Wow, that was some dog -can we learn from him how to be in more than one place at a time? ;)

I have a spot on the inside of my right ankle that is absolutely driving me insane! I got a bite there a few days ago and it itched some and I was careful not to scratch. But today the itch has spread in all directions and I've plastered it with anti-itch cream at least 2 dozen times this morning. It reaches a point I absolutely can not stand it any more and put more on. I also just took an allergy pill -after I found some. I know I'm very allergic to flea bites and that could well be what it is. DD has treated dlab, but I'm not sure.....

Folded the laundry, cleaned the kitchen, did the dishes, picked up the entry way, living room, dining room, hallway to laundry room and ran the cleaner. So now I'll fix my hair and head out to go visit dsisil. Have to pick up gd at 3. See you all later. Hoping Indiana gets back with good news!

Good morning! I had a good weekend even though DD10 was in Alabama with XDH. Friday, I worked on weeds. It doesn't look like the weed killer worked so I may have done it too late in the day. Saturday, I slept way too late (like 11:30!) then went to lunch and sewing with a friend, then I went to the Special Olympics award dinner with a different friend. No time to mope about that day! Sunday was the usual church attendance, followed by nap, then cat adoption clinic. Clinic was so slow, I finished 2 books! Today, I need to reorder meds, look into an amusement park pass, buy some shoes, and put away laundry. This week I will have DD because XDH is on a business trip.

Aw, too bad Indiana has something else to deal with.

And Harriet, must be awful trying to get better and take care of DDad at the same time.

Dee, I join you in the "something bit me" brigade. I have a welt on the bottom back of my neck that is itching like crazy. I had DD look to make sure there wasn't a stinger or something in it, but she didn't see anything...It's been about 5 days and only now getting better.

I'm having an awful day here. Ever since the first wave of company was here I've not been "right" in my lower tummy. I kept doing things to fix, but I have a situation where too much fiber is as bad as too little. Today I'm having waves of pain. Aggravating since I have stuff I want to get done. Did a few hours at my desk and I'm trying to keep going between bouts, but not working so well.

I did get 2 loads of towels washed up and hung. Downloaded tax forms for end of quarter. I may have to give up and crawl into bed. I took the mother-load of fix-its and just have to wait it out. In former years when this would hit I'd have to rely on pain killers (major ones) and I'm just on the edge of that.

Rats! I wanted to get things done around here.

Twins, if there are permits on your job and engineering turned in for your windows, there is usually a quick fix for that, different engineering and plans changes. Just a nominal fee here. The problem is if those windows were already ordered. Since the economy went bad window companies don't stock things ahead and are made to order and most aren't returnable. However, if the builder is building other houses, they could be utilized elsewhere. Be the squeaky wheel, they may just not want to bother...

Harmony, I've gotten with the designer this morning and she's getting us a price on the change. Although ideally I'd change them all, I can live with changing the windows across the back where we would be mostly looking out. That would leave the traditional facade the same. Anyway, we will see.

Making progress..... I've been staying on schedule and getting as many cards completed in their time slot as I can. DH came home and took LO with him on an errand to give preacher his paycheck so I've took this opportunity to do some DPC's.

THANKFULLY I've kept good notes on the transition to different phone carrier last month. We had an unexpected $218 phone bill show up  however I had all the information needed in my notes to get that bill waved.....again. That was after I went through the process (again) of being passed from one department to another....to another...to another....

Did research to find someone to do a yard fence/gate project for us. Found 6 possible companies that does that type of work in our area. Called all of them and am now waiting call backs and/or estimates from 3 of them.

Harmony, HRH is not home yet but I feel confident saying he would advise potatoes. There are days he will eat potatoes for 2 meals to get back to feeling well. Not sweet, white.

OKay, that is what happened to us when we switched from one plan/service to another within the ATT umbrella. Infuriating, since it is all supposed to be the same company but they will not work together and won't believe customer. When they make these calls saying, "It will be no trouble at all" to make a switch, that is such a crock in our experience.

Dstepson called and wants to come. Both he and HRH say I need to call dstepdil and get some help with the other house because I am barely getting things done around here, and her time may be limited before we have a surprise call from dd32. I've been resisting because any other time I have been with her to help and answer questions and this time I may not feel like it.

Fleas - even with treated pets, you can get a flea bite outside because squirrels carry them.

Dstepdil called me instead, prompted by her dh, lol. She might be able to come Friday if things work out, she's not sure. She suddenly finds herself swamped with work which is a good thing. She is sore from a new exercise routine she plunged into too quickly, so I was able to give some advice.

Dstepson and HRH have evidently been cell-phoning and now dstepson is running errands before coming here. I just have to let everyone bustle about.

Harriet, the word "delegate" comes to mind...... ;)

Ouch, Indiana! As if you needed one more thing.

Another lovely day here. Guess I should quit writing that, the days have all been lovely recently. A cold front is supposed to come through this afternoon/evening, accompanied by possible storms and a substantial drop in temps. Sounds good to me.

If I had a 5x5 today it would look something like this:

1. Locate bank statements
2. Work on taxes
3. Work on taxes
4. Work on taxes
5. Take tax info to accountant (won't happen today)

Better get to it. Waving to all, have a wonderful Monday!

Waving hi to all.

I'm timing my tasks/chores today to see how long they actually take me. This will give me more accurate info. for planning my daily tasks. And figuring in breaks, meals, snacks, etc. Using the timer is helping me keep my focus and awareness of time.

Back later to check in.

Jake minded his manners and had a wonderful time cuddling with my neighbor. She is one of his favorite people.

The good ting this morning was they only drew blood in ER and they were able to use it for the blood test I was getting.

I spent 3 hours in ER. The ER doc wanted me out of there in an hour but... heart attacks, strokes, 3 residents from other parts of our village were taken to ER. Plus the ones that mad him mad were the ones that belong in urgent care and not ER. I could hear they were being slammed so I just took a nap. The ER doc thanked me for being so patient and understanding. He was glad I had a sense of humor and knew my body.

I warned him not to close the wound too tight. My lymph has to drain. He gave me an antibiotic and a cream and said to do my standard thing - put Vaseline over the trail that the lymph takes when it drains. Lymph is caustic.

While I was gone they cleaned my rug and bathroom floor. As much blood as there was they didn't think I was coming home.

I have 5 stitches and he gave me three pieces of surgical equipment to remove my stitches when it is time. He said normally he doesn't recommend it but since I take good care of myself I can do it. He gave me a range of days to see if it is ready.

So I had an exciting Monday.

Oh I decided to have a fast food burger. I haven't had one in over 6 months.
