of going to the zoo with DD if the weather is ok. If not, I need to think of something she can do with a broken wrist.

Re: FRIDAY FIESTA
I have to change the meal plan because ds is coming for dinner. And bringing his laundry. The new apartment has a laundry room so now he has to pay for laundry. I suspect we might see him more often!
So dh will have to wait until tomorrow night for his Chinese food.
I'm still not moving around getting things done, but I feel like I might be able to be productive if I really put my mind to it.

Re: FRIDAY FIESTA
I've got a fiesta of work going on around here now.
Did my impersonation of a morning person again... I do have a bit of extra energy in the mornings I never used to have. Most days I wake excited to get chores out of the way so I have some time to do the things I want, like sewing.
Watered foundation plants and brought in brocoli from the garden. Cooked up all the brocoli I've gathered the past couple days and froze them for later. 2 LOL done and hanging, perm press stuff and 1 guest bedroom sheets. Dailies and morning routine done. Looked up some mileage and made out a check for someone, got that and letter to DGSon in the mailbox. DGSon wants us to be penpals so he sent us a 2 page letter with some coupons and recipes included! Isn't that sweet? We wrote him back and I sent him a puzzle paper I had saved.
Soaking a stained sweater, hope that turns out. Folded a big huge LOL that's been waiting. Fielded a bunch of phone calls includin family ones where we are organizing plans for next week. I think DD1 is bringing her 3 kids + 2 of DD's kids down on Wed. morning. It will be a full house around here, especially Thursday when Northern family comes in.
My goodness I have a lot to get done by then. I have shopping list started.
I'm glad Helia wasn't affected badly by the storm.
Hope everybody has a nice day. Anybody doing a conga today?

Re: FRIDAY FIESTA
Today has been a good day for following my "normal" day schedule. It feels good to focus on TCOMOB (taking care of my own business).

Re: FRIDAY FIESTA
I didn't turn on the computer until now, but yes, I've been conga-ing, Harmony. I was doing my imitation of an efficient morning person!
I've cleaned both bathrooms and continued on with my Swiffer-mopping and got the kitchen, too. Bath mat in the washing machine now for the second load of the day.
Also Desk Day for my ddad this morning, through to mailbox.
Dd13 has slipped backward in her room cleaning and so I did a 27-fling boogie in there.
Lots of general pickup.
Nancy, of COURSE not, you didn't fail. Just add one more day on for no creamer.
Elizabeth, that sounds so nice for you and dd to be crocheting together.
That's a great theme for a party, Emptynester - love the name!
Happy for you to have days off, Twins Mom.
OKay and Twins Mom, how are sweet puppydogs doing? Feeling better all 'round I hope.
Dee, our ins sent a letter saying they no longer have MedCo (I only used it for thyroid pills anyway). They have switched to "Prime". Who knows.
Oh, Sunny, the quilt photos are SO COOL.
